TJ Maxx is a discount retailer selling products that are overstocked. Shampoos and beauty products are generally better priced than Sephora, Nordstrom or the salons if you find a product you like. The store carries some off brands and selection changes often, not a place where you can necessarily fall in love with a certain product and expect it to be stock the next time you go. Store locations vary in the quality of products and brands. Recommend stopping by a few to check them out. Some stores are messy, others are neat. Before being injured today at TJMaxx, it was 1 of my fav. Managers Jackie and Nicole at the Kent location shiwed no compassion after I fell on bath salt that had been left on the floor. No one asked me was I hurt, if I needed an ambulance or help getting home. They made me wait for 30 minutes for a manager that never came. Even after asking for an apology,neither manager provided one. Instead, Nicole told me "Have a good day", although I left with injuries to my body. I will no longer shop at this location. read more

I am an avid TJ Maxx shopper and this location doesn't cut it for me. There is such a limited home goods section literally a few shelves per each category and I can't find any variety when looking for something. For example: I came here to buy oven mitts and there were only 3-5 types of oven mitts with basic designs and I ended up leaving without buying oven mitts. There is sometimes a lot of items on clearance but it's really a luck of the draw. There are also sometimes some good apparel options but when I come to a TJ Maxx I'm looking to be able to browse a variety of everything. Also, the bathrooms are locked and good luck trying to find an employee on the floor. read more

My fiancé and I stopped by looking for chairs since we are relocating and drove the distance to check this store. He is a profesional and was dressed casual yet the security guy kept following him around the store as if my man's only purpose was to steal home decorations lol. I found that very disrespectful as implying the only reason he was there was to steal. Not sure if the guard was profiling but he was on my man's behind and whenever he moved, this weird man would follow him. We saw 4 chairs and decided not to get them. Then I decided to grab a bowl to match another one we had at home but once in line, we noticed it had defects. We gladly put it down and left the store. The Ken't store has a nasty parking lot and even a cop parked outside another store nearby. If you don't know the areas like we did, avoid Kent! Stick to Woodinville like we do. read more

This store is ok, I dont know about the clothing options and the toys. But its a nice store for home decor. The customers service is... Not the best I will say. The place has very dry options for clothing and toys, The toys just look broken and aged. They dont look the best. The clothing is horrendous, It doesnt look like and effort was put into the clothing idea its just not my style. Honestly most of the things I buy from here I think will be useful but they break after like what, I week? Or I lose it. This TJ Maxx is convenient and parking is easy. I have never had a bad experience here and staff is always friendly. It's not a place I go to for clothing. When I come in here, I'm usually looking to purchase puppy toys and/or accessories. They also have a great selection of kitchen towels, which I use to wrap wine bottles in as presents. Ive been shopping in this place a lot now. I would love to shop to this store since it's close to me but the problem is that they don't even open their restroom for customers . You think you would shop for long hours here and buy alot of stuff specially it's Xmas season, but you have to go to other place to use the bathroom. That suck! So that's just my opinion . read more

I got 7-8 clearance items, at the check out cashier (by the name Vivian) took ALL red clearance tags off the items and scanned original price. I stood there in disbelief as cashier Vivian peeled all red tags off. My friend got different cashier and she scanned red tags for her. This is crazy! Never seen anything like it! If I knew that she is going to take red tags off, I would newer spend my time trying it on. I end up paying full price, for the items from clearance section. read more

This morning I had a very pleasant experience here at the Kent TJ Maxx... I was able to shop in peace, before the Christmas crowd. That is, until it was check-out time. I was being checked-out by a very pleasant young woman, when we experienced the need for a price check. There was an MOD (manager on duty) not more than 10ft away from us, while the friendly cashier tried to rally any help for a price check. It was a simple body care item that was nothing more than 10ft away from the same MOD, yet she ignored us and she instead decided to frantically look for "spiders" (aka security device systems designed for cds, dvds, and video games) right under the friendly cashier. She then left these items on the counter and walked away. I commend T.J. Maxx for hiring mentally challenged people as their Managers On Duty, but I highly recommend that they include a secondary manager with more mental capacity. Overall experience was 3 because of this. I would give one star, but when I called back to verify a policy and ask why I was discriminated against; the manager was very nice. They have shopping carts you could use; but apparently when it comes to fitting rooms, they pick and choose who can take a shopping cart inside. I wouldn't mind leaving my cart,but I have 2 little kiddos that need to be in a cart. I asked the associate several times politely can I please can my cart my kiddos need to be in there. She gave me attitude and no reason and basically wouldn't let me in. When speaking with the manager it's ok to take a cart with you inside...the employee just felt like I would steal. If anyone would steal they would bring a stroller...how can you hid things in a cart. read more

I usually love TJ's, but this one is a hole. Staff is friendly enough but I'm not a fan of the inventory. Every other store I have been to stocks similar goods with familiar labels, but I saw hardly anything like that here. I brought back a pair of pants that completely fell apart after the first washing and they wouldn't take them back because it had been a month and a half. TJM you need to train your staff better. A benefit of the doubt goes a long way towards keeping or losing a good customer. You just lost me and all of my friends who were also big spenders at TJM. I work in retail and know the difference between good customer service and when you should just find a new job. while I was being rang up, the woman ringing me up was speaking a difference language to another employee which is extremely rude. then while taking the security tag off she ripped the sweater...instead of apologizing and asking to grab me another she said "you still want this?" uh...not for full price! she made me step out of line, while holding it up i had to frantically grab another sweater...which is hard to find considering its not your typical department store. without finding one, i went back up. finished my order and left. never have i seen such careless behavior there. read more

I live in Kent WA and I live next to your Kent TJ Max. Sometime summer 2018 your company has installed a new alarm which is motion sensored and triggers a loud high pitch noise. It is very loud and last for sometimes hours on end. I have called and spoke with seeperate managers almost 4 times. They have assured me that they are having someone come to look at the system and that it is is fixed but yet here I am. It is 4:57am on a a Friday morning and your alarm has been in for almost an hour. I felt I needed to go further than the currant management because the issue is has not been fixed. Maxx in Kent Wa. is the most lean store you will see in comparason to the other thrift shops around kent and renton and south center (tukwila area) The sister companies not so much. like at the renton landing Marshalls is shity and so in the one in Tukwila by south center.. super messy. COSTUMER SERVICE is great and have had a long standing team there. Most of the employees have been here for years.. so its nice to see a familiar face every time you come to shop. Went to TJMaxx, I didn't get a cart because I only went for 1 item, ended up with an arm full. An employee that was working the jewelry counter brought me a cart. Sometimes a little act of kindness means so much. It made my day to encounter someone that was so thoughtful. read more

I would give 4 stars considering I'm a frequent shopper at TJ Maxx until I was rudely discriminated against yesterday. Went in to return a product that was just sitting in my car, misplaced receipt but could prove the purchase through my credit card and the cashier asked me why I brought the product in the first place... excuse me?
