I really wish there was a different Target closer to me. Really. Why? They don't seem to ever have enough cashiers or backup cashiers. There's always a backup. The fitting room attendants are always distracted or apathetic. One time, the lady was too concerned with being grandma Sophia to see me standing there waiting to try on a small stack of clothes. Nobody ever asks me if they can help me find anything. The reasons I keep coming back? It's nearby. Like 5-minutes near. Starbucks. Fairly in-stock on the items that I come for. It's fairly neat. But it's close. And Target has great prices on groceries. PS: I guess this goes for anywhere, but be cautious of strange-looking-or-acting people in the parking lot. My car was stolen here earlier this year. Thankfully, Target had the thief on video and was able to be an excellent partner with the Kent PD, and I got it back in about 24 hours. read more

I am sad I have to be writing this review, because I love target and prefer it over Walmart. Unfortunately the customer service and customers are worse than Walmart scary to say. Pharmacy staff is beyond rude. There is not a sign in sight NO CELLPHONES. I pick up a call and the pharmacist starts rudely yelling no cellphones. The lines are always long. No matter the time of day. I was trying to squeeze through with my 2 kiddos and a shopping card, and a man started yelling at me and my kids. Employees and security saw everything. Nothing was done. I literally had to run to my car with my kiddos from that crazy man. So for your own safety stay away from this target. FYI couple months ago there was a man shot and killed at this parking lot. read more

For the most part, this is a pretty standard Target. The bonus is that the staff are friendly and helpful. They also seem to be easy to find too, although that could be simply because it is during the holiday season and there are extra staff? Either way, it is awesome. One downside is that parking can be kind of a pain. There are a ton of spots, but they seem to fill up quite quickly, regardless of whether it is a busy weekend or a slow weekday. read more

Wow....and not in a good way! This store is SO dirty! I was appalled from the minute I walked in. I have never seen a store that disgusting. It was like a tornado came through it and none of the staff cared. Came in for 1 thing, but couldn't even walk to the other side of the store. This store used to be my favorite store but I noticed for the past year it's really going down hill. I had taken notice of the Sunday ad not too long ago advertising a 3d, Blu-ray version of a released movie at a discounted price. I arrived at the Kent Target location to find an empty shelf. I asked them if they had any shipments coming in and unfortunately the lady didn't know. She looked up the movie at an alternate location but they also didn't have the movie available. The ad unfortunately said they wouldn't give rain checks but the nice lady at the Kent Target talked to her manager and got me the rain check even without my asking. It was nice to see they were willing to help even if they didn't necessarily have to. Lesson learned, don't freak out and make a scene. See if they're willing to help. Most of the time if there's an advertised item not in stock, they will give you a rain check and you just have to be patient. read more

The manager here is racist. I was refused help by two young white women who were in the back not working. When the security told them to help me they flat out refused and ran to the manager. The manager told me they couldn't help me. They didn't even take my order. So I returned my entire purchase which was $399.59. Kent Washington target doesn't value their POC customers. If the white girls don't want to work you won't be helped. Their manager has their back. Never shopping at target again. They resent POC with money. read more

this review is for Paris. I came in today with my grandma and he helped her through the whole process for setting up the tv and finding the perfect fit. Down right the best customer experience i've had & i know my grandmas a lot of deal with. he very good at his job and he actually cares about the customers needs and wants and is very knowledgeable about the electronic products they sell. This target consistently provides great service! I often wonder how they survive as it's never busy and has few staff members working- yet the registers never have lines and everyone is extremely pleasant. They normally have what we need and we like the great customer service we receive! read more

It is indeed a Target. It's kind of close to other shopping and restaurants I like. I do recommend that if you're going to buy a video game or movie here to make sure they give you the right movie. I once walked out with a different version of a Leog video game than I meant to buy. It was a hassle to return. read more

