So, essentially like a Goodwill for building items/furniture/flooring that are donated items and resold. Saving our environment is important but a few items here were a little spendy while others were not. Be sure to allow time to wander around the ReStore since you never know what you will find.

Wow. Wow. Wow. I spend a lot of money and buy a ton of stuff from Habitat. But today I am rethinking this decision, at least at their Minnehaha store. I found a lamp I was really interested in purchasing, but the price seemed high @ $75 for a mass produced, not high end single bulb pendant light, so I googled it and discovered it was $50 and $59 on eBay and $69 on Amazon, all with free shipping and new in boxes. I politely asked if they ever change pricing that is out of line with retail, and was directed to the "person in charge of pricing," Jill. She reacted to me like I was trying to rob them or something when I mentioned the discrepancy with the exact same available lamps online. She said that they don't change prices. I quickly decided to leave the store and not buy anything else I had come for, either. As I was leaving, I said, "You know, I spend a lot of money at these two stores (I do my own work at my rental properties, so I'm always replacing stuff,) and I'm shocked you're sending me out of here, a charity that is set up to raise money to help people, to have me buy it online because your item is overpriced. You can clearly see the issue with your pricing." I asked her if she was sure she wanted to do this, and that I would be noting it on my review. She then told me I can have it for $50, but at that point I didn't want to give that store a dime of my very hard-earned money. Ugh. It was such a simple problem to fix nicely! It could have been such an easy, no brainer win-win! I could have been a happy customer, and they could have sold a lamp (that was not in the original box) at a fair price, but in this alternate universe in this particular store it seems that isn't a possibility. I don't like to spend money shopping if it isn't enjoyable. And remember, this light was a DONATED ITEM! It's not like they had a profit margin to consider. As their prices continually creep up, the hassle of buying things here is becoming less and less attractive. It used to be a fun adventure to come to these stores. Now I spend half my time online making sure I'm not getting gouged on purchases. And if I do find out that their prices aren't fair, they react poorly. No thank you. I would rather pay retail and be treated like a human who matters.

Went there opening weekend. Not as much inventory as their New Brighton store yet, but they were actively putting new things out on the shelves. Give it some time and this place will be amazing. Very nice large space. Lots of parking including bike parking (employee told me to expect a lot more bike racks in the future). Easy convenient access via the Midtown Greenway on bicycle.

Can I sell a Italian dinning room cabinet set to restore?

I think Re-Store is mostly donations. Try Turnstyle consignment instead. Here is Roseville: https://www.yelp.com/biz/turn-style-consignment-roseville

We came here for the first time to see what they have and I could see that it's a great place to get things that cost less than retail.

In fact, we saw a good deal of empty nesters shopping here on Sat morning. Aside from furniture, this is a great place to stop in for gifts and home kitsch. While, not much here fits my home's style, I really had a great time wandering around...it reminded me of trips I've taken through Northern Europe and the Netherlands. I didn't even need to dust off my passport.

What looks like miles of the restored original floors (yep, original!), a remodeled stairwell that no longer makes it seem like you're entering your aunt's musty basement. This showroom for the home is open, bright and positively stunning. Roam is a store that won't please everybody, but it will please those with modern taste and a deep pocketbook. It would also be a good place to buy an interesting wedding gift if you have very posh friends. Between high-end imported furniture to... well, still very high-end local goods (Blu Dot), there's lots of room to browse here. I must admit that Roam doesn't quite roam into my budget or personal style. When the friendly owner (I think) began to explain some of the designers they carry, I wanted to stop her and say, "All my furniture is from craigslist, m'lady." Still, I can appreciate what they are doing here. In my brain, it roams more into the category of frivolity-that-might-actually-be-kind-of-awesome.

I came in specifically to look at Joybird sofas as they are an authorized retailer and have sofas on the sales floor. Its scary to make an online purchase (and such a large, custom purchase) without touching and feeling an item, so I was thrilled to learn this store was so close to home and had what I was looking to purchase. I had a great time working with Kristin. After countless emails and a couple visits to the store I ordered my sofa, and also ended up with a chair and lamp. Kristin was great to offer her designer opinion while listening to mine and helping me make the big decision based on my existing home design. They offer financing (OAC) and 'white glove' delivery (they take all the packaging stuff with them when they leave, set the item in the room of your choosing) just like Joybird, but they will for other items you purchase there, too. The kicker is the 2 week in home trial period. Keep it for two weeks and if you decide you hate it they will take it back to the store and offer you store credit to replace the item. This really eased my worry about spending 2K on a sofa I may not like as much in person. I can't wait until it arrives! They also have home decor items here, like pillows and lamps. Its a super fun place to just look around and get inspiration, or fall in love with a custom fox lamp which would totally look amazing on your nightstand. Or maybe that fun mounted anatomical model of a heart on your desk. Or maybe that chair with acrylic arms. You get the idea... Inventory is changing constantly, so visit often. See you there!

I immediately knew I was going to be at home in this store. There was furniture and accessories, for you neutral people there was plenty of that. For those of us who like color, plenty of that too. I wasn't sure if I could afford it so I had her price out a chair for me it was $1100 but they had a 20% off sale so it would be $880. I'm new to furniture shopshopping so I went to another store later (La-Z-Boy) and it was comparable to that. I walked in at 20 minutes to closing on a Sunday night, but Billie didn't seem rushed at all. I was the one saying "let's just wrap this up. Can you give me something to look at online?" And she gave me two websites she thought I would like based on our conversations and looking at what they have to offer. I will see where our furniture shopping journey takes me but I plan to be back!
