My favorites are the old books downstairs and, though I haven't been able to find them for a while, they used to have a huge bin full of old name patches. So many treasures in one small building. One of my favorite things to do in the whole wide world is thrift/vintage shopping! This place is AMAZING! When you get so many neat little trinkets and treasures together in one place it's really difficult to keep any sort of organization. This place has figured it out. You could honestly walk in and say something specific of what you are looking for and through what appears to be some chaotic organization, they will find it for you. They have everything! I had so many pinterest crafts come to mind as I walked through the shop. They have two levels FULL of neat stuff ranging from furniture, to maps, to assorted board game pieces. It's so neat! I will definitely be back... Oh! And I forgot to mention, when I walked in the door I was greeted with donut holes and coffee... ummmm name another store like this.. yeah, I couldn't think of one either! read more

Loved it! So much to go through...bits and baubles in the basement to repurposed items upstairs. I found some great Montgomery Ward catalog pages and odd kitchen ware! Definitely stopping back here! Free coffee with fun stuff. read more

Lots of great junk and not-so-much junk here. The owners are super friendly and explained what they had and where to find it. This is just one of many fun, interesting shops on the Minnehaha Mile. I didn't buy anything but I could see crafty types finding all sorts of things for projects here. read more

This is a store with a lot of unique things but unfortunately way too expensive for the stuff that's in there so we stopped going.

Super friendly and a large variety of knick knacks, art, sewing equipment and older clippings from books. She carefully packaged my glassware and recommended more stores nearby. Will definitely be back! read more

Three stars. Because everything is weight based here. The jewelry etc. that's how they charge you it's suppose to be eco friendly way or whatever. Three stars also cause their toilet wouldn't flush and someone pooped in it. And it ruined the experience for me. That is all. read more

I "collect" a lot little trinkets, but that is nothing compared to the organization of potential chaos that is Junket. Are you interested in tiny charms? There is a drawer full of them. Wooden thread spools? No problem, there's the bin over there. Some of their offerings are downright junky, but there's plenty to keep you entertained. They also offer workshops to recycle existing materials you'd have otherwise thrown out; for the holidays they taught you how to make gift bows out of newspapers. To create something out of nothing is a great concept and a great way to think of ways to showcase what they're selling. I'm mentally in a space where I'm more interested in vintage shopping for home furnishing and furniture, so Junket is not really my speed. But this place is definitely for those who like crafting, being creative with "junk", or like perusing through bins and drawers of tiny treasures. read more

What's not to love? A funky friendly local store filled with all kinds of "stuff"...and I do mean ALL kinds. Some junk. Some treasures. Unique gifts. Local art and crafts. Odd and ends and quirkery abounding. You can even buy old fortunes from long gone cookies. Where else would you find that? Or a styrofoam wig head full of promotional stick pins? A lamp made out of Kodachrome slides? Only here my friend. Only here. One could spend days and days in here strolling down memory lane or letting your imagination run wild with all the decorating and collecting possibilities. This is the kind of place that's full of treasure you never knew you needed. It's a mishmash of old junk, but I mean that in the best possible way. Drawers full of sewing notions, old postcards, cool marquee letters...I won't go on, but damn near anything you want? They have. There are also some neat items made from recycled materials by local artists which were fun to see. The only downside is that it's always busy (which makes me so happy for the owner and vendors!) so space is tight. I would suggest leaving strollers in the car and not carrying your biggest oversize purse. But everyone I've bumped into there-literally-is so nice that the close quarters aren't really an issue. read more

This place is a gem of a shop. A very eclectic selection of upcycled stuff as well as all kinds of DIY art and craft supplies. Need inspiration to get your Pinterest-worthy project started? You'll see a nice bunch of finished sample projects (especially collages) to get you going. Best of all, it is extremely well organized. No matter how tiny and/or obscure the object is you're seeking, the merchandizing makes it easy to find. And if you're just browsing, you'll truly want to spend hours here because there are several large rooms of floor to ceiling treasures. All kinds of vintage sewing supplies including buttons, patterns, fabric, thread, tools. Tons of old knitting needles. Vintage clothing. Old toys. I'll definitely be back. read more

