I went to buy a ps5 pro with money my father gave me. It was cash and $100 bills and so they did the marker test. It passed it however, they called in another sales associate to look at it and after they played with the bills for a while they thought one of the ribbons looked funny. They denied it and told me to bring the cash to a bank. I brought the money to USbank and the bills of course were not counterfeit. They have that marker especially to check that but they decided not to trust it and made me run to the bank. I used my debit card so I would not have to make two trips but if they can't accept or tell what real cash is then they need some retraining. read more

T1, the first Target, is a cool place for a quick visit. If you're a big Target fan, this Super Target will not disappoint! The place is huge and there are so many varieties of everything, from a long bread aisle, to the bakery section, and the little Ulta Beauty inside. There's also a separate small section for Wine and Liquor, which was cool, though, the selection was small. I've had many bad experiences at this store, but this last one earlier today is the nail in the coffin. I refuse to go back and shop at a store where I am being treated like a criminal. As previously stated, earlier today I shopped here and went through self check out. I've scanned and paid for my stuff already and while I'm waiting for my wife to finish scanning her stuff I see in the corner of my eye the self check out clerk eyeing down my bags as if I had stolen something. I get a little agitated as she's not even trying to make it discreet that she's trying to spy on me. As my wife is about to pay for her items I ask the clerk if she could unlock the security tag off one of the item. She then proceeds to ask me "Has this been scanned yet" after spending the entire time there just eyeballing us. This item is $5, not a tv. Her job is to assist the customer, not be security. All in all just a horrible experience. If you want to get discriminated and be treated like a criminal then this is the place to be, if not then try somewhere else. read more

After spying the ridiculously long line at the US postal office I decided to run to Target to waste some time and then go back. My wife and I were here on a rare Saturday Roseville Target after visiting my sister in the northern suburbs. This Target is located where the original Target was. They rebuilt it as a SuperTarget with food and everything. Good looking store! The place was hopping! My wife went on the list and I went to get a large Diet Coke we could split while shopping. Teamwork! I caught up with her in the chip aisle and threw some awesome chip goodness in the basket and got a good looking can of potato and cheddar soup that actually didn't look too bad for you. We checked out and had a ton of coupons, we picked up some iTune cards which happened to be on sale, with the 5% off from the Target card, not a bad deal. Our checkout guy was pretty chatty, which was kind of fun. He seemed genuinely interested in how we were doing. A nice touch. I love seeing a busy Target, and this place was packed! read more

I missed the BIG markdown sales of mid July --out of state helping family. But this week racing to this store Midway and Inver Grove Heights finding FABULOUS buys, i have NEW respect for Target Buyers. Today i went to Macy's Roseville after an Apple Genius appt ( best in town). In Macy's INC manufacturer section, i examined everything. Tried on many items-- some prices 70% off like Target. ( years ago, right out of college i was fortunate to become a personal shopper for the entire store in NYC Bloomingdales-- then changed careers going into food and industrial products classic mktg) Conclusions: Target truly knows their customer base. They KNOW we don't have money to waste. Fabrics MUST hold up in the wash. Colors can't bleed and ruin the entire load. They have studied body contours and worked with their manufacturers on waist bands that can give in an unnoticed way, subtle flairs, CORRECT width by size giving us JUST enough space without looking huge. They know lengths, thigh size, etc etc. They have also learned a LOT about textiles having had many pieces from last summer's collection that used a gauzy crepe like synthetic fabric, shrink drastically after one wash. And THEN... to find these great great basic pieces in cooling flowing soft easy fabrics at ROCK BOTTOM PRICES..... shocking!!!! SO many pieces in INC at Macy's fit TERRIBLY. I have bought this line for years! Shocked. Price points triple and more to Target. But the quality of construction and fit was a DISASTER!!! Wow. At Target, my favorite pieces: Thin light flowing WIDE palazzo style pants in a linen weave of fabric with a soft elastic 3 inch deep waist band, black white or light camel ( bought 2 black 1 camel. Beautiful wide palazzo striped pants with waist band ( little elastic in back hidden by a long attractive sash in the same linen synthetic fabric in a slightly washed black and thin lined stripes in off white. A matching GREAT scoop spaghetti strap ( interesting back strap design) makes the pieces together look AMAZING -- elegant , slightly sexy, long look, simple DISTINCTIVE. And SO cool in humid weather. Baby doll type deep scoop with a tie knot in front mid bra spaghetti straps in white tiny dots on black in a perfect thin stretchy jersey with a great cotton feel, spaghetti straps perfect torso width by size. Very sexy not trampy. Simple cut, Also came in rose. Great black leggings -- long, thick cotton stretchy soft fabric super comfortable with slanted panels of fabric across the front of the leg creating a dynamite modern geometric feel . And many more surprising great pieces. Many prints this year and the Knox Rose collection were a disappointment -- muddy colors, old looking dated patterns , Not very attractive. The Knox Rose collection 2 years ago was spectacular. This year the tops were way too short and WAY to wide puffy -- NOT slimming nor attractive. ( i am SO tired of manufacturers cutting tops narrow at the arm pit then flaring out wide at the base. We look like umbrellas!!) What happened to tops that were cut straight at the sides, not too fitted, and longer -- definitely a slimming silhouette. Colors were too washed out, getting boring. Bit too ingenue and cutesy. Old old hippy look. Too many years of the same styles from Knox Rose. What happened to their refreshing pieces of 2 years ago? They need to be creative, more modern, transitional. But the Target brands this season really won big! read more

