I've never had any problems with this Walmart. The parking lot is huge. The people complaining about there being no parking are fatties who can't be bothered to walk. I've never had problems with getting help from employees. You can't expect people working at Walmart to be the happiest people on Earth. But I find, in general, if you treat people pleasantly they will treat you likewise. If you yourself are a dick to them, you should expect to be treated like one. I avoid Walmart as much as possible to prevent me from losing my soul too much. This place is packed and gross, all the time. From the moment you walk in, you smell the aroma of McDonald's mixed with discount t-shirts in WalMart. The selection of food is clearly geared toward low cost, unhealthy options. I know you have a target customer, but aisle after aisle of frozen dinners and soda is a bit much. The lines are always a mess, but I don't blame them with the sheer volume of customers that they have. The prices keep me coming back once a month, but I hate the trip every time. read more

On the one hand, this wal-mart is probably the most dirty, crowded, and unpleasant walmart I've ever been in. On the other hand, the reason it's crowded is that it's the only store in the area with reasonable prices. And, for how busy it is, I've rarely found items I need out of stock. I have trouble blaming Wal-Mart for the crowds, because I'm sure that it's bay area politics that prevent them from opening another store on the peninsula. Here's a tip: *Make SURE you go at off-peak hours.* Anytime that the rest of the population is at work will be fine. Otherwise, late at night or early in the morning. Do NOT go at noon on weekends, or 6pm on weekdays, or you might be in line for 30 minutes. Another tip: Try parking next to the home and garden section (where the plants and grills are), and using these registers to check out (even if nothing you buy is from the garden section, they don't mind). You can often check out w/out any wait, and avoid the traffic gridlock that occurs near the main entrance. Worse customer service. Returns take more than 30 minutes. Total chaos in the parking lots. You got to bring your "Fast and Furious" car skills to take a spot wicked fast. Yes, you heard it right. I mean it is just a parking spot, what is in the store that you must urgently buy? Waiting in line is a pain in the gluteus maximus. Employees are really slow and even in the Express Lanes. I spent 30-45 min playing Words with Friends. Ugh. There are a few things I buy here because it is cheaper than Target or CVS. Management needs to improve customer service and quality. read more

I don't come here with high expectations or to be treated like royalty because come on, it's Walmart. I used to come here a lot as a kid, and recently came back. I like this Walmart because it has everything I need, including live fish. They don't have many bettas (less than 10) and they're not in good shape, but remember, it's Walmart. This place can be pretty messy, and I think someone broke a jar of vinegar because a whole section smelled like it. A lot of stuff are opened and separated, like containers or jars. When my mother and I went to go find a lane to get our stuff checked out, this employee walking by decided to help us as she noticed our cart was full. I think her name was Merlene, but I'm not too sure. She was nice throughout the whole time even though we had so many items. I thought it was nice of her to go out of her way to get us checked out. You rarely see that around nowadays. Just remember you're going into Walmart, not Safeway so don't have your expectations up to the sky. I think they should stock up more on the pet section though. read more

If there was a choice for negative reviews I would have chosen it. Recently I called Walmart asking if they had an air purifier. The lady I was talking to immediately started saying rude things and cutting me off. She kept saying if I wanted to know the availability I had to use the app. I was trying to tell her the app didn't work but any time I tried to talk she kept saying "no no no I can't help you". Why can you not help me?!? I'm asking a very basic question and you work here. My personal favorite thing she said was, " the air purifiers are on the other side of the store". Seriously? I don't see what all the horrible reviews are for. I don't have an expectation for Walmart to be as pristine as a Macy's or Bloomingdales. Honestly, this Walmart was relatively clean and well-kept: the bathroom was clean, no paper on the ground. The clothing was well organized and nearly stacked/hung. This store is always packed and as a result it is thoroughly trashed. The parking lot is impossible. I tried to give Wal-Mart a fair chance a while back when I was in need of oil for my car, but that was the last visit I made. I can't deal with the zoo that is formally known as Wal-Mart. This goes to the TV Department My family came here to buy a flat screen TV because we were thinking that it might be cheaper here compare to Costco or Bestbuy. Maybe? We found the flat screen we wanted - 55 inches Samsung LCD, 60 hz. 1080 p. Pretty cool. we told the sales lady we wanted the TV. She checked and she said they didn't have a stock. So, we said we'll take the display. She said ok. She has to find the stand and the remote. TV- check. Remote- check. Stand ---five hours of wait time. we tried another TV. This is one of the worst Walmarts I've gone to. Sometimes if I wonder if coming here to save $ is worth the hassle. The avg shopping trip is 2-3x longer that any other store I frequent. The problem is they don't have hand baskets if you need a small amount of things. The aisles are super small and just jam-packed with carts. I usually get caught into gridlock on almost every aisle. The parking lot is also a disaster. People aways waiting for the perfect spot backing everyone up. If people would move out of the way or the lanes were bigger so you could go around that would help. Also there are so many cars in the lot with no one picking them up. Walmart needs to bring in a new manager to reform this store. The ability to speed shop and not get caught in a quagmire should be their top priority! read more

