I love this Walmart . The place is clean. Be not crazy busy like others. Parking is plentiful and when you get inside you can take your time since it's not busy. You don't see kids running around and people are pretty chill. Sales associates are helpful. read more

This is the best Walmart I have ever been too. It's a very clean and well organized store; which sometimes isn't the case for Walmart. The employees are friendly and helpful and they have a good selection of groceries and items available. The parking lot is large and has spaces available. Two out of three times I have ordered grocery delivery from this store, the driver arbitrarily canceled the order, and the store did not get another driver to deliver. I am a W+ member, and since moving here, I have been dissatisfied with that status. In each instance, I have paid $10 for delivery within two hours. In the first case, I canceled after 6 hours. In the second, I called customer service and they verified what happened and assured me that I would receive my delivery by the end of day, and that they were sending a stern message to the store manager, to ensure it never happens again. It has now been over 6 hours and not only has there been no delivery, there has not even been an update of status. Delayed, check back later translates to "We don't want your business." Ok starting off to say the lead managers here are extremely rude to their employees. Unless you're willing to kiss a**.Then they like you A lot of head leads have their own cliques. This place is terrible The good employees are overworked. The employees do work there that employers are suppose to do. The leads are dishonest They will have their favorite people who work there start small talk with you. Just to win trust. Another thing if the head lead doesn't like the work you do then you will get punished, by putting you on unfamiliar area of the store.. maybe that's how they get good employees to quit? Then they expect for you to finish at a certain time. If you don't then they will degrade you. They seem to make you feel bad about yourself. It's a very hostile work environment. It's mentally draining if you allow it to be. Now they really don't train employees as they should. It's a place where you have to teach yourself how to do things. Even though they are the leads. I was very pleasantly surprised by the amount of help I received from two different employees today. Loading a 40-pound bag onto my cart is a challenge and one employee helped get it loaded and then when I got to my car to unload it, another employee put it in my trunk. This Walmart is okay. However warning to all Walmart shoppers. Steer clear of those suspicious men trying to sell you that caramel corn in the large jars! I don't think that they're on the level. The man hawking that stuff claims that the proceeds go to homeless veterans. Uhm, I kind of doubt that. I don't feel that the Veterans Administration is behind this. When you walk to the entrance there is a man standing near what appears to be large jars of caramel corn. The men have each entrance covered. Suspicious. I tried to avoid the one man selling that stuff to go to the other entrance into Walmart to no avail. I'm going to call the V.A. to find out about this and see if it's legit. I can't believe that our trusty Walmart ended up having terrible service today. I called and asked them to check for the board game Clue and they said they would and put me on hold. At first, I thought it was perfectly fine that I was on hold while they checked. But, after 5 minutes I was still on hold and began getting suspicious. More than 20 minutes went by, and I was still listening to the music on hold. I've been to this Walmart and I know that it wouldn't take 20 minutes to go look for a game. I'm in disbelief over this situation and I'm extremely upset about the fact that I still don't know if they have the board game I wanted. This is one of the nicest Walmarts I've ever been to. We came on a Sunday and it was not very crowded. The Lawn & Garden section is pretty large and offers a lot of options.The rest of the store was clean and organized. They have ample self-checkout lines to make the process quick and painless. read more

Horrible service at register guy was rude, packed my stuff like it was junk and rude! I packed most of my stuff after 2 bags of pure chaos! Grrr I bought 3 water fountains that I had to take back because one didn't work at all and the other 2, well their motor was loud as hell! They need better customer service and employee's who have better personalities. I was seriously pissed when I left! I also asked him to bag my silk flowers (the tops of them) and he never did and I didn't notice as he placed them toward the end of the cart. This is easily the nicest Walmart I've ever been to- until I moved to the Covington area I avoided Walmart. Have you been to the Renton Walmart? It's basically a war zone. I can stop at this walmart on a saturday afternoon and it's calm and clean- seriously. Target in Kent is too far for me and this is a good option when I want to stop by. It's not a super store so it's not super duper big but they have what is needed. If all Walmarts were this nice, the world would be totally different. read more

