Employee named karen that works here is absolutely wonderful!! She will pretend to not hear you when youre rught behind her asking fir help and she'll look at you like youre stupid if you ask her a simple question and she will rudely reply and make a snarky face at you. Great place for customer service!!! We also waited for maybe twenty minutes by the display to see if the button we pressed for assistance would work. (It clearly works because she came as soon as someone else pressed it but she ignored him at first too.) then we went to go look for someone and we were redirected to go see Ms. Karen for the item in the locker. We saw her conversing with a coworker happily drinking juice. She then took us back exactly to where she had rudely left us, opened the locker and took us back to the register in electronics where we paid. read more

My wife and I go to this Walmart weekly for our groceries. We love Walmart for their affordable prices. They have the best discounts from my experience. We get all of our grandchildren gifts and snacks from here every holiday season. The kids love it. The lines at check out may be long from time to time, but it's to be expected. We've had a mixture of good and mediocre customer service from the employees here, but overall, I would still rate this store 5 stars for the good times and the great prices. Thank you. read more

This Walmart does not have a photo center, and for that they get five stars! I had a rough experience ordering holiday photos cards at a different Walmart. (Long story short, they were out of envelopes and were like "here's those photos you want to mail, good luck.") The guy suggested that I drive around to other Walmarts in the area, explain what happened and that store would give me envelopes ... if they had any. One of the stores he suggested was Bloomington, which is close to where I work. So I drove there the next day on my quest for envelopes, only to learn that they don't have a photo center, so they obviously do not have envelopes. But I randomly ran into a store manager, who made some calls and found envelopes for me. Appreciate you going above and beyond to more than make up for the incompetence of an employee at another store. read more

This is a Walmart, therefore the prices are reasonable and the expectations are not too high as far as the shopping experience is concerned, but, oh dear, this place is almost in a league of its own. This Walmart is ghetto as heck! The food section is the majority of the store the other departments you are used to at other Walmart are substantially smaller at this location. If you are African-American or Latino you will be happy with their hair, skincare and makeup selection but... There is a security guard at the entrance, there is an interesting fragrance at the entrance and you will be lucky if there is more that one human manned register open. There are over 10 self check registers open; however, the lines for those are into the produce area they are so long. If you can, drive 5 miles to the next closest Walmart. If I could give 0 stars I would. I have shopped at this location for 18 years and recently it's gone to pot. The store is a mess, things are out of place (found frozen bananas in the frozen vegetables, a Holiday Cookie Kit next to the baking soda) and just now while trying to enjoy my roast beef sub from the deli, a penny fell out of the sandwich! Yes a cold penny! No answer at Deli, Electronics, Pharmacy, Pick-up, or to "speak with an associate" It's disgusting and someone, other than me, is damn lucky I didn't bite into that penny. I give it one Star due to the fact they had Grape crystal lite. A flavor I had not seen before. I usually shop at target but work brought me here today. A couple of weeks ago there were myler balloons trapped in an air vent for about a month. Today this womens toilet was repulsive and ewww nasty. Their clearance area has no good deals. Clearance after Christmas was only 75% at end of January. Too bad I have to frequent this place for work. No real good deals $5 something for a bowl of pineapple. Really? read more

For the love of God, this is a Wal-mart! We were here because it was close to our hotel and it's cheap. This one had a huge amount Hispanic merchandise. Even a bin for chili peppers. We didn't find it to be the end of the world. We got the food we needed and did self check out. We didn't find anything horribly wrong with it. The only injustice was our pop corn was mispriced. Other than that, it's the same as every other Wal-mart. read more

Every time we come here they only have 2 or 3 lanes open, it takes 20 minutes or more to checkout. Currently I'm in the longest line I've ever seen here or at any Walmart not to mention during holiday season and there is 2 lanes open. We've been here 15 minutes and I fear we may never make it to the end. Unless you wanna be trapped waiting to checkout I highly suggest going to a different store read more

This review is for the pharmacy. I arrived at 8:50PM in a panic that the pharmacy would close at 9 before I could fill my prescription. The pharmacist I worked with was SO NICE! Since I was traveling, my prescription had been filled elsewhere in California, so he picked up the phone and had them release it back into stock so he could fill it there. Just the nicest and caring person ever, and for that alone, you get 5 stars. read more

I really like shopping here since they remodeled. They offer great prices for their groceries although the selection for some types of items is limited. Still, it feels like more of an authentic grocery store experience than at Target. We were pleasantly surprised by some of the superior values we found in the meat department. I have always liked the idea of shopping for household goods and groceries at the same time and I think Walmart comes closest for me to realizing this goal. The only problem that I have had at Walmart is the attitudes of some employees. I have seen open conflict between employees or between a manager and an employee. I think these issues are unique to this location as I have not experienced these types of issues at other Walmart locations where I have shpped around the country. read more

Well it's Walmart... cheap prices but weird clientele, per usual. This is a 24-hour store (I think most of them in the Twin Cities metro area are), so if you need to shop at an odd hour they are open. Do not, I repeat, do not try shopping here after 8:30pm. If you like shopping at night but value your safety, go to the Burnsville Walmart instead. Once I came here (Bloomington Walmart) around 9:00 after I got done working out at the gym, and there was a group of maybe 5 weird people just meandering around the store, talking loudly to each other, not there to shop, just to hang out. Seriously? Maybe it does clear out around midnight like another reviewer said, I don't know, I haven't dared go there any later because I'd be too scared to shop alone too late at night. 3 stars for average; I like the low prices on toilet paper, dish soap, household stuff, and food, but not a big fan of the crazy clientele in the store. read more

