Shop at this Target store often. The parking is easy and location is not too far. Like the Starbucks inside it and you can use your rewards. The different sections around the store and simple enough to navigate to. Amount of inventory can depend, though. I have noticed the Electronics and Men's sections have decreased, though. Not as much selection compared to before in my opinion. And a lot more items have been locked up, probably due to higher thefts in recent years. I am also not sure why the App/Online website shows things in stock or available for sale for some in-store items, but when you get to the store, they are actually not in stock. I believe the online system needs to be updated to identify that issue. The collectible card aisle is always at the front register area, just a small little shelf. But it rarely has the cards available for purchase! Checkout lines can get long, even the Self-Checkout ones. read more

It's unfortunate that there's no Target section here to critique Target's online store specifically. Target's on-line store issued me a 20% coupon which specified that it's for use on music and MOVIES. There was literally zero movies that this coupon would apply to in my cart. The day after this coupon was issued I noticed that Target changed the verbiage and omitted "movies" from it's verbiage. My suggestion is that any fans of physical Media should shop elsewhere. Target has abandoned its movie customers and they do not care. They may as well not even offer movies any longer because they are beyond overpriced in comparison to Amazon and Walmart online. read more

I placed an DoorDash order from here and Jai one of the workers here replaced one of my items, he replaced it with something I didn't want.And was so far off of what I wanted ,so I canceled the order but he already paid for it . I cant get a refund . If he would've ask what I wanted he would've not got one star. I didn't even receive the items I paid for. Today, July 30, I went to Target in Kent on 104th Ave to pick up my prescriptions and dog food. The pharmacy was closed so I got my Starbucks, dog food, and a few other items. I checked out at self check out around 8:15 pm. As I approached the door, one of the security guards who I see there often was at the door and stopped me asking for my receipt looking under the cart. I looked there to see what he was referring to and noticed the 14 lb bag of dog food I placed under there and forgot about. I told him that I totally forgot it was under there and will go back to pay for it. He aggressively stopped my car and snatched the bag from under the cart. I explained that I had not paid for it and needed to go back to pay. In a very aggressive and intimidating tone said, "It's too late for that!!!!" I wasn't sure what he was referring to and I explained again that I forgot it was underneath there; it was hidden with the piece of cardboard board and my dogs so I needed to pay. He refused to let me make the purchase saying because I was trying to walk out without paying. At that point it dawned on me that he was accusing me of trying to steal the dog food. I told him I was appalled that he was accusing me of stealing and wanted to speak to his supervisor. When he called the supervisor, he said I wanted to speak to him and that I was getting ready to walk out of the store without paying for the dog food. He said it as if I was deliberately trying to steal versus explaining what I told him which was a very honest and common mistake. I was distracted texting my friend about an upcoming event and I didn't even see it because I had a piece of cardboard in the cart that my dogs were sitting on to protect their paws (see the attached). It was a special hand written one given to them by staff at the Home Depot across the street from the Target. After I left Target, I went to Home Depot to conduct business. They know my digs and I very well because I spend a LOT of money there renovating my several properties. I told them about my experience and they too called it "RACIAL PROFILING". There have been SEVERAL occasions where people have made the sake mistake; cashiers have made the same mistake. I have done that in the past and go back in explaining and pay. I am a VERY honest person and would do nothing unethical of what he was accusing me of. His actions and behavior towards me was very intimidating; harassing; insulting; public humiliation; taunting with his smirks and gestures; talking about me to others; defamatory of my character. As I left out, on a taunting way, he leaned over to my dogs saying hey doggy doggy. It wasn't a nice sincere gesture towards them; it was a taunting and reading towards them that was beyond out of line. Someone that would stoop that low with behavior of animal cruelty acting that way towards someone's animal after the way he treated me is someone with a very evil spirit and demeanor. He's a representative of how Target treats their customers and animals. He refused to give me his name and the supervisor refused to give me his name so I took a picture of him. And, how was that even considered stealing and I had not even walked out of the store and he was passive aggressive towards me. But nonetheless, I explained and was explaining not even realizing the entire time he was accusing me of stealing. As a BLACK female Senior VP Human Resources Executive professional, I'm beyond livid by his actions; his harassment; and defamation of my character I experienced by him who represents Target. I know that several people are boycotting Target for the way they have treated people of color. And, apparently his treatment towards me is repeated behavior towards other blacks from Target. My friends were not happy that I continued to shop at Target and told me not to. I regret that I didn't listen to them! My expectation is that there is accountability with that security guard and that I hear back from senior management at Target. read more

