I have been going here for years. All of a sudden they decided they no longer want to carry one of my prescriptions. But they said they don't know the reason why they wouldn't carry it (???) and were unwilling to explain the reason. They were "sorry" but couldn't give me any information. I had been getting that prescription from them for years. Otherwise I've had a great experience but I'm so put off by this. I prefer using a local pharmacy, and mostly this has been a good one, but I am baffled by this latest development. read more

Long overdue review! I've recommended multiple friends and strangers to this place for their next COVID shot in the last couple of months. They all had great experiences and grateful for their walk-ins/no appointment needed policy, while CVS and other big pharmacies required appointments and had very few slot available during the holiday time. Depending on the time you go here, there could be a line outside but it's right next to Trader Joe's so if you bring your partner or friend, one of you can do a grocery run while waiting. read more

Health care here is the worst i've ever seen and much better in third world countries. I am very fortunate to have Veterans healthcare which is minimal but better than anything else. Very happy with this pharmacy, best place to get a covid booster or vaccine. They run like a well oiled machine. Line moves fast, we were in and out so quickly even with a line of about 8 people ahead of us. Staff was very nice to deal with and very efficient. If another booster is needed I know where i will go. Nice location close to a lot of shops (Trader Joes, Grocery Outlet, Chins ect) so a great time to double up on some errands while in the area. Also a bus stop right in front of store so that sidewalk can get a bit busy and crowded. read more

LeCare deserves so much credit for their hard work vaccinating our community! I've gotten multiple vaccine doses there and they work incredibly hard to serve huge crowds. They are extremely professional and kind. I've referred MANY to them. They also don't gouge your insurance like some places that would charge insurance for an office visit that never really occurred. Only rating on the experience getting a Covid booster shot. My husband and I decided to go get our booster the day after Thanksgiving. Well a lot of people had the same idea. We got there 10 min before they opened and the line was to the Trader Joe's parking lot. We thought should we stay..... when they opened we surged forward then about 10 min after they opened another surge. We got our shot around 45 min after they opened. It was wonderfully organized moved really fast. They had clipboards for the next 10-15 people in line and confirmed which brand you wanted so you were ready to go. Very professional and efficient. Incredible staff! I came in last minute for a Covid vaccine. They offered me different options and had me fill out the paperwork. I was in a line halfway down the block but I was still in and out within 15 minutes. The staff was friendly and helpful with the paperwork. When I got covid I was referred to them for monoclonal antibody treatment. It was a car visit. They were very caring checked me out, & then administered it subcutaneously. Then monitored me. Afterwards he called me at least 3 times to check on how I was doing. He didn't have to do that. But he did! So compassionate care. He also found that my covid test from my dr didn't clearly show positive in the electronic report even tho they said it was positive & I had the cough. So he administered a rapid test to verify. I don't know how I would have done w out this. But w this, & ivermectin I got elsewhere & supplements I recovered. Others I knew of who had at same time who were younger did not. read more

This is an EXCELLENT neighborhood pharmacy. I went there for a shingles vaccination. Even though they were giving covid boosters also, I was in and out relatively quickly. I first started getting my Covid vaccines at Lecare a couple of years ago - the staff are efficient in getting folks vaccinated and out the door. I recently also started going to Lecare for my pharmacy needs. Their hours are fewer than some of the bigger national pharmacy chains, but I appreciate the customer service Lecare provides. I can also hit up Trader Joes anytime I go to Lecare so win/win. read more

Can't get an appoitment for a COVID booster. This place has you covered. I had an appoitment through RITE Aide, but the earliest I could get it was the end of the year. I heard this place was accepting walk-ins. Yes, you have to stand in line, and yes the line looks horrible, but for being a tiny operation they got a good system inplace, so the line moves rather quickly. Not to mention, I had great conversations with total strangers while I waited, which helped pass the time. My only wish is that it hadn't taken me 3 days to recover after the booster shot. read more