Why is it so hard for employees to be nice! Coming from a retail management background I would think at least there would be training on a little bit of customer service. I'm not asking for much just a smile at least. I feel like I'm bothering them when they're standing around in a group and that I am in their way. It's ridiculous. The only saving grace was the greeter smiled and thanked me when I was leaving. I will drive 30 minutes farther just to go to a different store. Meh. As far as Wal-Marts go this one is about average. There's a subway and optical center within it. There's also produce that's reasonably fresh. Bathrooms haven't been that clean when I've visited but satisfactory I guess. They seem to have snacks catered towards the hispanic demographic which is cool. When we were checking out in the express lane the cashier turned away someone that clearly had more than the allowed quantity. Both the cashier and customer were courteous though. Overall, seems like a good place to get a deal if you don't mind the bare bones shopping ambiance. read more

Quick in and out. Asked employees to direct me to aisle H. Instead, they asked me what I was looking for exactly and took me there themselves. They were also joking around with eachother until I asked for help. They were not rude. Really helpful. New store is SO much better. There are some cashiers that are REALLY bad --but once you go there enough you will be able to pin point them and move to the next line. The worst part of the store is the clientele and the crowds of people. It tends to be busy all the time. Edit: Im down grading my review for this walmart. There is some bizarre situation where all the good employees are only there for a month..then leave; yet the WORST employees end up staying FOREVER. I don't understand...most of these employees seem like they would be a nightmare for the manager, however, they continue to employed. Really weird. i went here looking for lighters pretty simple right? i dead ass asked 6 employees where they are and only one answer was barely helpful the first employee didn't understand half of what i was saying and told me to ask a cashier the second guy i asked looked at his phone for a minute before answering and when he did he just said other side of the store which was barely helpful third employee interrupted me and said she was going to clock out which i get and the fourth employee when i asked him he just said "no" fifth employee said to ask the employee across from him and she said she doesn't know overall pretty shitty store never go here unless you know where everything is read more

I don't even know what to say. I went in to return an item. I was sent to a register manned by a man named Messanvi. There were two people in line in front of me and it took nearly a half an hour to get out. He chatted with the first guy in line about phone cards for about 10 minutes before even paying attention to the next guy. He then started helping the next man, but was very distracted and spent a lot of time just staring at the product he was returning. Then a female co-worker came near and Messanvi was totally distracted. He chatted with her for about 3-4 minutes and offered her some gum. Completely ignoring the person he was helping. At this point the man in line in front of me asked him if it was his first day, because he seemed so confused. He dismissed him quickly. When he finally finished with that guy, he stared at my item for several minute sand asked really odd questions, as well as acting conmpletely confused and slow. He had a really hard time determining wether to give me cash back or credit, when I paid cash for the item originally. Bottom line, the guy was either way too unintelligent to do his job, or he was intoxicated in some way. I will never return to this location now that I know their hiring standards. read more

My family shops here a few times a month. I have come to expect plenty of customers, limited lanes and witnessing the regular shoplifter apprehension, but overall we get great deals on toiletries, meat, yogurt and baby items. If I'm not in the mood to deal with the crowds, I zip over to cub. We enjoy the occasional markdowns here. My husband appreciates the sanitizer wipes for the carts too. I do agree that this place is a little dirty, and the people shopping there are the dregs of society, but, for what it is, I can't complain. They have cheap stuff, and I will shop here. On a side note, I agree that the employees here are more useless than trying to escape third class when the Titanic sank. But, they now have a self-checkout area that takes care of that problem. In times past, I've had to wait for excruciating amounts of time in line to check out. On one visit, I was waiting for twenty minutes in a line while some trashy, high, tattooed girl was trying to cash her check at the counter, which I guess you can do. First of all if I could do less than one star I would because let's start with the front when you walk in the floors look like the workers haven't cleaned / wiped / moped them in years!!! Also as I was going down the chips aisle there was a pack of HOTDOGS ON THE FLOOR!!!!!!!!!!!!! I saw at least 3 workers walk right by the hotdogs and didn't bother to even try to do something about it. Service was horrible there was everything just everywhere looking at clothes you might find lettuce and the thing that bugs me the most is that they have so many employees but they don't do a thing I don't know how they make business it looks more like they hire workers to look pretty if no one worked there it wouldn't look much different that is how bad it was!!! Terrible Walmart, I tried to return some gift clothing and because my ID was a Wisconsin Drivers License, the customer service said the computer wouldn't accept it, she called the Supervisor and he wouldn't even look at her terminal, just stated I needed a MN drivers license. I mean we still live in America don't we, just because I'm visiting from WI, my valid Driver's license should be as good as any other state. I think the lady helping me didn't know how to key in the info right, and the man Supervisor was too lazy to even straighten anything out. So I had to leave with my wrong size clothing for my son, who lives here and go back home to WI to do my exchange. read more
