This includes hair styling tools of all sorts, sheet masks, makeup, and great bath products. There are also tons of things for the home, from rugs to furniture to sheets and towels to home storage and organization. (Note to self: if I ever need to stage a home, I should go here.) I especially love the kitchen section--in addition to the great cookware and bakeware, they have great gourmet items, from pasta to chutney to cookies and tea. It's a nice TJ Maxx...and yes, it's a "Runway" store, meaning it's big, and it suppose to have the most selections....but...since it is a runway store, people all over the metro come here to shop, so, a lot of the items have already been picked :-( So it's not as great as it once was... I now prefer to go to the smaller locations such as Plymouth or Brooklyn Center. read more

Love all the clothing options, shoes, beauty, jewelry and kids toys. Tip: If looking for brand names like Nike for kids clothes check out this store. Half the price at TJ Maxx than other sporting goods carrying the same item. The cashier line can get long but the cashiers are pretty quick at moving people through the lines. read more

This TJ Maxx seems a bit more chaotic than other locations. It's bigger due to being a TJ Maxx and Home Goods but when they start adding those extra tables in the aisles for the holiday season it's a bit much. I notice most staff are working the front end (cashiers) but there's always a bit of a line so I guess that's good. The store could for sure use some staff for zoning. Love looking around for all the Hello Kitty/Sanrio items. Prices for the most part are decent. read more

Every time I visit a new place, I MUST find a TJ Maxx. I like how they have their own differences in products in every city and state. Anyway, this is the first time I cut this visit short. This store includes HomeGoods, but it feels more like a collision than a fluid merge of the two, as if someone told HomeGoods last minute her big sister is moving in and only her room has space left. Both TJ Maxx and HomeGoods have great prices, but going further in the store made for a slightly annoying walk through, especially the areas where both stores sell the same products (candles, bedding, food stuff and cookware, etc). read more

A few weeks ago, I visited The Shoppes at Knollwood in St. Louis Park for the first time. I was here to drop by Bliss Acai. I was thrilled to see this TJ Maxx several stores down. I knew that I had to visit it afterwards. This TJ Maxx is a combo store with HomeSense. I dig doing one-stop shopping at two retailers. I had a purpose coming to this store. I travelled with a rather large piece of luggage. I had goods to bring back that were bulky. This luggage has been my travelling companion for at least fifteen years. I hadn't used it for a while and noticed when I was hailing a taxi from my workplace to get to the airport that the backside had a three-inch crack. It was frankly time to replace it, with various parts of it needing help, like the handle not extending as far as it should, the broken elastic snap that should secure everything in your luggage, and more. My go-to TJ Maxx is in Eagan. I thoroughly went through that luggage section and did not find anything that was comparable to my old luggage. I came here to see if I would have better luck. I didn't have a tape measure. Instead, because I am a resourceful person who did not want to buy a tape measure, I went with hand spans, meaning the distance between my thumb and pinkie. I measured everything at the hotel and did the same measurements for various luggage sizes. I find that TJ Maxx has the best deals when it comes to quality luggage. I found the perfect piece of luggage for my needs. It ended up being a Samsonite with a hard shell. I am a Samsonite fan. This one was lighter and had more room inside than the luggage that I was replacing with similar dimensions. The fun part about testing out luggage is rolling it around the store as I shopped. It passed my test of maneuvering it through aisles and tighter spaces. It rolled smoothly and effortlessly, unlike my old luggage. I was a fan. The luggage colour isn't the most stunning. It's a slate grey, but it satisfied my functional needs. I had already bought a bright orange tag to add some flair to it, making identifying my luggage immediately off any airport luggage carousel effortless. This store had a decent variety of blenders and citrus juicers. I was not expecting to see them, but it was a fun discovery. I oddly like looking at drinkware these days. There were many options to choose from. I didn't get any, but I loved the pastel line that keeps your liquids hot or cold for hours. This store had Valentine's Day and Easter merchandise out simultaneously. The former is fine. The latter seems too early for my liking. The phone accessories just before you hit the labyrinth to the checkout was impressive. I loved everything from phone holders for your car to brown bear AirPod cases. What stands out at this store is the staff and how friendly everyone was. I had the nicest woman at the checkout. I had to hand over my luggage over the counter for her to remove the security alarm tag and scan the barcode. "I'm so glad that it's not heavy. It's just bulky," I said to her. "Yes. I'm glad, too. It's bulky," she confirmed. I paid with a credit card. Done! I got my receipt. She handed me my luggage over the counter. She wished me a great night. I reciprocated and rolled out in style with my new luggage. Although I miss my old travelling companion, I am so happy with my new luggage. It stood the test travelling from the Twin Cities, to Chicago, to Toronto. I love how lightweight and roomy it is. I didn't even need to use the expander zipper. I feel that it may be tested soon, but I'm happy that my purchase worked out perfectly. I had a great experience at this store. I'd return again when I'm in the area. (27) read more