Huge lines - no help. I put my stuff down and drove to Fred Meyer. There is no excuse for making people stand in a 40 person line

Targets in the Seattle metro have gone so far downhill compared to what they used to be. Every time I go to this Kent location and the Renton location, there are the following problems, ALWAYS (why have I continued to shop here??): 1. Wrong items shelved at the wrong price tags. 2. EXPIRED food items still on shelves (CHECK DATES ON FOOD before putting in your cart!!) 3. Products that *were* on sale and are not anymore still have the sale price tags so you end up paying more than you thought you would because you aren't getting that sale advertised 4. Regular price tags are outdated and prices have gone up. 5. Products are not being rotated 6. Damaged products and packaging still on shelves 7. Messy stores 8. Many store department restock workers aren't doing their jobs and don't care at all 9. Make sure you aren't DOUBLE-CHARGED for items mistakenly scanned twice by the cashier 10. Many empty spots on shelves CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS and ideally watch the prices when scanning at check out. Think retail theft is the only problem?? These local Targets are STEALING MONEY FROM THEIR CUSTOMERS by (intentionally or unintentionally) mis-advertising prices in store. You often don't realize until you get all the way home that you've been overcharged. Even if it's just a couple dollars here and there, that definitely adds up over time and through a LOT of customers!! And these Targets are going to make someone sick from expired food goods! Come on, local Targets (I can't speak to other regions or states).... Get your teams to have meetings to focus on work motivation and quality, hire QA staff to roam and check your inventory, pricing accuracy, and presentation in every department, and get your act together! read more

Overall a pretty average Target that has all the things you'd expect to find here from the popular department store. This store is quite clean and well organized. Check out is something else. Don't come here when it's busy because you're going to wait in the checkout line for so long you'll be walking out new wrinkles. Often times the cashiers are slow and there aren't even close to enough of them to meet demand. They have self-checkout (yay!) but those lines are just as long and then you have the added fun of people who don't really know how to work them so they take extra long. read more

First, I wanted to buy a pair of dress shoes for work, but there was only the left shoe. I needed help looking for the right one ( the only 3 pairs left were not my size). They called a guy to help since the 2 girls working there were too busy to help me look for a few minutes. The guy they sent over wasn't much help at all... hardly looked for the shoe. I went around the department and whole store looking for the right shoe by myself, couldn't find it. So, I decided to leave the shoe there and shopped for a few other items. When I got home I realized the creamer I had bought is going to expire in 2 days. I decided to call the store to talk to someone to see if I could get some help with this matter, but no one picked up the call.... And I mean NO ONE!!!! I called each department and let the phone ring 20 times each. Out of the over 100 times it rang only one person picked up then hung up right away! This is god awful, horrible customer service!!!!! Until this store gets rid of their locked cabinets, I'm shopping at Auburn Fred Meyer - they don't have locked cabinets. I waited close to 20 minutes for someone to unlock a cabinet so I could get a $11.99 item from the cold medicine shelf. There were lots of employees running around the store, but apparently no one had time to unlock a cabinet for me. I don't blame them. They are not paid enough to care. read more

Very disappointed. This Target used to be a nice store I come every weekends. Now is just a dump. Products never stock full. Checkout lines are extremely long. Bathroom in terrible condition. Food court is not welcoming. Even the Starbucks baristas are providing wrong information and charging me add-ons for free redeem drinks. Not only that, the soy got me sick. That's too bad. Grabbed my little brother a grilled cheese and fries from the Pizza Hut express there. When we got home the grilled cheese was not edible. I purchase a $50 item at Target on Monday 2/22/16 and that was the last thing I purchase using that credit card. Today around 3:30pm while I was having lunch with my kids, I got a mobile alert from my bank said I was charged $74.97 from AYI-Are You Interested, some sort of dating/escort services per Chase bank representative. Well, hello FRAUD! So looks like the bank had resolved the issue and had refunded back to my account and closed it. I think there was once a fraud alert incident from Target before, I just didn't pay attention to it cuz I don't shop their until recently after having kids, Target is a kid friendly place to shop at and it is close to home! My point across is to be careful when you shop using your credit card at a store, especially Target where it has been breached once or twice before. Bring cash to shop! Haha lol read more

