Staff shortages have made it tough but the Pharmacists are fantastic at this store. Wait times are wicked but without appropriate staffing this is to be expected. Would be helpful and more expeditious to get additional workers, they need support to move people through faster and properly. Drive Thru is amazingly convenient BUT the staff is being overwhelmed since there's not enough counter people. Dedicating a person to Drive Thru during peak hours would help, in and out in just a few minutes makes the store profit and customers happier. Shouldn't be a 30 minute wait going through Drive Thru, they desperately need more employees in the pharmacy. read more

Literally the worst pharmacy . No customer service, don't answer the phone, take forever to do their job. Every time my prescription gets sent here they take an entire day to fill it, have you wait in line for insanely long amounts of time just to be turned away because it's still not ready by the time it was promised. They don't even start working on ur prescription until you arrive. They don't care, they are slow , constantly making mistakes and holding everyone up for hours. Do not go here for anything you will be sick and miserable in line and have to take multiple trips to finally get your medicine . read more

I don't know where to even start. Today I went to pick up a prescription and when I went, the drive-through wasn't working (it's been at least 2 months!). When I got there they were all in a lunch break, closed from 1:20-2:00. So I hobbled in (three weeks post op appt for a back fusion). People were waiting in line with no chairs. I stood for 15 minutes until I couldn't stand and a nice customer found a chair for me. I also brought in a Rx from my orthopedist. It was my turn at 2:15. I said I'd wait for the Rx. After waiting 30 minutes they said they couldn't fill it until they talked to the doctor, that it was a few days early. (The doctor had changed the dose and he said it would be fine to fill early because of the change in dose.) I asked the pharmacy staff person to call my physician for whatever confirmation they needed. She said no, that I had to call my M.D. and ask them to call Rite Aid. I had little choice but to I call my doctor, which I did, and had to leave a voicemail. My M.D. called me back in 45 minutes saying they had been on hold with RiteAid for 30 minutes and they couldn't wait any longer. I called RiteAid (after waiting ANOTHER 15 minutes) and relayed that my M.D. couldn't wait any longer on hold. The pharmacist said they had to get a call--that they wouldn't call the Dr office. I can't believe a pharmacy or any business can remain in business with this type of service. What is a patient supposed to do? Neither the pharmacy nor the doctors' office want to wait on hold, and of course, neither to the patients. I left my house this morning at 9:30am and after the doctor appt and the pharmacy, I got home at 4:15pm with no medication. All I got was frustration and I don't have the energy to get up and do it again tomorrow. At this point my frustration has much less to do with the Rx but rather the way I was treated and lack of any kind of empathy or service. I might add that there was virtually no one in the store shopping, just the 5-7 of us waiting. I cannot imagine they will stay in business. read more

This place is the absolute worst. Been here twice trying to pick up meds for my son. They said two hours the first time so waited then I came down still not ready. Try to call the don't answer the phone. They say the are extremely busy that's because they closed the drive through. I've never been in a business that doesn't want mine. They don't care about the customers. I've had 13 strokes and can't wait in line. They close the drive thru and make me go inside and wait in a line that's all the way across the building. They admit that they won't answer the phone. It's an hour just to get through to request a refill. I still use the pharmacy because it's 2 miles from my house, but I won't buy from them. read more

Been to this location many times. Never had a problem. Yesterday something happened I thought should be brought to the attention of consumers. I was searching for a pharmacy that had Covid-19 home test kits. Turns out most in my area were out of them because of the rise in Delta infections. The usual price for these kits is between $20 and $25. I called Rite Aid and was told they had the kits in stock. Drove over there and sure enough, the kits were on display at the the pharmacy counter. However, the price had been changed from the normal $23.99 to $99.99. The previous price tag was clearly visible on the right side of the display, but the price on the left side of the display had been covered with a new tagged price of $99.99. Same kit, raised $80. I can only assume this was because Rite Aid was aware that everyone else was sold out. This should be price gouging, but in Oregon we do not have a law covering this. I know because I called the Oregon Attorney General's office. I will NEVER shop in this store again. read more

Horrible pharmacy. I've had to wait DAYS for them to refill my prescriptions - even when my Dr. communicated that it needed filling that day. They won't answer the phone, so I always have to drive there twice. Once to tell them I need it filled that day, and then another time to pick up. The text system is not accurate. I have gotten texts telling me my prescription is ready for pick-up, only to get there and be told it's not. Pharmacist approval takes FOREVER. I waited for 10 min at the cash register for the pharmacist to approve the fact that I had no questions about medication I have been on for years. I almost cancelled my transaction and paid with cash so I could leave. All three registers were waiting for this approval and the line quickly wrapped down the aisles. Waste of time. I will be switching ASAP. read more