I LOVE this little pharmacy! They provide up-to-date care, for example you can renew Rx's on an app, but at the same time old fashioned, individual, human-to-human service. When I call on the phone, they pick up, no phone tree, no wait. The owners, Sandy and Thahn Le are friendly and very caring. You can get any necessary vaccine for any condition on a drop-in basis, and they will compound an Rx when it's prescribed. They are so much more than just a covid vaccine provider. I had very good experiences at Lecare getting my Covid vaccinations -- I found their accessibility and speed very impressive -- but recently I had a terrible experience trying to get a Covid PCR test for my young daughter. We went in on Friday 3/10/23 for a PCR test. I needed to pay out of pocket due to our insurance situation, so I had called ahead and asked if that would work. They said it would cost $150, but also seemed a little resistant to the idea of me paying out of pocket. Once we were there, the owner very conspicuously (and awkwardly) made sure to run my credit card before he would even swab my daughter's nose. My daughter is young and hates having her nose swabbed, but we muddled through. A few hours later, the owner called to say that the test was inconclusive, they could not get a positive or a negative result either way on their machine. He suggested we come back in and swab deeper in the nose. I agreed and after much convincing (bribing my daughter with a new toy) I convinced my daughter to go back. This time they really dug up her nose for the swab. She was sobbing, but we muddled through. Hours later they called to say that once again their machine failed to give a result either way. They seemed to think something was wrong with their machine and assured me that I would get a refund. Today, I checked my credit card (Tuesday 3/14) and there was no refund, so I called. They put me on the phone with the owner. He did a good job of first asking after my daughter, who is feeling better, but when I mentioned the refund, he told me that I needed to come in person and bring my receipt. I told him I didn't think I had kept the receipt. He began telling me how important it is to keep receipts and how difficult it would be to refund without it. I told him in a flat tone that I hadn't worried about keeping the receipt since it had never crossed my mind that they would fail twice to get a test result for my daughter. He then hung up on me without saying more. I am so disappointed in LeCare. If the owner had just done all he could to make good on the refund of $150 (rather than insisting on a receipt and hanging up on me) I would never have left this negative review. I understand that sometimes technology lets you down. It happens. I don't believe anyone on their end has even uttered the words "I'm sorry." I have subsequently found my receipt and will be going back to get my refund. Depending on that experience, I may update this review. UPDATE: Happy to share that I did get my refund today. I took my 3 yr old here for her first Covid vaccine, and it couldn't have gone better. The man who gave the shot was so good with her. First time she hasn't cried while getting a shot. He showed so much compassion and understanding of children. Made me realize that that's been lacking from the nurses giving the shots at our pediatrician's office. I love this pharmacy. It is literally the best pharmacy I've ever used. I switched from the Rite Aid on 41st because I was losing my mind dealing with them -- it's not the staff's fault, they're understaffed and overworked, but I would wait days or weeks for a callback and a refill, and they never, ever picked up the phone. The staff and pharmacists at Lecare are readily available, always pick up or call back promptly, and they never seem to drop the ball on your refills. They are always pleasant and kind, too. They remember their customers names, the way I imagine pharmacies (and most small businesses) used to be run many years ago. It feels nice to interact with Lecare and they do a great job, too. They're also a compounding pharmacy and can use natural fillers like ginger. I'm so glad I switched! read more

Great covid booster experience, would boost again. Walked up with no appointment at 5pm on a Tuesday (hour before close), they had two labeled-via-cone lines for Moderna and Pfizer. My Pfizer line was stretched to the corner of Trader Joe's, which feels kinda long, but the whole experience took 40 minutes tops. It felt very efficient, faster than either shot at the Convention Center. You'll get some simple paperwork to fill out while in line, and the staff running the lines were helpful and friendly (albeit rushed, as expected). Remember to bring your vax card, ID & insurance, otherwise you might hold up the line and annoy the staff and/or people behind you. Still, based on the dude in front of me, they can easily handle people who only have a picture of their vax card. Obviously also plan for the weather, as you may be standing on the sidewalk for a while. Given the neighborhood, you may also see or experience panhandling/busking/mental illness issues while waiting or walking around. If that sort of thing scares you, then you probably shouldn't have come into town in the first place (welcome to Portland). read more

We went here for COVID and flu vaccines as we understood from the govt "find vaccines" website that we could get both - but they told us they are saving their flu vaccines for uninsured folks only. When getting our COVID shots the mature male pharmacist's technique seemed slow and bizarre to me (a nurse) and it was the most painful we've received so far for both myself and my 10 year old. I think this place is fine for adults but I'll take my kid somewhere we can get both at once (and hopefully from someone who knows how to be efficient and make it more comfortable with technique.) read more