Compared to other Super Targets, I definitely prefer this one! It carries pretty much everything one could ever need, without being unnecessarily large. In other words, I don't find myself endlessly walking from one side of the store to another. Throughout the month, my girlfriend and I have been slowly been moving. When it came time to throw away ugly crap that didn't match our new digs, we realized our new space needed accessorizing. Enter, Super Target. Gigantic contemporary style lamp at a wallet-friendly cost? Check. Plush bathroom mats that are cozy on the twinkle toes? Check. Cheap bins that store paper to help organize your work-life from home? Also, check. Plus, the parking lot isn't as chaotic as others. Would I return to this Super Target? Absolutely. read more

A super large Target. By the time I parked in the external lot and walked to the back N.W. corner of the store I felt as though I had nearly accomplished my 'steps' for the day, well not quite. This store which I believe is in the location of the first Target, but has been completely rebuilt and faces County Rd B W rather than Snelling, but I digress. There are always plenty of checkers on hand so there is little waiting. We hear about the grocery sections not having enough variety and product shortages, but this location has far more items, especially produce than their other stores and the response from the customers indicates this store's format is a success. read more

Minnesotans justifiably have a love/hate relationship with Target. On one hand, as the spawn of the Dayton Hudson corporation they are just another main-street-killing/soul-sucking big box purveyor of made in China sweatshop crap. On the other hand as the spawn of the richest man in Minnesota, Mark Dayton, they are one of the things that put us on the map. Think of Target as the Prairie Home Companion of retailers. Every time I go to Target, which is quite frequently, I'm nearly run over by some dazed person leaving the parking lot who is trying to figure out how she just spent over $100 on rubbermaid totes and bath rugs when she just went in for razor blades. Really how does that frakkin' happen? I blame the big, big carts. This particular Target is the UrTarget, the first store in the nation. It is within walking distance of my house and when the weather is nice I've taken the boy there in the stroller to do the dreaded diaper run. Since they remodeled it's not as good as the food has taken over more of its fair share of the space, I think. It seems like the product is more crowded and less well organized than it was. Still, this Target has a really great Toy section, make up area (I can get lost for hours in either one of these) that I'm not going to quibble about the fact that they've now hopelessly blended and inter-mixed the misses and junior clothing sections to the point of insanity. They always have items in stock in a wide variety of colors, styles, sizes, etc. In fact, I would say that this particular Target has one of the larger women's clothing sections as well as electronics. Which are two of my favorite sections. The employees are typically friendly and fast at their roles. I have rarely met a grumpy employee (not that their aren't) and one lady even remembers me at the express lane. Which is a nice unexpected surprise in a larger city at a larger Target. Plus, this is where the original Target once stood - so you're kinda walking on historic Target grounds . . . haha. read more

Here's Why: -Parking; getting in & out of the lot is always a hassle & for whatever reason, people tend to have difficulty parking here. -it's always busy. There could be a full on Sharknado & people would still make the trip here just because. -Consistently out of stock of standard grocery & toiletry staples. -Checking out takes forever! It's Target, so it's great. The only thing they are missing is almond butter. I'm a total cheapskate, and their grocery prices are often the same as Aldi. So even though I totally feel indulgent and overly-convenieced by going here (I need a computer, robot Bigfoot, some hairdye, and Chee-tos. Awesome.), I don't spend anymore than at my cheapo stores. Two racist f*ck didn't want to help me because I'm Asian. The other day I went in to buy a cell phone. The guy at the counter saw me and look like he has seen a ghost. He extended his arms to hand me the phone while arching his body backward so he won't get close to me. He spoke very fast so that the interaction could be over. Rushed to help another customer and spoke to him right by his side. I called in today to see if they could help me activate it; someone at the counter said yes. I went in but he said to me that he cannot activate it at this time; with a face full of fear, and told me to move aside because he needs to help the next customer. It was so awkward and weird and everyone just watched. Should of have smack him right in the face. Just because I'm Asian doesn't mean that I have the corona virus. Great seats but RIGHT in front of the speaker. Makeshift earplug using paper from the program and.....you guessed it, the plug got stuck deep in my ear canal. Came to this super target to try the old peroxide trick and stumbled upon this clinic. 15 minutes later I can hear again and I don't have to wait in some awful ER feeling like a dope. The PA was a sweetheart and didn't make too much fun of me. Cool checkin process using a touch screen (instead of pages of forms in small print) which took all of 3 minutes. I took my sick fiance there for what was pretty clearly a sinus infection, and we paid $60 for him to be seen by a nurse-practitioner for less than 10 minutes. He'd been sick for five days already, but she said it wasn't a sinus infection until he'd been sick for 12-14 days. She suggested we return after another week and then maybe she'd prescribe an antibiotic. And pay another $60 for 10 minutes of her precious time?! So after being out our sixty bucks, her advice was that we purchase a neti pot. The nurse practitioner's name was Kendra Hackney - I've never seen someone do a less thorough exam in my life. My advice: if you're a person who gets sick, move to Canada. read more
