The cashier guy just shrugged, the pharmacist wouldn't even talk to me when I specifically asked for clarification. Yes, they fucked up and literally did not care to even look at the problem. Shouldn't be a 30 minute wait going through Drive Thru, they desperately need more employees in the pharmacy.

I asked if they knew any resources that could help him get an affordable new walker, the incredibly kind and caring woman went in the back and found a used walker that was in way better shape and gifted it to my vulnerable friend. It brought me to tears and has made a world of difference for my neighbor. He lives alone and is in his 80s. The nearby Fred Meyer Pharmacy is the opposite: indifferent staff, long waits, a chaotic environment, nowhere to sit. Pharmacists Aimee and Marshall take the time to explain or demonstrate how to use a medication. This pharmacy has also been a well kept secret for vaccines: RSV, Covid, Pneumonia, Flu, and others. There's plenty of parking, and the lot was easy to access. Upon entering, I was absolutely aghast at the lack of produce! I was raised on the rule that if you want to be healthy, you stick to the outside of the store aisles, and this is the smallest produce section I've ever seen in my life so knowing this is the neighborhood store is really a sad indicator of probably the overall health in the area. I had been hoping to knock out my weekly grocery shopping here, but immediately looking over the produce, and only having discarded tomatillos, remaining and bruised jalapeños. There was no way my list was gonna get checked off. I headed straight and search of my gluten-free items and was very pleased to find they actually have it in one little section with a sign that says gluten-free so you don't have to run around the entire store looking for those items. It's not a huge section so it's a time to just go right to that spot. 99% of the store is packaged and processed. I grabbed what I needed, I have a person vendetta against all self check out and headed to the one lane open with a checker who had no idea how to use her register, and even though she bagged the groceries for the person before me, she did not bag mine and seemed very confused by the fact that I had even brought my own. The whole checkout was just awkward, and I felt very out of place for some reasons. I was never greeted, I was never offered assistance. Just an odd vibe overall.