I shop at this Target at least once or twice a week. It's always clean and I've always received great customer service and help locating products I cannot find. However, they NEVER have the makeup I need in stock. Ever. NYX is always empty, so is Covergirl and Rimmel, etc. Where they keep the Ardell false lashes (well, ALL lashes) are always 90% sold out. And pretty much all the makeup (when I do find what I need) is opened and used or smeared over other products. Gross. That's pretty much the only complaint I have. They need to keep their makeup in stock especially a popular brand like NYX. I will be speaking to the manager today to ask why they are always out of stock, when their shipments are and if they would consider having an employee in the makeup aisle at all times so teenagers (eh-hem....we know it's you) don't go opening and trying on every color of lipstick known to man and not buying it so the product is un-purchasable. read more

03/24/15 @10:40pm near closing. I know, I don't usually shop this late but snuck out of the house because I saw they had Nerf darts on sale lol ... kids. Normally you get cranky customer services because it's near closing and they want you outa there.. but I was there with a purpose.. get as much Nerf Darts on sale that was avail... but available I did not see :( Thankfully a nice lady with Target helped me out by tracking down the item but the item have been renewed by the manufacturer so it did not look alike but is the same product with new design. Honored the sale price of the older version and additionally allowed Cartwheels 10% off on top. Scored? Yes.... along with great services near closing. I had my nephew and son get me a few items due to me being sick and they dropped my card very racist in all my years of shopping never had this problem to the point of my nephew and son felt uncomfortable and they are kids broke my heart I am done with target I will not give them my business this is America I will drive a mile up the street were they value customers thank goodness I have Walgreens near me but I will not step foot in the target in Kent no way I had to get out my sick bed to get my card they act as if my boys were lying gave the correct name and both boys were treated poorly read more

The worst Target I've ever been to. Things are just a mess. It's hard to find anything and I must've gone on a day where they were literally out of stock on everything (mainly clothes; women's and children's). Speaking of clothes, idk if it's target In general or just this target specifically, but the styles that are out in the women's section are awful; baggy, frumpy, juvenile, and just plan ugly. Fine if all you're looking for is rainy Saturday lounging clothes and you don't plan on leaving your house all day, but I was looking for regular people clothes with some taste. And usually Target has a wonderful selection. The dollar section here is the lamest section I've ever come across. And most of the bins were empty. It seems to always look this way when I visit. I've gone here because it's the closest to me, however, after today I'm just going to drive further to find a better Target. Anyway, usually when I walk into a target my reaction is "aahhhh, Target. :)". When I go here it's just a constant, "wtf???????" Rolling through my head. read more

A very nice place, not to noisy and not to quiet. But also staff are very independent and helpful around buying or looking customers. Also if you ask me target is a very organized store. The spot is a bit messy but easy to find things in some areas. Whoever is cleaning the bathroom is doing fantastic in fact it's so clean it looks like a new bathroom. First, let me say that I love Target. However, the store in at least the Kent location needs to address staffing. I have been to the Kent store 3 times in 2 months and each time there has been 1 very polite, but very stressed checker. The line for this lone checker stretches almost to the pharmacy aisle. The self checkout line is equally long. The self checkout line is not even a consideration for me because I am not an employee of Target. I opted to go to customer service the last two times where I was told they could check me out if I had 15 items or less. I had more. He advised very politely that self checkout lines move fast, after which I informed him I was not an employee of Target; he completely understood and checked out my cart. The employees were great under what I consider ridiculous staffing levels. Still love the store, but management needs to step up the quality of service and show their employees and customers they value them. read more

