Hero to zero in 1 visit flat. I have been going here almost since opening day because around that same time Walgreens lost my business forever for seriously violating my privacy and embarrassing me in front of other customers - but that is another story; just relevant to the fact that I started going further out of my way in search of a more competent pharmacy, and, at first, this Walmart was great. The staff was caring, quick, and competent. The technicians even began to remember me despite my infrequent visits, and for a big box pharmacy I thought that was quite impressive. They came close to an actual independent neighborhood pharmacy in that regard. Too bad these places have largely driven them out of business, but, I digress. Anyway, I went to pick up some over the counter supplies and was told by the ignorant technician that these particular supplies were recently made prescription only, staring intently at her monitor as if confirming this to be the case. I asked when that happened, it was news to me, and she said oh, like earlier this year. Yes, I am really sorry, I would love to help you but I just can't without a prescription. Now, at this time, there was no hope of reaching my doctor, given the hour, so I was just out of luck. The most egregious part was that the pharmacist was standing right there in full earshot of the entire conversation and did nothing to correct her staff member. I confirmed the next day with the state pharmacy regulatory agency that they were full of [cant put what I really want to say, but it involves the end result of certain livestock outputting the previous day's intake] and I knew it; but arguing the point with stupid wasn't going to get me anywhere, so I left empty handed. Now, normally, I have a three strikes rule because everyone has an off day from time to time, but when serious negligence or incompetence causes me serious inconvenience (just imagine if this was a life threatening condition/situation....I mean, it wasn't at the time but still) - especially from so-called professionals who should know better - then it's just game over. This place has jumped the shark I am afraid, and I would seriously suggest taking your business elsewhere (other than Walgreens ;) - I know I am). So long guys, it was great while it lasted, and oh, ps, please tell the rest of the store they are also loosing my incidental purchase spend, as there is no longer any reason for me to ever set foot in your store. read more
