Came by for a few items the other night and it was a lacklustre experience. Parts of the plaza where Walmart is located is now deserted...no more Kohl's, no more Dairy Queen, no more TK Noodle, no more T-Mobile, and no more Albertson's... Parts of the parking lot were dark. There were some people cooking some type of food for sale...perhaps a sign of the times. Watching people attempt to park or claim they parked was extremely concerning... This Walmart has been drastically remodelled since my last visit. The store was bright, stocked and clean. The biggest difference I noticed was the lack of the 50 bank of self-checkouts. Instead self-checkout is now limited to 15 items enforced and only has ~6 self-checkout banks. There were a good 15-20 full service checkout lanes. The receipt checker by the door also now uses a barcode scanner to validate receipts.

The last few times I've come to this store, I've ended up dealing with Olive, and each interaction has made it clear she assumes the worst instead of listening or trying to resolve anything. One visit, I simply needed to take my fully scanned cart back into the shopping area while my wife, who had my card, finished up in the Vision Center inside the store. Instead of helping, Olive insisted I abandon everything and re-shop, treating me like I was trying to get away with something nefarious even though both my card ,my wife, and myself were all in the store. Another customer had to step in before she stopped pushing that narrative. More recently, I tried to buy a single can of beer with my valid Utah ID, which was issued by the state about a week ago after my original was destroyed. I went to a regular checkout lane run by Rob, who seemed overwhelmed or maybe disinterested based on the lack of communication. When I handed him my ID, he immediately said they do not accept my ID I tried to show him further and he refused to discuss further, and a few short moments later, Olive showed up again to deny my ID with no real explanation. The irony is that she entered all my ID information herself, the system accepted it without issue and they even made the purchase facilitated by my wife (using my ID and card) yet both still refused to acknowledge the my ID as valid. At this point, it is clear the issue is not misunderstanding. It is a lack of training and a refusal to actually listen and resolve. Or I'm being profiled for some reason and I sure hope that is not the case. I am tired of being treated like I am doing something shady when I'm doing what is asked and trying to cooperate. I will make sure everyone is aware that this store is not worth their time, patience, or money and they'd be better off shopping anywhere else.

Recently remodeled so getting to the food section is not a huge chore anymore. All tools and parts locked up so expect to wait if you're buying that. All mens underwear and work clothes locked up. All electronics locked up. New better disabled parking. State sponsored gambling in the self-checkout area .. inconveniently located to the Left of the employee checkout lanes where alcohol must be sold by state law. No cigarettes are sold here. No guns or ammunition are sold here. Tax services near the exit.

Mermaid Heartcake

Got the custom cake and cupcake from here. The cake is really cute. The cupcake decor probably could be a little better to match the advertise pics but overall are good. Kids love them.

To be honest, this location seems pretty ghetto compared to other ones I've been to. As long as I can find what I need, I'm good.

Been shopping this location for almost 20 years! Quality of the products goes up and down. Back in…read morethe day, like 10 years ago, they actually used to have a lot more designer shoe options. Like I'm talking really expensive designer at a fraction of the cost. I haven't seen designer shoes at this location for years now. It's unfortunate because that was one of my favorite aspects of shopping here. Now the only "designer" items, if you can call it that, they carry, are Kate Spade and Dooney and Bourke bags (which are hilariously kept locked in a glass case). I've seen the random higher end like Tiffany's keychain and Valentino sunglasses. But you're hard pressed to find any high-end designer items at this location. They do have a fabulous home section, though. Pillows and towels and decorative knickknacks at this location. And they actually do carry some great decorative furniture pieces too. I get some great deals on clothing for my six-year-old daughter. If she needs new clothes, this is my first stop before Target. I would say for the most part, the store is kept as organized as it can be considering how much product they have to put out in the space they have. The fitting rooms could be cleaner. There's always balls of dust on the floors in the fitting rooms. They could stand to run a vacuum through there every morning. I have always found the staff to be pleasant. The only annoying thing is when you are checking out they consistently ask if you want to get the Marshalls/TJ Maxx credit card. And they think they are enticing you with 10% off your purchase if you join. But if you actually do your homework, you'll see that the interest on their company's credit card is outrageous - making that 10% off irrelevant. Don't fall for it unless you plan on paying off your purchase immediately. Otherwise getting their credit card is kind of a trap.

They have a huge parking lot out front that is shared with other businesses in that strip mall. They also offer several handicap parking spots. Right when you walk in they had a clearance section where I found a Velvet Caviar phone accessories set for $16. That's quite a deal. Normally they are $99. I found a couple of cute St. Patrick's Day decorated plush cats. I got one for myself and one for my BFF. There selection of St. Patrick's Day, Valentine's Day and Easter decor and gifts is exceptional. They had a lovely selection of wrapping paper. I found a roll that had strawberries all over it. I had to get one of those. The checkout line was not bad. They had plenty of employees at the checkout which made the line move fast. Everything in the store is displayed so nice and is very organized. I definitely recommend shopping here.