We waited for 20 min for someone to get us allergy medicine and everytime an employee would walk by and we would ask them to help us they would just tell us to wait even though we would ring the button no one would show up. It pains me to do this, but I have to increase my review by one star. I still hate Wal*Mart, always have and always will. However, my husband for some reason known only to him, likes to shop here. And it was here he dragged me again last weekend. First, I checked out the fish section. I didn't see any dead fish. This is an improvement, so I have to give them credit for doing what they should have done in the first place. But what actually swayed me to increase my rating by a star was the fact that I was able to pick up Danskin leotards and tights for my daughter's ballet lessons for dirt cheap. Now why does this Walmart suck and why is the rating so low, well here you go: - Parking Lot ( so crowded, can only drive one way, and only one way to exit and you have to loop around to get back out) - Entrance to the Store (somebody is always outside asking for me money sometimes 1 or more charities, they get really annoying and give you a dirty look if you don't give them anything) - Return Area (never have enough people working there and line is almost out the door every time) - Cashiers (I mean I can understand slow, but almost 70% of the cashiers are old and they really take forever, the last 3 times I have been there I can put them in the Guinness Book of Records for the slowest time to scan and bag the simplest items) - Foods Area (By far the worst walmart foods area, the aisles are so small that the carts hardly fit in there and when u open the freezer door, well good luck!) read more

