Majority of items were way out of date and nothing but clutter it seemed. Your grandma might like it though.

Friendly staff and an ever changing selection of unique resell items makes The Prop Shop one of my favorite places.

Prices are better than the goodwill and I like that this thrift store does a lot of giving back to the community.

This is an interesting thrift shop that gets overlooked. The main reason is that for whatever…read morereason, if you map search for thrift shops it NEVER comes up. If you don't stumble across it, like I did by hitting the supermarket it shares the plaza with, you'll never know about them. Maybe they like it that way. As the name implies they focus on furniture. The assortment is typically nice to average. Way better than your typical Goodwill or Savers, not as nice as others. The people who work here are very nice. They had an overdose of now-boat-anchor armoires that they were practically giving away but for sofas, chairs, art etc pretty nice. They do have other stuff like books, CDs, brutally overpriced vinyl, kitchenware, but prices are good to crazy. The place is cavernous so a good look around will get in your steps. Again if you don't save a note to remind yourself to visit you probably never will because they're almost invisible. If I hadn't been cleaning out desk junk I wouldn't have remembered I had kept a receipt from here. I have meant to go back but forgot the name and searching for thrift shops is pointless on this place. If you're near here or looking for some room revitalization it's worth a visit. I'm reviewing the place so I can find it again myself.

I have been to other Turn Style Home locations, and by far this is my favorite. First off, it's a completely separate store from the Turn Style Clothing shop across the street which is a nice plus and makes it less overwhelming to shop around. I've found some great pieces here to jazz up my old apartments, including a vintage French painting and a cool oversized floral clock for my kitchen. They have a great selection of end tables, mirrors, and unique kitchen type items. Definitely worth a trip over here (to the suburbs) to check this hidden consignment store out!

When you drop off your clothes, they give you a nice, official-sounding "donation date" - you know, so you can come grab your items if they don't sell. Except... plot twist: they actually donate your items the Sunday before that date and just don't mention it. And if you do manage to show up in time to reclaim your own clothes, be prepared to pay $1 per item - yes, to take back things that already belonged to you. Nothing says "great business model" like a cover charge for your own wardrobe. Oh, and they don't pull your items for you. No, no - that would be too convenient. Instead, you're left wandering the store like a confused raccoon, rifling through racks trying to figure out what's yours, only to be told you can pay $1 to get each item back. At that point, you might as well just donate everything to Goodwill, take the tax deduction, and skip the surprise deadlines, scavenger hunts, and ransom fees altogether.