This review goes out to Elton. We came in to buy a tv the other day and Elton was patient with us while we were deciding. He helped with some info on the two different TVs and once purchased he helped us take it out to our car. All in all very satisfied with our experience. Simple, stress free, and happy with our new 65" Vizio tv!! P.S. if you plan on having two Vizio TVs in the same room... it won't work since their remotes are universal and not individually paired to the tv. (So our remotes will control both TVs at the same time which is NOT what we want) BUT, the tv is freaking awesome!!! And we are just gonna by an LG for a second tv in the living room. Understaffed!!! I just moved to south from Bothell and this Target store in Kent is always disappointing if compared to others I've been in our Greater Seattle area. The carts are often dirty. The shelves are often disorganized. I've visited the store a couple of times and they have one cash register open while having a long line of customers waiting. Today, I went to the store to buy candies for trick and treaters and I had to wait about 20 minutes in the line because again only one cash register is open even on a Halloween day. This Target speaks to me.. not only is it huge, since their remodel everything is super clean and well organized and there are a ton of employees around all the time in case you need help. I come to this Target often for some necessities - cat food, makeup remover, dry goods and it's always well stocked with a lot of options. The one thing I do think is the case is that this Target definitely doesn't have as many clearance items or sales as I'm used to at a Target but maybe it's because they don't refresh their inventory as often as the downtown Seattle location I'm used to. This Target is super small, poorly laid out, and you'll wait 5 minutes for a shopping cart. Once someone is done shopping you have to get a cart from them. In over an hour they never brought in carts. Also, the bathroom is utterly disgusting. No seat protectors, toilet paper not stocked, discarded clothing on the floor after someone obviously stole clothes. No one cares about this bathroom. Considering the majority of shoppers are women it seems logical to ensure that the bathroom is women and children friendly and clean! The pro is that the parking lot is a good size. read more

The employees at this store are mostly unhelpful, but the store is clean enough and they stock a lot of items. The night before Halloween, I dropped in to pick up last minute carving tools. I asked an employee to point me in the right direction, and he told me that they already sent back the Halloween stuff, and replaced the displays with Christmas stuff. That didn't sound right, so I walked through the store anyway. LO' AND BEHOLD there were three Halloween aisles!!! The cashiers are also always slow as snails, and I once even got rung up at the customer service desk where the employee didn't know how to use the system. Some better training or higher standards when hiring could certainly help at this store. From my experience, the less interaction that you have with the staff... the better. read more

Out of all the years I've shopped at my local target NEVER have I've had bad customer service. I went in to shop for wipes with my newborn and toddler while I was shopping my boyfriend sent me money to grocery shop . I did not think I'd have to explain to the cashier why I didn't have my stroller to shop. I did not ask her to give me her opinion on how I should shop. I went to the counter and in advance apologized and told her I didn't know I'd be grocery shopping or else I'd have my stroller. She then proceeds to ask me where my stroller was and I told her I had left it at home not knowing I'd be grocery shopping. She THEN tells me that I shouldn't shop with the baby and my toddler that it should be my boyfriend shopping instead. Mind you my boyfriend was at work we had no groceries at home and he barely had gotten paid today. Not only did she give me that rude assumption she also throws the dress I gotten for my daughter to the side , as my daughter sees that she tells me if she can put it in a bag and tried giving it to the cashier WHO puts her hand in her face ! I lost it. But I still tried giving her the benefit of the doubt. She then gets mad at me after asking me how many bags she used and I told her she should know if she bagged my stuff . It escalated over how many bags she used when from the beginning she was rude and telling me how I should shop. I'm a mother of two it was my first time shopping alone never have I dealt with such rudeness. The audacity for her to get mad when I didn't even have to explain or apologize in the first place. COVID changes add to their remodel has left a congested dysfunctional space. Placement of large sale display items in the primary walkway directly in from of registers has left an unclear path to get to a register. Limited registers open with a large crowd leaves you questioning why you came here in the first place. Limited stock is disappointing, having a sign mandating mask usage but having staff walking around with the dangling on an ear and animals wondering (on a leash at least) with no service identification makes the store confusing to anyone trying to follow any safety precautions. Only saving grace preventing me from asking for a negative star review was the associate who assisted with ordering a cable, from Amazon....... read more

