This review won't be structured how I normally structure it so please bear with me. Pacific furniture gallery is nestled in a plaza in Southcenter. My wife and I were shopping for a new couch last year and went to Macy's first, but didn't see anything we wanted. As we walked to the car, we saw a guy holding a sign for Pacific Furniture Gallery-- instead of going to lunch we just decided to go to the store. The employees here were extremely warm and welcoming, and after disclosing what we were looking for in a couch, we were shown an amazing Chaise that was customizable and had a top-notch warranty. We were instantly sold and purchased the couch. During the purchase process, we were told it would take between four and six weeks for delivery. This was in early December. After week seven, we had not heard anything from the store. We called were told us it would take some more time. I know just how much the global supply chain was affected by Covid so an extra week or two wasn't going to hurt. Unfortunately, this turned into a month long back-and-forth with the company, with them telling us it would be another week, every week, for roughly a month. My tolerance for pain is extremely high so I tried not to get too upset as to not somehow delay this couch even further. The couch did not come until after week 11, almost double of the max time it would take. The company did waive the delivery fee, which I truly appreciate, but had I known all this would happen, we would not have purchased. Looking at the other reviews, it seems delivery has always been an issue. To wrap up: Pros - We LOVE our new couch, and love how we were able to choose the fabric of the pillows and the couch itself. - The price of the couch, although high, is justified by the quality of the product. - Salespeople were really nice. Cons - Late delivery. It felt like there was always an excuse for the couch delay. Excuses for additional delay didn't feel genuine. - Communication issues post purchase. All in all, I give this place 3/5. Would not recommend for the average buyer, but if you are willing to drop extra cash, check out their offerings.

Non exsistent sales people & pushy sales people. Thank God we found this place. We walked in to a nice showroom of beautiful moderately priced quality furniture. Norene greeted us & asked us if she could help us. We told her what were looking for & she pointed us in the direction of a few couches that matched our needs. She then left us alone to look at them & discuss them. She returned at an appropriate time to see if we had any questions & to discuss the merits of the couch we liked. She said they were able to sell us those couches off the floor & deliver them in 4 days time! Wow! They were delivered on time by polite & professional delivery people. Yes there was a $125 delivery fee from Tukwila to our house near the UW. Well worth it for my husband to not have to drive down there & back twice in his truck that gets 8mpg.

Customers are encouraged to linger, ask questions, explore, and enjoy the snacks. We never felt pressured to buy a thing. We ended up having a wonderful and lengthy conversation with Paul, the manager, which made the visit even better! It was just a seriously nice day - it made me happy. I rarely feel that way when shopping! Although I suppose price is always in the eye of the beholder, we felt their prices were completely fair given the workmanship of the pieces. They know what they're doing. We returned the next day to buy a few beautiful pieces we're thrilled with, and felt like we'd gotten a really good deal and enjoyed ourselves in the process. They delivered them in perfect condition the following day. What more could one possibly want? In addition to the quality of the collection, what I loved most about this place was the unhurried, easy vibe...almost a throwback to another time. This is a special place, and we'll be back.

Here is what went wrong. First, they did not keep me updated on delivery date/time. Second, my molding was ruined during delivery. Third, during delivery, I asked the guys if they could also remove my coffee table and rug, which they did no problem. ... I then got a call from the store "just to let me know" that I caused a huge inconvenience by asking them to take the rug and coffee table. I was scolded. I was so taken aback that I didn't even respond. Ruined my day. I would not recommend this store. Couches are great.