This is my first Yelp review ever. I live in the Kent area and never had issues with this store until today. I have not been in for awhile but the experience was awful. I went in to get a hoodie, staples, celery and heavy whipping cream. I went 1 for 4. I found the hoodie everything else was an empty shelf except the staples just did not exist in the office supply area I scoured. Just MIA. At checkout I was helped immediately as the young gal was not busy. I told her I could not find staples. She just politely said oh..... Pause..... Me: "ya kinda a basic office supply item"...Then she asked if I wanted her to ask someone..."yes that'd be great". A gal w green hair came over and asked what's up? I told her. She looked on her device and said it must be an online only item. "Staples, really?" Then she says "it looks like either we're low in stock or don't have any but they'd be in the office supply area." Me: "I looked there. Right by the staplers. There wasn't even an empty shelf or tag for refill staples that I saw." Then she asks me......wait for it....."if I checked in area C26?" ---I reply "uh...I don't know where C26 is, should I? What the actual he**? As if I would know the letter number code associated with the aisle of their store!!!!???? The cashier hands me my bags and the manager says "oh well that's where they'd be." So obviously you aren't going to help at all and go physically look where you believe they'd be-in aisle C26-so I grab my bags and say "thanks for all your help." NOT. As I looked around walking out I realized the store feels like it's going out of business. Empty walls in the cs area, store feels kinda empty, shelves unstocked, not many people in the store, Starbucks was dead too. Not one person in line. When I unloaded my items I found the kimchi jar that I added to my cart, was put in the same bag as my hoodie and not w the other food item. Really?! EPIC FAIL TARGET start to finish! I predict in the not so distant future that the physical retail store industry will drastically diminish and there will only be a handful of conglomerate type stores left. Normally don't write these types of reviews, but very disappointed. We are visiting from out of town and had to stop at the store for a few things. My first thought was let's go to target. We were not even asked once if we needed help, as we went through almost every aisle looking for what we needed. The employees were stocking shelves in almost every aisle! Some were talking to eachother and clearly saw us. One employee did apologize for the boxes being in the way. But that was the only employee that acknowledged us. If I could give negative 100 I would. Don't go here. I went there day before Xmas only to have an entire bag missing. Have spent a month fighting with a store that ignored me, then offered me$25 for $88 worth of missing product. Corporate doesn't care brushes you off to mail a complaint to another address. So don't shop at Target. I am a single Mom and it took away Xmas from one of my kids. I had to pull out of pocket to make up for it. Shop at Walmart, Fred Meyer, or another store that gives proper customer service. They won't give you a District Leaders number, only a phone number that doesn't care. This has been my go to Target for years. Who doesn't love Target? My only complaint is that the customer service is a hit or miss. There was a point a few years ago where I didnt go to the store for almost a tear because of a terrible experience with the manager. I had grabbed several products off a peg that was labeled a certain price. When I got to the register and noticed the price was much higher, I told them about the sign. The manager and I walked back, I pointed to where I found it, which still had several more items on it, and was told I "should have read the description. " Clearly they made an error by placing the wrong sign on the peg and they didnt have to honor the price if they weren't able to, but to tell me that I should have been reading the description when the font is smaller than normal. I went back eventually because its the closest one to home and I figured it would hurt to give them another shot. We went without issues for awhile until I dealt with the pharmacy. The girl behind the counter was rude. When asking about my prescription, I was given a very rude response and she was not tactful about her interaction. From my knowledge, you dont just loudly blurt out someone's prescription due to privacy laws. I avoided the pharmacy for awhile and have been incident free. A few months laterI then ordered an item online and selected it to be picked up in store. Days after I placed the order, the item still wasnt there, although it was available for same day pick up. They said they were never able to "get to it." It looks like they have gone through some staff changes lately. I still see some regulars that have been there for years, but there are a few who can care less about the job. I most recently had a girl ignore me and talk to the person behind about how long her day has been. After i gave her my ID for a purchase, she chucked it across the counter rather than handing it to me. There have been a few bad situations and well spaced out, but the bad has been unforgettable. My girlfriend works at the one in downtown and basically had to ring us up here by herself. she had to explain to the cashier what to do.... both times we went. I usually love Target but lately whenever I go in to get baby items they NEVER have what I need. I went in to get boy baby bottles with the spouts and they didn't have a single one and they didn't even have the replacements spouts either. All they had were bottles for girls. Then I have a credit card with them and I don't purchase with it unless it's an emergency, so I got a letter the other day stating that since I haven't used the card, that they are closing my account! How do you expect to keep customers if you threaten them about a credit card? Since this credit card issue I will NOT be going to Target anymore. I will spend my money elsewhere! read more

I went to this Target with my 93 year old mother to buy her a new cell phone and add her to my Consumer Cellular account. The man who deals with selling cell phones and signs them up for service with the various providers was great. His name is Son and he was very good at his job. We had problems porting her number from the old cellular provider and he knew exactly what to do and was patient and persistent in getting that accomplished.
