Last night (June 8, 2026) I had the BEST customer service experience. I needed to print a document and The store manager John and cashier Zen went over and I beyond to help me! It's been a very long time since I have had great customer service and these 2 young men exemplified the true definition of this! I have a prescription for an inhaler that I need daily and that is not usually in stock in Portland Walgreens stores (unlike CA where I used to live). This is the only Walgreens in Portland that ordered and got my meds a day or two after I put my order in. Other stores - a week or more or never. Inexplicably one Walgreens store said it had to be ordered and then didn't order it and didn't tell me it wasn't ordered!! So this is my only business with this Walgreens so far, but I was impressed. read more

Worst Pharmacy around please do not send your prescriptions here. I was told to come back after 20 min. Because they were short staffed. This was ordered a day prior and I get here at 4:20pm and waited in line after the 20min wait. It's now 5pm and I told the car in front of me to press the call button Becuase they aren't being helped. read more

I wish there was an option for zero stars. Went to pick up my 3 month supply of my prescription. Was the only car at the window and waited over 10 min before even being told they would be right there. Got the Rx, and got home to see that it was only a 1 month supply with no more refills. Called to sort it out. Recording said please hold they were assisting others and there were 2 callers ahead of me in queue. Recording kept coming on saying to continue to hold. After being on hold 30 minutes I decided I would just turn it to speaker phone while doing other things out of principle to see how long it would keep me on hold. I sat on hold listening to that hold music for OVER 2 hours before hanging up without being helped. And yes, it was during their business hours. Walgreens, you need to do better! read more

Clean store with well lit, spacious aisles. Convenient drive thru that's not just for prescription pick up. Recently I was in the area for an appointment and wanted to print some photos. I uploaded the pics using the Walgreens app, and applied the 50% off coupon (always available.) Ten minutes later I went through the drive thru, picked them up, and was on my way without having to get out of the car. They have 2 EV charging stations in the parking lot and a redbox movie and game kiosk out front. People still use these? Seems like all Walgreens and Riteaids get slammed for their pharmacy experiences. I've never had an issue but this review is for the store only. read more

Totally agree with the poor services at this pharmacy. Horrible! They have a whole new take on medication delivery services which they need to rethink. Just got off the phone with a pharmacy intern who first said she was a pharmacist on the phone and when I questioned that, she corrected herself and said she was an intern. My medication was eligible for free delivery which I was stupid enough to believe and try. Apparently walgreen uses Uber/door dash to deliver your meds and after you click it charges you $4 for delivery. When you opt for this, if the driver cancels, you are out of luck for the delivery charge you were suckered into paying. That's exactly what happened and received a text out of the blue saying the delivery was cancelled and to call Walgreens. Calling Walgreens doesn't help as they won't be able to refund your delivery charge nor are they willing to contact the delivery service to try and have them redeliver your medicine. So it just sits there and you hope door dash or Uber or whoever will pick it up? Don't count on it. The intern told me to call uber to get ask them to pick ip my medication as they are hands off once the delivery is sold to them. She couldn't give me a phone # to call and told me to just find the phone number by Googling for Uber. It was my cancer drug. How horrible is that and how stupid I was to trust this pharmacy. It is WTF moment. Ironically I am pharmacist that does health plan consulting and have an upcoming presentation with some regional health plans. Im sure I can work this in as a real life example of issues and challenges in the retail setting and why patients have problems accessing their medications. While everyone's looking for unique ways to make life easier with home delivery, the ideas and services get way out of hand. This is a doozy of a real world example that I can use for my next talk. This one is just too unbelievable to pass up. BTW... kudos to VISA who immediately issued the $3.99 credit for the delivery service not provided. I know it sounds silly, but it became more a fight on principle and appreciated visa's immediate response with no hassle. read more