The size of this location is great, I don't believe they maximize it to its full potential. Pockets of the store are packed full of product and then other areas are bare. You'll find what you need, it'll take a bit more effort than usual. Didn't see a lot of staff on the floor. Parking lot is a traffic jam. Overall a good visit, I'd come back, I wouldn't come just to browse, frustrating. read more

As a self-proclaimed savvy bargain hunter, I genuinely LIKE the hunt to find great things in less than glamorous places. Call me crazy, but it's fun. That being said, I do want to find clean things in these places and ideally, I'd like to be able to get through the checkout line in under 30 minutes. Unfortunately, this TJ Maxx does not do much for me in either of those categories. For starters, it's nothing short of impossible to find the department you actually need. I was there shopping for a women's regular one-piece bathing suit. Nothing fancy or anything, just a simple bathing suit. They had them scattered across a few different places, and there was little to no organization between styles or departments. I ended up finding 3, then went on the prowl for a fitting room. The attendance was nice and the rooms were clean, but I was incredibly grossed out to find that 2 of the 3 suits were missing the liner (you know the one, ladies). After I finished trying on the one suit I trusted, I pointed out to the fitting room attendant that two were missing the liner and she responded, "oh, that's ok". No ma'am it is not. I did try to go through checkout for another few items since I was already there, but the line wrapped around and I just didn't have time to wait. After the lack of concern for cleanliness and the poor front-end service, I'll probably go elsewhere next time. read more

My teenage daughter is now working at the store, so I go in a lot more than I ever used to. I particularly like the little gourmet food section. I bought a bag of organic cacao and flaxseed from a farm in Montana. For Christmas I bought a bag of bows, shirt boxes, and really funky wrapping paper. For my daughter I bought underwear, fluffy soft sweatshirts, leggings with pockets for her cell phone. I've bought organic deodorant, shampoo and conditioner, athletic socks. For Christmas gifts we bought Viking blankets and gourmet chocolates. I got a lime green rolling suitcase. It's a fun store to browse around in. If you're into jewelry, all the jewelry is 100% silver or gold and all the stones are real. The prices are amazing! They're doing a good job with Covid, counting everyone as they come in, greeting them, washing the carts, washing down the cashier area after every customer. The lines may look long during the holidays, but they keep a lot of cashiers on hand and they go fast. I have asked for help from various employees and some do better than others, but most are friendly and want to help. Stop in and enjoy! read more

I love this TJ Maxx! First of all it is a "off the runway" store so you will find upscale brands. It also is so stocked of home goods, so this store really has it all! Not sure if I should admit this but I am here probably weekly... I absolutely love TJ Maxx, I come here for everything! I got most of my holiday gifts here this year and they have a MUCH better selection than Nordstrom Rack. TJ carries the same designers as NR, and then some: TJ also has an "Off The Runway" section with reallly high quality items... Kitchen necessities and decor, clothing for men, women, children, juniors, and everyone in between, makeup/hair/body products, jewelry, shoes, purses, luggage, GIFT WRAP, ELECTRONICS, CANDY, IMPORTED OLIVE OIL, BOOKS, I'M STILL GOING I'M NOT DONE YET, art, furniture, sheets and bedspreads, rugs, pet supplies like bowls, beds, toys, and pee pads, EVERYTHING. You can find everything here. There are plenty of new things here every week but you can also count on some things staying the same which is nice. I love their snack section and always get Pizzelle when I'm here (23cal per Italian wafer cookie! I recommend the Lemon or Chocolate flavor) and they almost always have Himalayan salt lamps and large crystals here for your hippy-needs. The people in the checkout line are always quick and efficient, the place is clean, there's a large free parking lot... no complaints. This is just a really great place to shop for gifts or for yourself! Lastly, a special mention: They have new Rae Dunn items here every week so if you're a collector, this is a great spot, and they have a lot more here than the Edina or Eden Prairie Home Goods location. read more

