Paid $100 for car battery, after year it doesn't hold charge, I HAVE to jump started 3 times and charged over night once still the same. Battery have 2 years replacement free, they tested and insisted the battery is still good. They kept overnight, few days later, car won't start, they tested it again said it's still good battery. NEVER EVER BUY WALMART "EVER START PLUS " BATTERY. Even it says 2 years replacement free, IT'S A LIE. Never again, THEY DON'T STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT. $100 for one year USED. read more

The fitting room doesn't open until 10:00am. The last place I want to be on a Saturday morning is Walmart at 10am. I was in the Happy Valley Walmart at 7:30 am and had a few items to try on. This was not allowed in the fitting rooms. I spoke to the manager who said it was out of her hands. I informed her that I would be writing a review about this and she encouraged me to do. I had the option of trying the clothes on over my clothes in front of a mirror by the jewelry/intimates sections or go home and try them on (hope they fit or bring back if don't; WHO WANTS TO STAND IN A WALMART RETURN LINE WHEN THERE'S A FITTING ROOM TO USE???). Really? I did not want to stand in the open to try on clothes so I just got the two I knew would do, the rest I left at the fitting room. While there a man and his child needed to try on clothes and were also told no. Those clothes were left at the fitting rooms unpurchased. Low prices. Things are always in stock. They don't treat you any different if you are low income or a college student scraping by. The cashiers usually try to relate to you and despite its location in SE portland it is a nice store. read more

They were busy talking; when done they just walked away and left me standing there. I called their customer service office and related the experience. Their reply: "What can I do for you?" I shop Walmart because they are usually cheaper than other stores and I like saving money. That said, I don't like this Walmart. They don't have a great selection of inventory, the shelves are a mess, and is usually very difficult to get any assistance. Super frustrating! Ordered an item online and was told item would be in Dec 23 (in time for Xmas) and then got a notice it wouldn't be available till Dec 24th, and so came in and the online pick up was closed. I asked for a manager and they said there was nothing they could do I would have to come back after Christmas when it was open again. I said I didn't live here and the clerk said "well you can always cancel your order". Um-okay...way to offer great customer service. (Not!) This store is beyond the pale when it comes to unclean and almost inhospitable environments. The floors are dirty and the shelves are filled with half eaten food and drink containers from shoplifters. Above all is the worst checkout possible. This Walmart is the lesser of two evils in the Portland area. The only reason being, is it's usually much less crowded than the Eastport Walmart. The only downside is a much smaller grocery selection. read more

Well I went for the pharmacy, but grabbed a drink on the way out in self check out. The pharmacy was great. They were pleasant and went as fast as they could. The special breed of man in the self check out was another story. He lacked people skills and to be honest he annoyed me greatly. Personal space Walmart employees, personal space. It's Walmart, I get it's not Target, but I expect a certain level of human courtesy. The only reason I say 3, not 1 is because the pharmacy went well. read more

Bought a microwave here, took it home and opened it. The box had obviously been dropped hard - the microwave's casing was warped and the glass tray shattered. Took it back for a refund and had to wait 10 minutes in line before dealing with an apathetic teenager in need of a bath. Do not go here if it can be helped! I waited in line to return something and it was taking forever! I saw the manager walking by and asked if he could put another person in returns. His response was that "no one else was trained on returns and someone would be in at 6 p.m. 25 minutes away!" I asked him to help out and he said that he couldn't leave the floor. I'd give 0 stars if I could. I've never liked Walmart and the experience at this location today was horrific. We'll skip over the customer service, or more appropriately the lack there of, no one goes to ANY Walmart expecting customer service, and like everyone else, I went today because I was looking for something specific and wanted it cheap. After waiting for over 20 mins for the second sales associate to locate a key to unlock the case my item was in she tells me the lock is broken and has been for a long time and the management refuses to replace it. Finally the item was able to be retrieved through the glass case next to it. However I wasn't allowed to carry the item up front myself though it was huge and no way someone was going to run out of the store with it. After paying and trying to leave the store the item set off the door sensors because the woman at the check out didn't remove the sensor. So now I'm going to Fred Myers and will be returning the item to Walmart since I don't even want this corporate focused corporation to have any of my money. read more

I used to be a huge Walmart fan but over the years I feel like they have all gone downhill. I came into this location to grab a few things one of which being a star wars space ship from the toy department. We got to the cashier where my four year old son repeated him self 4-5 times saying hi! None of which the cashier even acknowledged. That pissed me off! We are trying to create a world of polite people but being in a store where I should expect the employees to actually care about their customers and acknowledge them they don't. She proceeded to ring up this spaceship that my son chose as part of his birthday present, we had bought 3 others earlier in the week and it rings up and says they can't sell it.. I speak with a front end manager where she says we can't sell this to you. And I said seriously? I have bought a fee of them just this week. I said if you can't sell them then you need to go take down the whole display that is back there, she said I understand your concern. Really? If you did you would go take them down. Then I said well I guess I will continue my shopping at target since I bought one earlier in the day there just fine. She said if that is what you choose. Really?! You do NOTHING to keep your customers?! Insane! Then to add to all of that, last week I bought a transformer for my son for his bday. Get it home, he opens it and at that point we notice it had previously been opened then taped back shut. Took it out and it was broken! What the hell is the problem with walmart?! I have bought a few things where I get it home and it has been used or broken and returned! Completely insane! If you get something returned don't freaking set it back on the shelf! Especially when it's a dirty coffee pot, or a broken toy that a child is excited about getting for their birthday! So sick of the lack of service that Walmart gives. Me shopping there pays for peoples wages and I expect that me making purchases at your business I be treated at least like a valuable customer! read more

Would give Walmart a zero if I could. They're customer service sucks! I called looking for an item and stayed on hold for 10 min before I decided to hang up. So I called back to speak to a manager and the clerk asked why. If your not the manager then just transfer me, I don't feel like explaining things twice. She them transfers to to the so called manager which takes additional 6 mins on hold to get. This is ridiculous! Shouldn't have to be on hold that long for a manager let alone 16 min total to roll to someone, probably longer If I hadn't hung up after 10min of waiting! read more

Love this Walmart, compared to any of their other locations. You can even go on a Saturday and not too crowded. Helpful staff too. The fun part is....the customers are half-way normal. read more
