This mirror caught my eye...sorry about things around it, just had ceiling painted. It's newer and in perfect shape.

I was so excited to find ReStore. I'm from Denver and went to the Habitat store a lot. I always say...you could build a house from what you find here! The front has lovely things for inside, the back for building. You never know what you will find!

Donated kitchen cabinets and some furniture to the ReStore. Very easy to do and driver was great.

Be sure to keep an eye out for the hot deals - flooring (including my new rug) was an extra 10% off which was great!

Wow! This place has some cool stuff. I will be back for more. They had some things I've never…read moreseen before. Things I may not need, but definitely want. They also have lots of things I really do need. I took lots of photos so that I can think about some of the things that caught my eye. Also, the service there was first rate. I was very pleased and glad that I found the perfect desk chair before someone else bought it.

Love this place. Don't go there cuz you might buy something I want…read more I bought two Eames vintage chairs, a vintage stainless steel rolling cart so we can put stuff on it (coffee, liquor, food) and roll it around the house. I also bought two vintages designer lights and a couple pieces of glass labware to put cocktails in and put on the rolling cart to roll around the house (see above). I also bought a very cool looking gumball machine where you push down a little lever and a gumball comes out.** **I have put real gumballs and M&M peanuts in this thing and it has yet to spit out a gumball. It's pretty cool, though. OK, these guys have vintage cocktail glasses and shakers (do you see a problem here?) and more labware that I might buy. And a couple great vintage stands from a chemistry lab that has lots of clamps for test tubes. I'm trying to justify this one. My god!! They have two gigantic overhead light fixtures on rolling frames. If you live in one of those hoity-toity warehouses there is no excuse not to buy these. O, VINYL RECORDS YOU PEOPLE. SOUNDTRACK ALERT!! Endless Boogie was playing on their sound system. New favorite band. Ba-bump ba-bump ba-bump (Jaws) they are only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from about noon on.

As loving parents, we want to help them furnish their home with furniture they will cherish. Repurpose Republic has the best stuff and the best prices in the city. I know, because we spent all day checking out consignment stores in every nick and corner of the Twin Cities. (They're certainly not identical twins!) The proprietor Doug is engaging and informative. He has an eye for a pieces that are architectural beauties. Yet, he can also turn that basement throw away into something that should be displayed in the Museum of Modern Art. Repurpose Republic is the kind of place you want to return to often, just to see what new beauty shows up on the showroom floor. Unfortunately, Repurpose Republic was our first stop, and I was exhausted with all the wasted hours visiting other consignment stores. Save yourself some time and just "hit up" Repurpose Republic. It's the best.

I'm new to NE and happened to spot a post about this store on the I Love NE Mpls Facebook group and…read morehave been wanting to hunt it down. While driving past after hanging out with my mom, I slammed in my brakes and whipped a U-ee. Lucky me with my good parking juju, I was able to pull in right out front. I love a good repurpose store and now living in NE I'm in need of some lighting that fits the whole cool Nordeast vibe. This store is chock full of mid century/retro/some redesigned stuff all without that old people basement smell. (Thank God!) This place has more mid century lamps in one store than I've ever seen in my life!! There are a few super groovy ones that would be a blast to have just for conversation it would conjure up all on its own. The con: maybe it's my jacked up NE Mpls rent I'm now paying or my lack of experience on the cost of retro lighting but I'm not sure I can afford these prices. Boo...because I had a good 5 different lamps/lamp sets that my heart was pitter-patterning over. I was able to chitchat with the owner for a bit before there was a sudden Saturday afternoon rush that poured in. I had asked "if it was consignment? Just him buying/reselling? Buy from others that bring things in off the street?" He responded with "All three" and let me know that he also has some local artist work displayed for sale as well. (Ya, this girl is totally into the whole "support local" thing!) I'll definitely be back to see what cools finds get added...and probably be back for a few lamps...after payday.

We love the style of scandinavian design furniture. I…read moreusually do not post reviews. Here is our experience. We purchased the Holfred dining set and side board for our dining room. After 6 mo the tables showed signs of warping in the wood. We also had weird spots start showing up on the top of the sideboard (it was always covered with a piece of custom glass). Mike the store manager was so understanding and helpful and let me exchange it for a different piece (we did have the extended warranty). Then, we went back and bought another table for our kitchen. We purchased the Oliver. Once it was delivered, it just didn't look right in our kitchen. And when we fully extended it with the leaf, there was large gap in the middle and it was very noticeable. We went into this store within two days and stated we would like to exchange it for something else. Sam was obliged to do so, although we were told we had to pay a 20% stocking fee. We did end up exchanging for a different table at scandinavian design, but we did end up having to pay a $300 restocking fee. Seems excessive especially if you're exchanging becuase of a product your not satisfied with. So my advice is to make sure you ask them to open it if there's a leaf and really, really pay attention to the quality before you bring it home. We will still continue to buy from there.Although I will pay more attention to those aspects.

I found some beautiful leather-like low profile dining chairs at Scandinavian Designs. The price was surprisingly reasonable for the quality - we have received quite a few comments from guests about how comfortable they are! This will definitely be our first stop the next time we need to shop for new furniture. One star off because there was no one around to assist me in lifting chairs down from a rack so I could test them out. Being pregnant at the time, it was something I would have appreciated help with!