Sleepers In Seattle…read more FFF Rating with Better Business Bureau I needed to purchase a new sofa bed for my RV, and so I contacted Sleepers in Seattle (SLEEPERS) because I had previously purchased a Stanton 200 Sofa Bed from them back in 2017. It was a wonderful sofa bed. I was also aware that back then, SLEEPERS had been cited by several newspaper and magazine articles as being an outstanding customer service retailer. I looked at several swatch samples, reviewed price information, and made a phone call to SLEEPERS to begin the purchase process. First off, the website had 2 different prices which were off by about $200 if I remember correctly. Called and talked to a woman who said they were having updates to their website, but that she could honor the lower price. She sent me an online signature form with details, and I signed it without incident. I said to her that I did not need the standard mattress that came with the purchase, and so that specific information was referenced on the form that I signed. She charged me $1959 using my credit card. At the time of my purchase, their website indicated that 6-10 weeks would be needed for the sofa bed to reach me. Because I had done business with them previously and was then pleased with how things went, I waited 6 weeks to contact them in order to request an update as to how much longer I would need to wait before my sofa bed would at least begin the shipment process. I called and spoke with a female who seemed to enjoy talking about how computer savvy she was, and as she was apparently looking into their computer system to check on the status of my order. Her verbage was along the lines of: "Umm, gee, hmm, well, I don't know, umm, let me get back to you on this". She told me I would get an update in a day or two. Three days go by, and I did not get a call back, so I call again. This time, I get some smart ass office clerk who was arrogant, evasive, and clearly not helpful or polite. He hung up on me. The female called me back, we talked for about 10 minutes, and she told me that the manager had called to ask the manufacturer to speed up the process. She said things like, "they needed to order new fabric", "your sofa bed is being processed", "we'll email you and let you know when it is ready", etc. Three or four more days go by, and I get an email from the female stating that the sofa bed should be finished within 10 days. But then it has to be inspected, and that can take another 10 days. Two weeks go by, and nothing, so I send an email, and her response states that the sofa bed was finished, but they didn't know when it would be released. Becoming increasingly disappointed and concerned, I sent an email telling her that 10 weeks had gone by and also giving her another week to start the shipping process; otherwise, I would dispute the charge with my credit card company. The female replies that their website "CLEARLY" indicated that it could take 10 to 14 weeks for fulfillment. Subsequently, I performed an historic search of their website. The search clearly showed that they had changed the 6-10 weeks to 10-14 weeks AFTER I placed the order. So she lied, as she had obviously lied on a few other occasions. However, the ultimate consumer insult occurred a few days later when the female sent me an email saying that they were cancelling my order. So after about 11 weeks of waiting, calling, emailing and being lied to in the face, SLEEPERS IN SEATTLE RUINED THINGS FOR MY WIFE AND ME. Their behavior has obviously degraded significantly because of a lack of competence and customer caring that apparently been supported by owner and management. Stay away from these people. Go elsewhere. They are incompetent, arrogant, lying, deceitful individuals who have no business being in the retail sales industry. They have an F Rating with the Better Business Bureau, and my experience simply adds to the abysmal failure of these people to treat people with respect.

St. Vincent de Paul thrift stores aren't my favorite -- I've never had particularly good luck…read morethere, the inventory never seems great, and their regular prices often seem high (perhaps to offset their 50% off storewide sales). So I hadn't gone out of my way to visit this store until I happened to be in the area... and nothing about it changed my mind. This store is off the beaten path, but it is pretty large inside. It's basically like a warehouse inside, with cement floors and not much personality. Unfortunately, like many St. Vinnie's, the store felt understocked. The wall of purses had just a few hanging up, and there were large open spaces between the underfilled racks. Maybe I'm just used to Goodwill, where the racks are filled to overflowing, but it felt somewhat sad and picked-over, especially in the housewares section. (They were having a 50% off sale that day, so I'm sure it *was* fairly depleted at that point.) The one area where I think St. Vinnie's stores DO excel is their books. They tend to have large book/media areas with surprisingly new, good titles, often hardcovers, for good prices -- and they're a bargain at 50% off. But this store's book selection was not as good as other stores, and I didn't find anything I wanted to buy, even at half off. So, overall, not one of the better St. Vinnie's in the​ area, and not one that I'd go out of my way to come back to.