I asked for a certain product I couldn't find and instead of just pointing and telling me where it was; the person walked me over and showed me exactly where it was. I was getting some breath mints and a candy bar that could use and used the debit card to get some money out. Needed a $5 bill along with the 3 10s the machine gave out. So since the machine only gives out 10s at the self service, asked the person at customer service if could break a 10 for 2 5s. Refused. The Target employee said now Target's policy is they cannot give out change for ANY reason even if you buy something. So I returned the items in the bag. To make matters worse she rang up the purchases separately so just could give me a ton of dimes and pennies, not even any quarters and well over a dollar worth of coins! And talked to the manager but did nothing. Will not shop the Target off 104th in Kent and definitely would not recommend anybody shop there! K read more

O gosh I looooove target and their goodies they always carry. But their bathrooms are horrendous... it's so outdated and equipment and doors are broken. Smells awful. Based on this trip I wouldn't be likely to recommend Target. I stood in line like everyone else & while we were waiting Trinity came to the register behind mine but still in the same line of people & too the people behind me instead of taking the next person in line, which would have been myself & my friend or the person in front of us (who actually was the next person in line). I asked Trinity point blank why she skipped my friend & I as next people to be helped & took the person behind me & Trinity responded she assumed we would wait to be helped at the register in front. 2 people behind my friend & I were able to check out & vacate Target before we were assisted at the front register with Rhea (I think; she was the only one to provide decent service/customer service so she doesn't stand out in memory of this bad visit). I asked Rhea to reach out to a supervisor or manager of the time/day to speak with about the issue & she turned her light on for help. NO ONE CAME. She had check my friend out & then myself & made excuses that the supervisor/manager may have been doing walks & it was a busy day. The customer service faltered when Rhea told me I needed to wait in another line at the Customer Service to speak with one of those associates because there was not a supervisor/manager to respond to the register at the time of cashier help sign flashing. So, I stood over at the customer service line for about 4-5 minutes waiting for anyone at this Target to actually respond to customer service & was finally approached by Selina/Saline (a supervisor) & told she was informed she may need to speak with me. I told the supervisor/manager the issue & was apologized & told the associate would be spoken with. I asked why this is an issue in the first place because customer service is customer service & first come first serve when lines come into play is pretty common practice; I asked what the follow up was because I'd like more than "I'm sorry & the associate will do better next time" & when I became testy with Saline/Selina because I won't be the next customer to get the corrected customer service, I was the one who received a very poor experience this time around with good money spent, Saline/Selina asked "well, what would you like to happen at this time?" I'D HAVE PREFERRED TO BE TAKEN AS THE NEXT CUSTOMER BECAUSE I SPENT MY HARD EARNED MONEY WITH TARGET & I SHOULD NOT HAVE; MY PURCHASE WAS NOT APPRECIATED & MY CHOICE TO USE TARGET & HELP FUND THEIR PAYCHECKS WAS NOT APPRECIATED. I'D HAVE PREFERRED FOR A SUPERVISOR/MANAGER TO HAVE RESPONDED PROMPTLY TO THE REGISTER/CASHIER IN NEED WHEN THE "ASSIST ME" LIGHT WAS TRIGGERED. I'D HAVE PREFERRED TO NOT HAVE TO BE FUNNELED TO SEVERAL DIFFERENT SPOTS TO SPEAK WITH SOMEONE ABOUT THIS BAD TARGET EXPERIENCE. I'D HAVE PREFERRED NOT TO PURCHASE AT TARGET, & DEFINITELY THIS LOCATION, THIS DAY OR FOR THIS SIGNIFICANT PURCHASE (I had a tight schedule for a baby shower to get to) OTHERWISE I WOULD HAVE RETURNED MY ENTIRE PURCHASE DONE THAT DAY. This is not my typical Target experience & I do not use this location (but again baby shower & proximity). I will never use this location again, I may choose to shop at Target less because this visit put the worst taste in my mouth regarding & I can spend my money elsewhere. This Target is great for Kent area shoppers, but know that this store is considerably smaller than most Target stores. What I like about this store is that I feel like I'm stepping back in time a couple of decades when I walk in here, but that does limit the choices if you're looking for a wide assortment of the usual odds and ends that most people expect from a Target store. read more