We will no longer be using this pharmacy or any Walgreens ever again for that matter. Called today and told the late afternoon pharmacist that I wanted to fill a prescription that had been transferred to a different state (because my Dad was dying) and they (in the other state) were unable to fill. She told me if the prescription wasn't covered by insurance she was NOT going to fill it. I asked her why not? She said because I wasn't going to pay for it!!!???!!!!!!! I NEVER said that and it was a very weird presumption on her part. I said "I sure as hell am going to pay for it because I need it." She then told me I was cussing at her because I said "sure as HELL." I told her the use of the word hell was not directed at her and that it reflected how emphatic I was about getting (and paying for) my medicine. She talked over me and told me my prescription had been cancelled and that I would need to call my doctor again to have it reissued and then she hung up on me, mid sentence. Her attitude, tone and presumptions were completely unprofessional . Management should fire her, give her a vacation and/or insist on counseling therapy, because treating customers like this is just plain wrong! Follow up note: At my request, CVS called Walgreens in the other state and transferred the prescription today. Apparently, the so called "cancellation" that was reported to me... did not exist. read more

This is definitely the worst pharmacy in the Happy Valley area. I'm not sure if they're understaffed or just overloaded with prescriptions but whatever it is it's been like this for a long time. I signed up for automatic refills and every single time I have to call and ask for the status because it takes a week for the refills to be filled and I ALWAYS run out of my medication before they're refilled. This is a terrible way to run a pharmacy and Walgreens needs to step in and do something, anything to fix these issues. read more

The horrible reviews make complete sense, and I wish I would've read them before I went here. My doctor called in a prescription to this location. Walgreen's sent me an email confirmation that the prescription had been filled and was ready for pick up. I went to Walgreen's to pick it up, and they said they had no record of the prescription ever being called in. I showed them THEIR OWN EMAIL CONFIRMATION that this location had filled it and it was ready, and all I got were blank stares. I asked them to explain how it was possible that they had no record of the prescription when I had received confirmation that it was filled...and again...blank stares. Did not care...no explanation...entirely my problem. They told me I could call corporate if I wanted answers. Never again. read more

If I could give this Pharmacy 0 stars - I would. Horrible customer service, prescriptions are never ready when they say they are, you have to go in to be told that it isn't ready and can you wait in the express care area with all the sick people, the line is consistently across the store, the staff is rude, there's no care in anything they do. Spoke with a manager after being on the phone for 2 hours and being hung up on before I even got to try to cancel my order - he didn't even address anything in my complaint...just told me that my prescription was ready after I had to call corporate and tell them they were holding my prescription hostage and wanted to cancel it. They hold your medications hostage and make it impossible to cancel your prescription so you can go somewhere else. I've tried to have some sympathy, but this has been consistent for the last 6 years of me trying to fill with them. Any other pharmacy I go to, I never have this problem. They also love to "temporarily" close the pharmacy 4-6 hours early with 0 notice to the customer except a piece of paper on the door as you walk in. I've traveled almost every day for 5 days this last week to try and get my prescription and have come home empty handed every time. read more

I've had SO MANY issues with this pharmacy it's unreal. They close early when they feel like it - totally unexpectedly. I've needed urgent medication and drove 40 mins because I wasn't close to home for this med for my child and I walk in like 3 mins before the pharmacy closed and I RUN to the back where the pharmacy is and the pharmacist was literally walking away and had everything LOCKED UP! I was livid !!! so I transferred the prescription to a 24 he one 40 mins from where I just CAME FROM- in rush hour traffic. needless to say- Don't go here if u can !!! read more