Oh man, coming back here was like a blast from the past! I used to come here all the time for crap when I was in highschool haha. Oh the memories... Huge store, huge parking lot. During the summer on Friday nights they have a car show on the left side of the building in the parking lot with a lot of cool classic cars. It's worth coming to see, and it's free! This store has always been very well stocked. Electronics, groceries, shoes, clothing, furniture, decor, baby stuff, large garden dept indoor and outdoor, home remodeling supply, auto care, hunting/fishing/camping gear....etc.There is so much, you literally can find just about anything here. Except for an employee. Or a cart.... Usually they have a ton of carts up front and by the garden dept, couldn't find a single one last night. Employees are scarce, and if you do come across one or two they are usually too busy in their conversations to help you. Better off just making a lap or two around the store to find it on your own. Low prices, I mean, it's Walmart. I had intended to buy some plants for our new house last night, but they all kinda seemed to be lacking in green color.... They all appeared to be almost dead. Sadddd. I just want pretty indoor plants to hang up around my house for a reasonable price (good prices, but like I said, they are all wilting, dry and brown). Thankfully though I was able to check all the other items off of my list that I needed, so I suppose I can't be too bummed out. Definitely one of the cleaner and safer Walmart locations I've been too - I'd feel safe coming here at night if I needed to. Would much rather make this drive to this location over the one in Renton or Factoria. Customer service could use some work...but again...it's Walmart. You all know what to expect haha. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE. Terrible customer service. Transgender male employee who is usually in black shirt and has lots of freckles and glasses was harassing me and would not leave me alone after I was waiting for my dad after they ACCUSED my 64 yr old father of stealing and had him in a back room. I told the employee to please leave me alone as they kept speaking to me and antagonizing me and after they said "okay" not even 30 seconds later there they go again in my ear harassing me, I was on the phone with my friend at the time and she heard everything. I've heard many stories about this store pulling some shit like this and to have it happen to you is a whole other experience. Im in no way discriminating their sexual orientation that is the only way I know to describe them since they did not have a name tag and looked like a secret shopper. This is the worst Wal-mart I have ever been to. Being from Texas Wal-mart is the one to beat but when I came here I was in for a surprise! I have complained for almost 3 years about the lack of items. They will sell out of something and it will be weeks before they will replace it. The can foods are always beat to hell and dented. The staff, if you find someone, is rude and doesn't know nothing. I can think of like three people there that are nice and know what they are talking about. Ashley, a sup is one of them. The customer service desk acts like they are the makers of what is being returned and are offended you are returning something. They don't have enough staff there and most of the time there is one girl for like 10 people waiting. This place needs a major redo or just shut down. They hire people who don't know jack about customer service. Its 5 minutes away from my house, but sometimes I rather just drive to Auburn. read more

Hey - It's a Walmart! No surprises here - It's not Nordstroms, and not REI. It's a typical Walmart, and the people there are normal people working for a living. If you are disspointed with anything less than Nordstroms or Macys, then go to those places instead. They have a good stock of things you might find at Fred-Meyer or similar places, and the prices are a little better. I will never know the real story behind how the got a road to go right through their parking lot - which has to bring traffic right into the store. It smacks of politics and payoffs, but for now, all of us who want to drive that road have to drive through the darn parking lot. This is not relevant to the quality of the store, but it is amazing that the Covington city planners are such schmucks that they think this is OK. Anyway, I find the sales people are nice if you are nice to them. No big experts on things, just regular people. The prices make this place my first stop for the stuff they carry. I have been waiting for over 10 minutes now for my site to store order. No one is at the desk, a couple associates walked by and asked if I needed help. They had to page people since they could not help. Still sitting here with no one around and here I thought doing site to store would be easier. A CSR came over finally, named Judy. If zero stars is possible that is what I would give this place. There alcohol purchasing policy is ridiculous! I was with my mother today and she was purchasing one bottle of wine. The cashier asked for my moms ID.... then preceded to ask for my ID. My mom was shocked and asked why they needed my ID when she was the one purchasing alcohol and they said it's store policy. Because I am not 21 yet they refused to sell my mom, who is almost 40 years old, a bottle of wine. We ended up going across the street to safeway to buy the same bottle of wine and had no issues there. Their employees lack any sort of customer service skills and their policies are insane. Yesterday my mom and I went to the Covington Walmart. We did our shopping & then went to check out. We got up to the checker & started to separate our items apart. This Checker named (Forrest) he started like freaking out a little bit saying stop you don't need to sourt your items just leave it alone very rude!!! I had 4 T-shirts that I wanted to buy they were normally $5 but they were on sale for $3. He scanned all 4 of them & They rang up at $5. I'll let him know that they were on sale for $3. He said NO they are not & rang up all 4 of them & put them in the bag. I know they're on sale for $3 instead of asking somebody to go help & look for him threw a fit and took them off. He finally gave in & asked for help after being rude to my mom & I for 10 min the lady went & looked & she said they were $3 so please be cautious when you go to the Covington Walmart and your Checkers name is (Forrest) he may be rude and snap at you. read more