Oh god. Oh god oh god oh god oh god. When I was teaching in China, Walmart to us expats was like a shining beacon of Western Civilization (yes, it was still completely evil). Lots of warm memories of finding Chinese-y western foods like tuna and corn pizza, as well as taking special trips to get unheard of western inventions, like tampons, that were only stocked at Walmart. Anyway, in America, home of the Walmart, everyone who shops there looks poor no matter what. Despite being in Silicon Valley, despite being right next to yuppie stores like Trader Joe's and Whole Foods and (even) Target. I look poor, you look poor, the cashiers look poor, everyone looks poor. I'm not trying to be biased-- it's true. Also, even though this store is big enough to encompass several Alaskan villages, it comes with a guarantee to be completely out of stock of whatever you were trying to find. Try it. One time, I went with the intention of buying a Swiffer, champagne glasses, and a pack of tealights. All completely normal, everyday, totally unrelated items... and ALL completely out of stock. WTF. They also have one doddering, elderly, underpaid employee for every 500 customers in the store. As with all Walmarts, the clothes there are guaranteed to be ill-fitting and make you look fat. No matter if it looks cute on the rack and totally in your size, it. will. make. you. look. ugly. No matter what. Finally (this isn't totally Walmart's fault), the parking lot is a nightmare. It is always filled with cars and people and people walking in front of cars. I've sworn off Walmart dozens of times, but I don't know why I keep going back. It's for those times when you've checked all the other places and they don't have it, and you think, "Lemme try Walmart... they're huge and should have everything..." and you drive there and find parking and go in and surprise surprise they're totally out of whatever you're looking for. Ok, first of all, it should be noted that I am NOT a Wal-mart hater. There are so many Wal-mart haters out there (not even for bad reasons) but I am not one of them. With that said, this is the absolute worst Wal-mart I've ever been to, and unfortunately, have to continue going to now that I live in MV. I also understand that this Wal-mart was recently renovated which will affect most businesses that are super busy. The service is hilariously bad. I've been to this Wal-mart 10 times or so since I moved to MV, and I have witnessed straight up disputes between the employees, the employees and customers, or just customers with other customers. They just lack professionalism and a clear sense of how a Wal-mart should be run. Howeve, the service is not the only reason why it's the worst Wal-mart I've ever been to. Everything is out of stock, not organized, and the store layout is not intuitive. The money services area is a clusterf*** of returns, and I've witnessed so many examples of straight up bad customer service. Wal-mart is the type of place that gets a bad rap for the people who shop there, which is sort of unfair, but the people who shop at this Wal-mart always seem to be in the worst mood ever. Checkout is a nightmare; made the mistake of choosing Raymond's line. Turns out Raymond is the "customer service manager". He should NOT be let near a register. VERY slow. Had to go back in for more stuff, and chose Anton's "speedy" checkout. He left the register to go with a customer back into the store for something, and it was at least 5 minutes before the two of them got back, plus another 10 minutes before the lady he was helping completed her transaction. I usually love to shop at Walmart. They have a great selection of products at great prices. I order from Walmart online quite often as well. The 5 star is for the company, not this store. This store is poorly run. The shopping experience was very poor. I'm giving this store a one and a half star. The 1.5 star is for the people working there being friendly and helpful. But the store is not well organized. Items are hard to find, the aisles are narrower than I remember (subjective, to be fair). I left my cart in a low traffic place to pick up a bottle of bleach from the other end of the aisle. When I returned (what would be less than a minute later), the cart was gone. No where to be found, with my items gone also. Come on people, have some common curtesy to your fellow shoppers. All in all, not a good experience at this store. read more

I visited couple of times recently. I found this Walmart more managed and cleaner. Walmart is always known for its cheap price products, so is this one. Cashiers are very helpful and guides whenever needed. Staff here helps you in finding products you are looking for. Bike section of this Walmart is cool, so I could not resist myself in buying a bike and its accessories. Whenever I visit this store I take my meal in McDonald. I don't wana cook as I feel tired after shopping. For me its a complete store where I find everything I need at lowest pprices ever! read more

Don´t come to the store at this location expecting their workers to be helpful at the electronics department. One time I wanted to pay for an item and one of the clerks there told me she simply could not help me and then proceeded to very calmly continue chit-chatting with one of her colleagues instead of trying to find somebody that could help me. Many beauty products that I can't find at other stores I always find in stock here, which is the reason for the few visits that I've made to this place. What gets 1 star is the service and employees. Every time I go in here, it seems no one knows what they are doing or where anything is. Very unhelpful. The place is usually a mess as well, making it even harder to find anything. One time that I had to pick up a TV I ordered online, it took them nearly 2 hours to find my order! It showed as delivered on their system but three employees couldn't find it in their warehouse. God, is this place a mess or what? I really don't care about all the stigmas associated with Wal Mart before you even step into a store. I mean yeah, their workers are probably low paid and they do some sleazy things, but if they have what I'm looking for I'm going to probably go there. That's the big problem here. The whole place is like a circus. As soon as you enter, you get the feeling that you have entered some nuclear holocaust fallout shelter or something. Things aren't very organized at all, especially in the electronics department. It'll take you AT LEAST 4 people before someone actually recognizes what you're asking about and takes some time to help you. I was very fortunate to discover Walmart Vision Center of Mountain View, CA. Dr. Lai, Martha, Jenn, Helen, and were very professional, courteous and thoughtful. The customer service was excellent. I can be a difficult customer to please sometimes, but they never blinked an eye and continued to be kind to me. I bought a high-end pair of glasses and was so pleased with the result I ordered a 2nd pair of work glasses. I had been using another vision center for the last several years but wanted to save money without losing quality and Walmart Vision Center saved me at least $500 between the two pair of glasses. The selection of frames was good also. I am going to continue to be customer with this vision center. read more