Oregon City Rite Aid pharmacy rarely answers the phone. They don't even answer my doctors calls. They have has issues filling multiple medications for me recently. It took me a week to get my heart medication. When I can get through to them half the time they are rude. It's really not good not being able to call your own pharmacy and it has stated effecting my health negatively not being able to get my medications. I have gone to the same pharmacy for 41 years and I'm sad that I'm going to have to change pharmacies. read more

Not my usual pharmacy but my doctor sent two prescriptions here because they were open in a holiday and wanted me in them ASAP. They might as well not have been open. I showed up a little before closing to give them time to fill it. They were extremely rude and at first lied about "just" getting the prescription, until I pointed it out that my doctor had confirmed it was sent hours before. Then pharmacist said they didn't have one of the medications anyway, so i asked if i could just at least get they one they did have. She responded by saying it was a holiday and they were only taking walk-in clients. I couldn't have waited in-pharmacy because I have very anxious toddler. Long story short, had she of just been kind I wouldn't have been compelled to write a review. I can understand folks get busy, but this was beyond that. Will not return here. read more

If you receive any type of pain medications at the McLoughlin Blvd - Oregoncity location expect to have your private file snooped, you will be judged, mistreated and then labeled a "druggy" and treated like complete sh%^# every visit. It's none of anyones business what kind of medications you take. (HIPAA) Although many cases of healthcare snooping are attributable to curiosity rather than malicious intent, all cases of healthcare snooping are HIPAA violations. But this store in Oregoncity the pharmacists/employees make it their business. They will embarrass you by talking loudly and if they can present you with Narcan/(overdose rescue medication) in front of other customers which should be done in a private room especially if there's a line and the pharmacist decides to write you a special prescription not your PCP, for narcan out of the blue without even talking to you first. And then present it in a manner to make you look like a "druggy" in front of a line of people. Then on top of this make you wait much longer then "the expected wait time " for your pain medications. And then they make sure your medication bottle is littered with opioid stickers so when it's sitting on the counter other people can see it while they ring you up. It's a very belittling degrading experience. But just so you know, Pain medication patients have a right to obtain their legitimate opioid prescriptions without being discriminated against, harassed, denied, or embarrassed. Check with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the anti-discrimination provisions of the Affordable Care Act. This Unfortunately has become a problem with the employees in the pharmacy at this location. There is just absolutely NO excuse for NOT treating your customers equally and respectfully regardless what prescriptions they are being prescribed. And if you've been treated the way I have I urge you to file a complaint. read more

If I could give this Rite Aid zero stars I would. I've been using them for four months, and they've messed up my actual prescriptions four times. But even before that, the first red flag was they put all my prescriptions in easy open containers (I have a toddler). It happened three times. Each time I told them they needed to put in my profile that I could not have easy open bottles. It took three times before they actually switched it successfully. Then their drive through was closed for almost two months with no warning on their website. They kept saying it would be fixed when I called - it never was. The most scary though - three times they actually got the prescription incorrect, which is obviously not safe. My doctor even sent me printed copies of what was sent to the Rite Aid - the actual submission form. It was Rite Aid's mess up. Finally, I would call in prescriptions, go in at the correct time, and they would never be ready. I learned to give them an extra 24-48 hours, and even then they often wouldn't be ready, or they would have some of them and be missing others. There's a different major drugstore with a drive through in Gladstone, about 3 minutes away from this one. They have their own issues, but nothing like what I've dealt with with this truly horrendous pharmacy. read more

I was in the OC Rite aid today. I have been sick with a sinus infection, and my husband had to get some Amazon that was in the locker. I had three items and there was only one cashier. I told my husband to go the car and I'll be right there. Joke was on me. There was a customer in front of me and another checking out. The one checking out and the cashier apparently had no care about other people's time, because they were having a great time chit chatting it up. Then the customer in front of me had just a few items and I'm hopeful that this will be a breeze. Nope. They decided it was a great time to join their club. At this point I can feel myself breaking out in a sweat because I feel like trash and my three little items haven't been rung up. I'm at the counter, waiting, sick as a dog. My husband comes into the store and I bring up my hands like," I don't know!" The cashier must had saw me and then rudely rang up my three items that didn't even come to 20 bucks. With each item she slammed it on the counter. We walk out and I asked my husband, " was she rude or was it just me?" He said she was rude. So I won't be going to rite aid any time soon. read more

I just switched my prescriptions to Rite-Aide and regret it already. They never answer the phone. They are slow filling your prescriptions and I'm talking days! When I did get ahold of someone and asked why they weren't filled yet, the gal responded "because there not". I kid you not! Then she pretended to drop the phone and acted like she couldn't hear me and hung up. I called back and of course, no answer. As soon as these are filled, I'm switching back to my old pharmacy. Right off the freeway, its an easy location to get to. The drive-thru pharmacy is great for those times I don't want to drag the little wild ones out of the car and stand in line next to someone whose cough can't be suppressed. The employees are always polite and helpful. The checkout counters are staggered in the strangest diagonal line. It makes for an awkward waiting line that just leaves you wondering who was ahead of you. read more
