I really like the jewelry section on the TJ Maxx side, and found a few fun holiday jewelry pieces. I always love putzing through the body and self care aisles too to find some deals and markdowns. In the HomeGoods section, I found a great ceramic tree and a few other pieces! It's really fun to shop around here with the variety they have. Only downside is sometimes the line can get a bit long for checkout, but they keep it moving pretty well.

This HomeGoods is part of a combo store with TJ Maxx. It's located in St. Louis Park and is one of…read moremy favourite stores to frequent. It's a busy shopping plaza. However, I never have a problem finding a parking spot. I seem to find items in this store that I don't see at others. I got a travel frother-mixer that charges with a USB cable. It was my first time seeing that combination. Normally, frothers require batteries (AA or AAA) to work. I also got a glass spritzer over a year ago. I use it to control the amount of oil I spray in a frying pan or on bruschetta, and it has been an awesome, practical find. Last week, I ended up getting iced tea in tea bags. They work well and don't require a lot of steeping time. The condiments section is extensive. You can find everything from chili oil to grainy mustard. I did enjoy the varieties of honey that this store had. I found raw and liquid forms. Some had hints of lavender and more. I saw a s'mores maker and a mini cooler. They intrigued me. Both HomeGoods and TJ Maxx share the same checkout area. Staff are always friendly and cheerful. The lineup was fairly long when I was here. However, there were at least six staffers on duty, so the line moved well. I love dropping by this store to check out the merchandise. I like this store a ton. (8)

Thankfully the dress was still there and it was so well priced! Unfortunately, the dress was way too immodest in the bust for my wedding day but it was a whole $10 cheaper than the exact same one on Modcloth. I did find a truly unique necklace for my friend's birthday and it was the last one so I had to get it. I will definitely be back here because their clothes are beautiful, unique and insanely well priced. Jewellery is awesome as well. I love how everything is color coded and wish more stores would organize like this. Every employee I encountered was very friendly and helpful. I did notice that they were diligently interactive with me after I picked up a $100 blouse- as they should be on a busy Saturday! But I really appreciated the small talk and direction from Randie, who gave me the brief on where to find everything, and the brief on the sister store Nextdoor. This store is a bit out of my way, but now knowing what they carry I definitely see myself returning here when I am feeling like I want to treat myself. As I am someone who prides in ensuring clothes don't go to landfill and trying to reuse or recycle as much as I can (I shop thrift a lot) I was very pleased to see that they take overflow items from designers. My only bummers were when I got home, the nice gentleman at the register unfortunately left one of the security tags on a sweater, leaving me to figure out how to break it off. It happens, but gosh dang! And then the same sweater had a bit of a small but obvious stain on it. And while I know it's already deeply discounted, it wasn't in the clearance section. So when I asked if they might consider anything additional on the top, he kindly explained how the store handles stuff like this and that basically there is a waiting period of it doesn't sell. Odd, but I'm sure it helps them profit, so I understand. Overall, I'll be back! What a great local spot!

Um...WHOA?! I've…read moreheard about this store from friends before, but thought it was just a fancy menswear store. Well boy, was I wrong. I stopped in a few days before Christmas, and I actually had a few things yet I wanted to get my grandpa, so this worked out great. At the entrance - and throughout the store - I found free hot coffee, tea, refreshments, cookies, and treats. Maybe it's just a holiday thing but I loved the hospitality. The space is HUGE - so much more than clothes! I had no idea. They have: - books and coffee table books - a whole room dedicated to perfume/cologne and scents - a whole area for cocktail-related gifts - home decor, tableware, and interior decor items - kitschy smaller giftables that were organized by theme (work/office, hosting, etc.) - menswear and womenswear - jewelry - candles - and so much more! I genuinely believe you can walk in here and be sure to find something for anyone on your gifting list. The service was incredible: lots of welcomes and greetings, and staff there to help you if you need it. Oh, they even have a room you can reserve while shopping?! FANCY!

I am part of a large, semi-formal wedding in Atlanta. The function is laden with "pomp and…read morecircumstance" that might give me hives. However, a close friend is diving in for his third, and I applaud his happiness. I won't wear a tuxedo, but I needed to have a suit made that would make the bride and the 400 attendees comfortable. The bride already told me not to don a fedora or pink sneakers, although I wanted to. Todd Fliginger at Martin Patrick took me under his wing. Todd is amazingly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. He sent swatches to Milwaukee before we moved to Minneapolis. Tailors were brought in, especially the master tailor Robert, not only to measure, but also to have me try on different designers' pieces to see what would fit well. I am a difficult fit, with a body more like a penguin than a human. That's what a custom tailor in NYC told me. However, I don't nosh on Krill. Todd and Robert took hours to get a correct fit and guaranteed that I would look good. Todd even saved me several hundred dollars off the original quote. ADDENDUM: My suit arrived, and it looked amazing. A few alterations are required to ensure a perfect fit, but that's it. I had a suit made on Savile Row in London that cost more than three times this suit's price, and it did not fit as well. This store should be on every list of Minneapolis's sightseeing highlights. It is akin to a design museum. Everything at Martin Patrick--furniture and furnishings--is for sale, and they're all amazing! Martin Patrick 3 is down-to-earth sophistication, with a NYC or Parisian vibe. Yet, the staff is Midwest empathetic. It is a Minneapolis treasure, as is Todd. I might not be looking forward to this wedding, but at least I know I will look my best.