Purchased summer clothes at walmart and couldn't try them on due to fitting rooms that are closed, so I tried to return them today but they would not take them back. They said I can't return them right now. I bought clothes on the same day at Target and they took them back. Out of the dozen or so times I have visited a walmart store I have had bad or extremely bad experiences more often then good ones. I left a pkg of slides (165) at the photo center to be transferred to a DVD. I understood it takes 3 weeks for it to be returned to the Covington store. I returned in 3 weeks to find my slides had been returned without any DVD. No explanation. And so I contacted the photo manager. I was told I had not packaged the slides properly. I followed the directions that were posted on the Walmart photo website.....take to the store and they do the rest. Now I have to wait another 3 weeks for my order to be completed. It doesn't seem like the clerks understand what the procedure for this process is supposed to be. read more

On August 18th 2020 I was wrongfully accused of being a criminal along side my 9 yr old daughter. I was surrounded by 4 sales associates at the self check out after completing my purchase those same associates ganged up on me asking for my receipt. I asked why because they all watched me basically breathing down my neck as I finished my purchase. I held my receipt up where it was taken violently from my hand and my belongings ransacked viciously. In the middle of all this I was forced to remain in the store by An associate blocking me from the exit. They realized every item was on the receipt and I was still treated like scum on the bottom of their shoes and was met with a harsh and sarcastic employee who told me to have a " "beautiful day" with no explanation I was left completely in the dark as to why they did this to me! I am a paying customer and my rights were taken from me that day! I'm emotionally damaged and embarrassed that I had people watching me be falsely accused. My daughter is now frightened and I am now so engulfed with emotions!! read more

Great location, however there is one manager there that was trying to grab at my arm and I didn't care much for that! Now beware Walmart managers have a really bad rep. That's as far as I'll go on that. This guy was a manager because he wasn't wearing a blue vest but wearing a gray colored polo( He was wearing a Walmart employee badge) & he was talking with an associate with a Walmart badge. Based on this experience I won't be coming back to this particular location. The middle aisle was somewhat cluttered but this guy seemed to kind of go out of his way to touch me kind of creepy. Women beware of your surroundings sometimes some men ( not all ) are known to pull stunts like this. Also the store is way too crowded with employee's stocking shelves , pulling the dollies or whatever those things are. I would think that Walmart would hire overnight staff for that. But I guess not. I'm not a huge fan of Walmart to begin with, mainly because I've had bad customer service experiences in the past with other Walmart locations. Unless I absolutely need to, I tend to avoid coming to Walmart stores. While running errands, I needed to get something, and since Walmart was on my way, I decided to stop by and give Walmart another opportunity. Unfortunately, the customer service experience was the same as my past experiences. I don't know why, but from my experience, it seems as though Walmart employees just don't really care. I needed something from the jewelry department and since nobody was there, I looked for a Walmart associate. After searching a few aisles and other departments, I finally found an associate and asked if they could get somebody down to help me at the jewelry department. The associate said that they would page someone over there, so, I headed back to the jewelry department. I waited for quite some time but nobody showed up. I then proceeded to ask another associate and they said the same thing, "I'll get somebody over there for you". I waited again, but nobody showed up. In total, I waited close to 20 minutes. There were about 2 other customers at the jewelry department who needed assistance during that time too, but, they gave up their wait before I did. I just wished that the associates would have followed through and it was a waste of my time, and a reflection of their subpar customer service standards. I should have stayed away based on my previous experiences. read more

The Electronics associate that helped me was by far the most friendly service I've ever received. Michelle in Electronics was quick to respond to my questions and was very helpful. She knows everything from the cell phones(phone & plans) to computers and she even knows her movies and CD's. I visit this store about once every week or two. Its always clean and nice. read more

Most of the Walmart's I've been in I would not go back to by choice because they are usually very dirty and the customers are very rude and downright strange. But I feel comfortable shopping here and over the years really don't feel like it has gone downhill. It is my go to place when I'm needing to shop for a variety of things. And as for returns, I've never had an issue with them. I bought an outfit for Halloween and tried it on and it was too small. I brought it to returns thinking they would not allow me to do so, but they were so accomodating and there were no problems. Same with when I was trying to make an exchange for a toy that I didn't have a reciept for but it was no problem, they exchanged it for the same toy. read more

I recently started going here when I moved to Kent and it's amazing threw difference between here and the last one I went to. When I asked for help from their manager to pull the security camera footage in their parking lot, I was told that because it is private property that they wouldn't do that unless police required them to!! I waited on hold for customer service for 5 min on the first call and then for 7 min during the second. I went in to the store and on a Sunday early afternoon they only have one agent working at customer service.
