Went Birthday shipping for my Granddaughter with one item in mind, even though I always walk out with way more Easy Bake Oven is all I can say. Nostalgia My granddaughter wanted an Easy Bake Oven so bad so is to Walmart I went. Since every other store was out of the oven but had a huge variety of the food. Needles to say I found a lot of other things and I just love that about Walmart, I always find stuff I didn't need but definitely want The new Easy Bake Oven is awesome, no light bulb required and yes I'm that old lol... I spent the night with my baby and we started off with the Pizza.. Typically I wouldn't write something like this because I don't let this kind of stuff bother me but Tonight I had an awful experience. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt because I know that the late night crowd is probably tough. I'm sure they deal with a ton of shrink and all kinds of chaos every night. So I can almost give this Kyle guy the empathy to try to put myself in his shoes... But then again - no I can't. This dudes a piece of garbage. #1 - Don't you EVER in your life come up to me or any other customer and act as if they are stealing because they are trying on shoes. That was his Initial approach = accusing me of ditching my shoes and putting on a pair for of those. When I said excuse me what did you say and showed him that my shoes were in my hand and in the cart he and another woman continued to stand there. Essentially he followed me around the entire store taunting me and smirking and making it clear to me that he believes I was planning to steal after out right accusing me of it to my face. The Walmart & Fedex delivery drivers in my area, Seattle Washington, 98144, has got to be the Worse Delivery Drivers in the Entire World, Hands Down tying with the Fedex Delivery Drivers in this area of Washington state!!! They perhaps are poorly trained if trained at all and apprently unable to read and/or follow delivery instructions. Rrather than providing good delivery for walmart's customer, they throw packages on the floor helter-skelter instead of putting them in the secured lockers provided for the couriers & delivery drivers to utilize. there ar signs all over the delivery areas for the delivery drivers to do the right thing, yet they do not - they just lazily leave packages, small packages on the floor - lazy uneducated, uncaring delivery drivers!!! Needed to pick up Henny and Crown for a party so I showed up at the Covington Walmart. Oooh that liquor aisle was busy! So they got everything locked up behind glass and the worker has to escort customers one by one to the cash register. Really nice the dudes ahead of me saved me the last Henny bottle. Greedy and lazy management alongside no communication. I was told today no returns on holiday stuff past 12/25. I bought lights on Dec 22 and they didn't light up. I attempted to return them today and was told even though the product we sold you was broken we cannot return them. Shame on you Walmart. An employee told me they do this because they're lazy and don't want to have to account for each item that's returned. Furthermore it is management discretion to have this policy so I was also told "drive to Auburn maybe they'll do it." Customer service manager was rude and argumentative. They apparently make up policy rules depending on their mood. The person also initiated and played an imaginably horrible and unnecessary 'racism card', making a first remark about "the color of her skin" in the argument, which had absolutely nothing to do with the business at hand. This was seemingly to distract from the fact that they would not make good ON THEIR OWN RULES on a fair, timely and receipted return. I would never ever go back there again. This place is the worst. Every time I ask for help, I'm essentially told to find another person. I have walked through the doors to an employee and a customer in a full on screaming match, every thing is locked up and no one is ever around to help. Today I wanted to make a big purchase but couldn't find a button to call for an employee so I walked up front to ask someone to help me. I wasn't greeted, they just stared at me, then they told me to go back and look for "the button" I went back and couldn't locate one so I left! Not to mention several employees walking past me as I just stood next to a locked appliance waiting for anyone to look my way. I'm over this place, cost in savings isn't worth the complete lack of customer service. No one will help you purchase anything, but you better believe there is ALWAYS someone at the door on your way out to check your receipt. Earlier this week, I inadvertently left a small pink coin purse on top of the Washington State Lottery scratch ticket dispenser as I had bought two tickets and needed a coin to scratch off numbers. It was full of coins and had sentimental value as it was my daughter's and she was murdered 10 years ago. In any event, I found that it was missing on Wednesday. It took me until last night to figure out that I probably left it there. I called and was told that it was turned in and I told the lady on the phone I would pick it up today. I went to customer service today and there was some confusion and was first told that they didn't have it and then they did. One of the associates came up holding said purse in her hand (coins still in purse!). Needless to say, I broke down in tears with relief. Thank you to those who helped me last night/today and thank you to whoever turned it in. There was no identification in it and anyone could have just walked out with it without knowing the story behind the coin purse or even caring. read more

I had purchased my son a video game in electronics along with some wrapping paper. After that purchase he wanted to bake a cake with me. We went and grabbed a box of cake mix and some small snacks. The cashier asked me about my items in the cart. I told her I already paid for these items and I showed her my receipt. Because I didn't let her hold my receipt she accused me of stealing and left her line to follow me to the front and she told security that I didn't pay for my items. I showed the security my receipt and the security guards know me. I spend a lot of money at Walmart. I've tried three times on three different days at three completely different times and it's always "well it's closed for the day" (6pm on a weekday) or "it'll open in two hours" (at 1pm in the afternoon). Lowest prices, yeah. But cheapest quality, too. Pickup option- I tried it for the first time today, as my purchase didn't meet the minimum for free delivery. The kiosk and chairs were right by the entrance. The kiosk itself was easy to use and the nice employee popped out within and minute. She came back with my item in less than a minute...which was a fabulous Cyber Monday deal, by the way. Bonus points for calling me sweetheart. ;) Clothes- My husband bought one of the "generic" brand shirts; it fell apart after one washing. Towels/washcloths- I got sucked into the super low prices and cute colors. The edges unraveled pretty quickly. Never again. Cosmetics and cleaning supplies- Offering all the name-brand items at low prices is a big plus. Customer service- I usually have a hard time finding an employee on the floor. So, I feel like it's a YOYO situation. Find it yourself. There are never enough check-stands open. One older lady at the check-stand couldn't figure out how to scan one of my items, and thought she called supervisor. We waited and waited (while the line continued to build) and finally I offered to go grab someone else. She got the hint and found a supervisor who completed my transaction in about 10 seconds. read more