Website said they do passport photos and when Googled this Walgreens was top of the list. Arrived store not busy was told that they could not do passport photos today because they were busy. I have had my doctor's office reissue the prescription to a competing pharmacy and changed pharmacy listing with my insurer. I have no idea how people like this can stay in business. Do not use this pharmacy...ever. I have always had issues with getting prescriptions filled on time. Recently I spent 20 mins (with one car in front of me) in the drive through, only for the male employee to tell me they still hadn't filled a prescription from over a week ago. He told me the earliest he could fill it was Monday (this was Saturday and I was going out of town on Sunday). When I told him he had to get it done, he kept repeating that he had 400 other prescriptions. He was rude and nasty the whole time, and I've never experienced anyone treat someone that way for trying to get a simple prescription filled. Eventually he told me to come back in 1.5 hours. When I went back I went inside. My prescription was ready, but he wasn't working, instead he was gossiping with another employee who was off shift. I waited in line another 15 mins to get my prescription and not once during that time did he do any work. He had his name tag turned around so I don't know his name. Needless to say, I've transferred pharmacies. On a brighter note, the pharmacist with the rainbow mask and pigtails is always wonderful! read more

This is by far the worst Walgreens location I have ever gone to and it sucks because it is the only one in the area. They try to blame Covid and staffing issues for their slowness but trust when I say I have been coming here far before that and the story never changes. The staff that they have move slower than any humans I have ever met before. It is not just the pharmacy, it is the front as well. It takes so long to pick up just a few things. I have now been 2 days without a daily medication which prevents seizure symptoms on one of the most important days of my life. I have never been treated more poorly, with such an attitude, or embarrassment by treating me like I am some drug addict and questioning my own Dr. prescribed medication that I have now been on for years. ( Right in front of my Boyfriend) I had to have my Dr. call to verify they were actually to be filled 3 days ago as the script was written, yet I waited until I needed them ( Big mistake). They lied claiming my Dr. hadn't called until an hour and a half AFTER my Dr.'s office had been closed. And I still do NOT have my medications (The following day). I have never had an issue before, I have certainly never been treated or spoken to like this. The female pharmacist who was on the clock at 4:30 pm on the 21st. of Nov. And the woman with the braided cornrowed hair who slammed the phone down on me and then ignored me at the window while there was a line of 4 cars behind me.... Were the rudest "health care professions" I have ever come in contact with. I have been a regular customer of Walgreens for 15+ years, and I will never spend another dollar there. Terrible pharmacy! My partner and I had vaccination appointments at this location yesterday. We got confirmation and reminder emails about them. When we showed up to the appointment, the pharmacy was closed. When we asked about our appointments, they just repeated that the pharmacy was closed with no explanation. We didn't get any notification that our appointment was canceled. They just let us show up! Don't waste your time with this location. read more

The HappyValley Walgreens is in super convenient location. However, the pharmacy staff are beyond horrible. In addition, plan on waiting at least 30 minutes to get your prescription. They are not in a hurry at all and seem to be doing anything else other than helping customers. I have been there several times right when they open and they are consistently 10 minutes late opening the gates or window. read more

I was just looking at this review I made a few years ago. What a stressful year this was for our family. My mom passed away 7 months after this initial review. I failed to mention that the incident with my daughter was when she was a 16 year old patient and the medication was simply an antibiotic. I understand HIPAA rules fairly well and had already talked to them once to see if it was ready to be picked up. It's okay to discuss picking up meds with someone who is the caregiver, like a parent. read more

Worst experience - They dont publish the bad review on their wensite, okay, here you go Your business is a JOKE, absolutely a JOKE. I ordered Burberry parfum online, went to the location to pick up a bit early. I asked staffs over there to help me, all i got is "we dont see your order" even though I gave them the confirmation email. Also, the staff lady told me they dont have the kind I ordered here. So that means, Walgreen website is NOT updated. Fine, i bought another one because i need it for the birthday party. Came home, got another email for the online order said " your order is delayed". Lying game started. Then later one, I got another email saying "you have cancelled your order". Excuse me, what? You delayed my order, then your lying system found out you guys did not have the item and cancelled my order by itself and blamed me it was me cancelled it. I contacted support, a guy called me, he did confirm that he did not find anywhere that i cancelled my order and it was system error. That all, so much frustration and very bad bad experience with Walgreens.