We all know that their parking lot can be a nightmare, and that varies depending on the time of day. This parking lot is definitely no exception. In actuality, this is probably one of the worst parking lot experiences I've ever had. There's no rhyme a reason to it, it doesn't flow, and unfortunately, the people in the parking lot are pretty indicative of the people shopping in the warehouse. After finally being able to park, and then trying to hunt down a shopping cart, I was in the warehouse and finally shopping. I would consider Mountain View to be fairly civilized location. Boy do they have me fooled. Apparently, shopping carts are the new game of go karts. Everyone is fair game, it's acceptable to push someone or their shopping cart with your own, and run into people and keep going. I thought maybe that was my experience, but as I made my way through the warehouse, it was an everyone experience. I did enjoy the fact that I found some items at this location that I have never seen at the handful of other warehouses that I do shop at, so there is the positive in the story. The lines to check out are absolutely insane and people change lanes with the intent of trying to push someone else out of their way. It goes from being amusing to ridiculous. My plan was to go through self check out, but then one of the Costco employees started picking up all of the hand scanners, and saying that they would no longer be using them because of this particular warehouse, I guess people were not reading things incorrectly, and it wasn't being caught at the door Getting through one of the regular lines was less problematic than it appeared, and the line thankfully moved a lot faster, but not without incident. The people in front of me were literally throwing things onto the "belt", and when some of the jars collided and broke, that made for a lovely smelly mess. By the time I got to the cashier, he had a look of desperation in his eyes, and I promised him that checking me out would be as pain-free as possible. I was glad that I could bring some levity to the situation, and give him a feeling of relief. Definitely not my favorite Costco. Definitely not my favorite shopping experience. Definitely not really planning on going back.

I had walked over to the Sunnyvale Public Library with my son and stopped for a moment to wipe my brow when out of nowhere, one of the nose pads on my glasses completely broke off. These were an older pair of glasses I had recently rediscovered while cleaning, so I figured the parts had simply become worn down over time. At first, I thought I'd just grab a repair kit from Target after ChatGPT recommended their Up & Up eyeglass repair kit instead of going all the way to Walgreens. Unfortunately, the only kit I found didn't include the nose pad I needed. As I kept walking through the store hoping they might be stocked elsewhere, I stumbled upon the Target Optical department, complete with an eye doctor and full service optical counter. That's where I met Irish. Irish was absolutely wonderful. She patiently and diligently worked on my glasses, replaced BOTH nose pads, cleaned them thoroughly, tightened and tuned everything up, and honestly made this old pair feel practically brand new again. You know how over time those little parts get dirty, brittle, degraded, and loose? She took the time to carefully restore them instead of rushing me through. What really stood out was her attitude and customer service. She was warm, professional, patient, and genuinely helpful throughout the entire interaction. Irish gave us her full attention and made us feel completely taken care of. Excellent service experiences deserve recognition, and Irish absolutely earned this review. Thank you again for the exemplary customer care!

There's a super big parking structure with plenty of parking (on the Friday evening that we went). Super large and well stocked Target. The Valentine's Day section wasn't ransacked even though it was Valentine's Day itself. Bouquets were cheap and looked really nice too. There's lots of self check out and cashiers, as well as a Starbucks too, pretty standard for most Targets. I found the newly released Monster energy drinks that I have been searching for for months. Not super cheap, but decent price and I'm just happy I found them. They also have a dedicated Disney section which I have never seen outside of the locations near the parks in SoCal, which is really neat. Solid Target location.

Took advantage of free 18-hole mini golf being offered at the Park this past Saturday, courtesy of MV Chamber of Commerce. They had limited golf clubs, especially adult sized, and the holes were very basic, with cartoonish props not even attached to the greens. Needless to say, I moved some of them around to make it more challenging and creative. Got at least a few hole-in-ones (I better, with how easy these were). Not the most exciting activity on a sunny afternoon, but it was good for some amusement, with a DJ playing a combination of hip hop, rock, and country music through the speakers. Afterward, I did some grocery shopping at the Safeway in the plaza, which was well stocked with all my favorite goods. I also recently enjoyed a flick at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, a newer theater featuring dine-in service at your seat during films. The Village offers a decent range of eateries and businesses, a dog park and sculpture garden with various artworks, as well as tables & seating adding to an inviting atmosphere. Plus, porta potties on site for convenience. Among notable businesses, The Counter burgers, SAJJ falafel place, Nekter Juice Bar, Fidelity Investments, a mattress store, Jared jewelry store, and across the parking lot, Starbucks, Veggie Grill, The Pizza Studio, Paul Martin American Grill. I actively dislike the parking citation here, on the Safeway parking lot. It seems to have been poorly designed, packed with enough parking spaces to satisfy the building code requirements, and to sustain the entire development. The resulting layout is difficult to maneuver, or get in and out of a slot, when you find one. The internal roads are not wide enough, and entrances/exits are awkward. It's a hassle and for this reason I'm rating it with three stars.

As you can see, I'm learning what it's like to touch grass and re-integrate into human society. There's a good number of plushies, Jellycat and unique ones like a pink fairy armadillo mole one, tote bags and socks, nice range of jewelry, lots of California themed goods if you're looking for souvenirs that aren't mega generic, and they have a lot of other items as well. As with the quality and high regard some of these items have (Jellycats are NOT cheap), it can be a bit pricier, so make sure that you shop around and check prices elsewhere and that you actually truly care about the person you're getting stuff for and it's not a forced obligation one (family member you're ugh with or coworker Secret Santa that you barely know). Maybe a couple cute things I had my eye on, but it wasn't really for me (speaks volumes about me), but I can see how a store like this works in a pinch if you're gift shopping.