I find most Walmarts are pretty representative of the class of people living nearby. This one has many items in locked cases so it's hard to make a purchase because they had to make things harder to steal. It's filthy, even first thing in the morning. The staff is rude, the doors were wide open at 2 minutes to 6am. Basically so a woman could yell at everyone walking up that they "still had more time before they were open". I don't blame her because it wasn't just would-be shoppers, homeless people were waiting to go in also. All I needed was a calculator before I went to take a standardized test where cell phones aren't allowed. Took nearly an hour for them to find the key so I could make that purchase and while I was standing around I noticed lots of other items still on the pegs were already open from people stealing. I've been here once and am going to buy what I need elsewhere from now on. Crazy security procedures made a quick trip into a long one. Took 7 employees and 90 minutes to purchase a cell phone charger cord, blue-ray player and a cell phone holder for my car. I was told by the electronics cashier that he would hold the blue-ray for me because I would have to go to the outdoor/vehicle section for a phone holder. I asked if I could just pay for the it so I wouldn't have to walk back, and he said no. It took asking 3 employees in the outdoor area before one had a key and could unlock the case they are holding the phone cases in. Went back to electronics and remembered I needed the cell charger. Found them, and saw they were also locked up. Went to the cashier who was helping a lady with a return, and after talking to her for several minutes, he finally asked for some help. This staff member walked me over to get it. While helping me, a man was waiting for help, and he asked him. The staff member was curt with him, telling him to wait till he was done with me. When I got back to the register, the first cashier called for back-up again, and another cashier checked me out. I shop here once every three or four weeks, just to get cheap basic needs. Like today, I came in for a document frame that's 8.5" x 11". Something I do not want to go to Aaron Brothers where they would charge me an arm and a leg for. Here at Walmart, I got a metal frame for $3.32!! What a freaken deal! Bananas are only $0.25 each, can't beat that! I was also in search for Better Oats instant steel cut oats. But they do not carry this particular item! Bummer! Target in Kent does!!! Shhhh! My cashier was very nice and chatty, she has missing teeth and talks like a crack addict. She made a comment on how cute my kids are, saying my daughter looks cuter than Dora the explorer! And my son has big eyes! Ummmmmm... The parking lot can be sketchy though. Got weird people chillin' outside their cars. And people whippin' thru like it's a race track. SMH! Curbside pick up is a joke here in Covington, WA. Why advertise something, allow a person to schedule a pick up time, allow them to check in on the app when they arrive at the store when nobody will bring their order out to them during the scheduled time slot? When I finally got through on the phone, after waiting for 40 minutes in the parking lot, they told me to come inside to get the order. I asked why I would go inside to pick up the order when I scheduled curbside pick up. Then I was told someone would bring the order out to me. An employee came out to verify my name, said everyone went home, and that he will get my order. He eventually did bring the order out. By the time I left I had been there for an hour. This is the same location that I previously complained about for not staying open the hours that the posted signs and website said they were open. Not asking for a lot. Don't let anyone make appointments if you are not going honor the time slot. If you are not going to allow for curbside pick-up, take the signs down so people can utilize the parking spots. read more

My co worker and someone I consider a very good person and friend was completely embarrassed because of how poorly she was treated by 4 staff members at this location. They ganged up on her at self check out. They humiliated her in front of the store and her daughter. They made snap judgments and even went as far as to search through her purchased items. It was a complete violation of privacy and when she spoke to the managers they handled the situation just as badly as the employees. One even said they didn't see anything wrong with how she was treated. She deserves justice for how they treated her. Her young daughter didn't deserve to see her mother disrespected and hurt like that. She needs to see that people are held accountable for their actions and there are consequences for doing what they did. read more

A friend of mine visited this location on 8/18 with her daughter. They were using the self-checkout yo purchase 8 items for her daughter who was with her at the time. While checking out she noticed she was being watched by 4 associates. When she was done paying and ready to leave, all of the associates approached them asking to see her receipt. She complied and they detained both her and her daughter (who yes are black). They didn't tell them why until she asked to speak with a manager. He mentioned the associates thought she didn't scan one of her items, even though they watched her the entire time and checked her receipt. Once the manager reviewed the video footage and admitted that he didn't even know why they were all watching her, she was allowed to leave. No mention of even an apology at the time, just an eye roll from an associate named Callie and a "have a beautiful day.." my friend was criminalized and humiliated not only in front of the entire store for no reason but her 9 year old daughter endured everything as well!