This is such a cool little shop. When they're open in the spring/summer there are fun finds out on the sidewalk in front of the store to entice you inside. They usually have donut holes for munching on and coffee brewing to enhance your experience at the store. There's a ton of sewing/knitting supplies here which is not something I often see at thrift stores. It is just a funky little shop with lots of treasures! read more

Great little shop! My husband, baby son, and I ventured in when they had recently opened- sweet spot. One thing I noted was the supplies of potential vintage re-use-its. Buttons, yarns, crafty goodness. We picked up a great xylophone toy for our son that he loves, and plan on returning soon. read more

Oh, junket...you cute little charmer, you! I stumbled across junket months ago. When you see a giant sign that says "Vintage Shops This Way---" you whip your car around and explore! They have anything you could ever dream of. Need funky jewelry, got it! Need vintage kitchenware, got it! Need paperclips, got it! Need a bunch of baby blocks, got it! You get the point. I've since been in lots of times and it never lets me down. I'm a sucker for good customer service, and this place has got it! Every staff I have encountered there has been friendly. I love how community based they are-hosting craft classes, neighborhood night market, and simply sharing about the other shops on the Minnehaha Mile. Literally everything about them is nice. I think that their reaction post to a negative review on here well-represents what they are about....customer satisfaction! read more

We got there at 10am, when they open. The sign said closed. We milled around outside for ten minutes before seeing someone and knocking. Somehow their clock and watches stopped working. Oops. Interesting place with all sorts of random items you may or may not need. They have stuff outside and in the basement too. If you buy little items (buttons, beads, yarn, etc), you pay by the weight as opposed to per item. They had a limited selection of vintage clothing items. I didn't find anything I really wanted. I found a small beaded bracelet in the $1 bangle bin. In fact, there were a couple beaded bracelets in there. i got to the register and she wanted to charge me $6 for a beaded bracelet that was half string. When I told her I found it in the bangle bin, she argued with me. I left the bracelet there because I didn't like it enough to pay $6 for it. If I were the store owner, I would have given it to the customer. Oh well. Just beware what you find might be a different price at the register. read more

This is a cool neighborhood spot that is well-organized & full of potential treasures. If you venture in, be prepared to be overwhelmed by a TON, and I mean a TON of items, all pretty well organized, but very random nonetheless. For me it was sensory overload that took me out of the mood to shop, but my husband enjoyed the experience. There are a lot of local artisans being featured here & opportunities to grab business cards amongst various displays. Prices seemed fair considering much of what they sell is handmade, one-of-a-kind or vintage/antique/collectible. read more

Great little vintage store in a fun neighborhood. Some great finds, but felt understocked. Lots of paper goods - drawers full of old maps, old book pages with new prints on them, lots and lots of smalls. Only a few substantial furniture pieces, and nothing really noteworthy. Not sure if my last review posted. Out of all the vintage shops on Minnehaha Avenue in Mpls, this is the one I will not be returning to. A girlfriend and I were enjoying a mom's day out with lunch and shopping. From the moment we stepped into Junkets door, we were followed. Yes, followed. As though we were common thieves. Really? This isn't New York(where shopkeepers do follow customers around-- I know as I lived there). As a collector, I will take my money to the other local stores with a much friendlier and laid back vibe and encourage my collector friends to do the same. read more

I have been frequenting this store since it was open every other weekend. Now it is open practically every day. Best for the collector, crafter, this story has everything from vintage buttons, maps, spools, little odds and ends. They have little classes from time to time hosted by local artist and I recommended a friend to attend one on how to open and run your own Etsy shop that she found really helpful for a small investment of $25. I myself have bought a couple things from here most notably a little wooden game table (square wood table that opens up to seat about 8 with a hidden velvet lined storage in the middle for little old ladies to store their game piece (or drugs, who knows) for 30 whole dollars. When the table didn't fit into my rinky-dink Corolla, the lovely owner of the shop had a shop help drive it over to my place after hours and help me move into my uptown apartment. Totally not within their job description but so appreciated - that's service! read more