I was always a Marshall's girl. Lately I've been to a couple of them, is it just me or they are overpricing there products. I was faithful to Marshall's but I decided to sin. I went to TJ Maxx I know right the most sinful thing you can do. Whatever I didn't regret it, glad I came. This place in St. Louis park is huge!!!! Is just me ?? I get lost sometimes. I be like how and where am I . This store has clothes home store huge rugs men clothes yeah sounds like a regular store but I swear to you the brands and the hip furniture make Marshall's look like upscale Savers. One Thing I really like is that they have a lot of employees on the floor! When I have came here the cashiers all of them are right there so the line goes quick! I like to be in and out! I would travel great distances to come to this mother ship of TJ Maxx and Homegoods. They have a "runway" selection which is designer duds at good prices. It is a normal persons chance at snagging a fabulous label you can only dream about. This store has a bigger than normal amount of decor and home stuff. It is not hard to drop several hundred dollars in a few hours here so be warned. I love this store more than I should---and agree that it is the best TJ MAXX in the twin cities. ...but I am the type of gal who thinks nothing of starting at this TJ and driving on to three of four others all in one day....a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. read more

My all time favorite location. This store has the runway section, so they get in the top designers for clothing, shoes, and accessories. I feel it is always stocked very well and their merchandise is really high quality. I have been very impressed with the level of service each department offers, too. The jewelry counter is always very well stocked and the level of service is attentive and they are very knowledgeable about their merchandise. You know what? I kind of hate you Home Goods. You're kind of a dick. How is it that whenever I enter this store my money magically disappears and is placed in the Home Good's cash register? I just don't get it! I always effing find something in this place. Always. Whether it's a mirror, a couple of chairs, a sports bra, or an adorable travel mug for my morning coffee, money is always being spent. The biggest advantage of this T J Maxx store is that it combines a home goods store. Granted that an exclusive Home Good store has a wider selection of items but this one's handy when you're short on time. The store also has a runway section where you can pick up ridiculously expensive designer clothing and purses for pretty steep prices. The women's clothing section is better than the men's, when it comes to choices. Sometimes the store and especially this section is messy and it takes a lot of patience to dig through things. The jewellery section has some great finds at times. I have always had good luck finding kids' clothing at bargain prices here, as well as towels and rugs. The furniture section has some good bargains. This is the place to pick up name-brand cookware at really great prices, compared to BBB for example. This store is currently open during the Knollwood construction, you can only access it from the front and you have to park a bit away but it is open. This location has the Homegoods and runway sections, lots of cool stuff. The runway section is fun to look at but the some of the purses are still $800+ which just makes me laugh. Check out the clearance racks of the runway section and the items sometimes become expensive instead of insanely expensive. Overall I have had so-so luck with the selection, it's one of the better TjMaxxes but I have yet to score a great enough deal to make it a 5 star. read more

I give this Tj Maxx a four stars per their makeup section always has a lot brand-name makeup from Anastasia Beverly Hills, Kat Von D, stilla, Becca, and the list goes on...unless you are too late cause they fly off the shelves fast! Their clothing section has a lot of designer brands like Free People, Theory, Calvin Klein, etc unlike other Marshalls/Tj Maxx I've been to. This location is also a Home Goods. In my opinion, they have a lot of cute trendy home goods but it's a little messy because there is so much stuff in some aisles. You definitely see a lot of cute decorations they have at places like Urban Outfitters and stationary stuff from places like Paper Source for way discounted price here :) read more

One of the best TJ Maxx stores around. If you are into designer goods, this store is for you. It has a special section, they call the off the runway collection - I have seen Fendi bags ladies! Marc Jacobs, Dooney, Betsy Johnson, Sam Eldeman, and many other names grace the racks in this location. As with most TJs, you have to dig for the goods, but that is half the fun sometimes. Scouring the racks for that perfect Calvin Klein jacket and only paying 1/3 of the price, its a thrill, and an art form. I have found their selection of home goods is also quite nice, but I prefer to go to a specific Home Goods store, as their selection is usually a lot better. If you know you are going to be making a large purchase, and don't have their credit card already you should apply. You get rewards points on every dollar spent at any TJ Maxx, Home Goods or Marshalls store - if you shop any way, shop and get free money back. Lately anytime I go here this place is a MESS! Clothes piles everywhere, there is hardly any organization in any section of the store. It's hard to browse through for me. I end up spending too much time and then getting frustrated. The only section that seems somehwat to me is the athletic department. I love good deals, that's what keeps me coming back. read more
