Opitz is an ADDICTION!! This store has been in SLP for years and that store is stuffed and crowded. I prefer this location hands down! Now I will not kid you and say it's fancy because it's not... its a big warehouse that is filled with fabulous designers at a fraction of the price! It's seriously what I would call retail heaven! The shoe selection is amazing and when they do close out's for $5 and $10... Imelda Marcos eat your heart out! Clothes are sorted by color in each section you will have to basically dig threw clothes to find that perfect bargain! I love a challenge! Finally, sign up to receive the emails so you know what brands will be arriving each Wednesday, and with that being said see ya next week!

I've had good luck with the St. Louis Park location for dresses to attend weddings. It's a fair price too compared to Nordstrom or Macys.

I've always found great, cheap dresses for school dances and dress shoes. I have a question, is opitz a sustainable store to shop at?

Well I'd say this is a pretty prime example of it! I've been to plenty of Plato's Closets and this one definitely takes the cake for higher end, bougie, brand name items. In the store you can expect entire sections on: - Free People - Hunter boots - Uggs - Love Your Melon - Victoria's Secret And a ton of athletic wear like Lululemon, Nike, etc. I would definitely recommend coming here if you're looking for these brands! I would come back to buy but not sell because I don't wear a lot of the brand names they're looking for. I'm giving this place 3 stars instead of 1 or 2 because I do think their selection is very well curated with these bigger brands. However without this positive, I would opt for 1 or 2 stars. I came in with the intention to sell but once I walked into the store and say the daunting wall of Uggs and Free People shrine I pretty much knew they weren't going to take anything. When I arrived I don't think I was even greeted by the woman or man behind the counter. The woman just started going through my bags and asked me if I could sign in. I just peaked around the store a little but wasn't planning to buy. Once I was done walking around for maybe 5 minutes, I went to the counter because I assumed they were done. There was no one at the counter but there was no indication as to whether they were ready for me and my bags weren't insight... Finally the man gave me my bags and let me know that they were passing on everything because of slight wear and styles that don't do well for them. Overall this Plato's does a lot better than others in stocking brand names but also does a pretty horrible job at customer service. I would endure rude employees to come back for brands if I had to but I don't think it'd be too enjoyable of an experience!

Three times now I've left with my full basket of clothes and another basket on top practically falling through the door with it because it's only getting bigger with each time they tell me they aren't excepting clothes this late in the day. It's early afternoon? A lot of us work in the morning and dropping off clothes in the early afternoon shouldn't be this much of an issue, three times worth. Not to mention they took the people's clothes just in front of me, but told me that was their last take and left me standing there with my pile of clothes. Just so condescending. Rude! Will not be coming back, not a chance.

Um...WHOA?! I've…read moreheard about this store from friends before, but thought it was just a fancy menswear store. Well boy, was I wrong. I stopped in a few days before Christmas, and I actually had a few things yet I wanted to get my grandpa, so this worked out great. At the entrance - and throughout the store - I found free hot coffee, tea, refreshments, cookies, and treats. Maybe it's just a holiday thing but I loved the hospitality. The space is HUGE - so much more than clothes! I had no idea. They have: - books and coffee table books - a whole room dedicated to perfume/cologne and scents - a whole area for cocktail-related gifts - home decor, tableware, and interior decor items - kitschy smaller giftables that were organized by theme (work/office, hosting, etc.) - menswear and womenswear - jewelry - candles - and so much more! I genuinely believe you can walk in here and be sure to find something for anyone on your gifting list. The service was incredible: lots of welcomes and greetings, and staff there to help you if you need it. Oh, they even have a room you can reserve while shopping?! FANCY!

I am part of a large, semi-formal wedding in Atlanta. The function is laden with "pomp and…read morecircumstance" that might give me hives. However, a close friend is diving in for his third, and I applaud his happiness. I won't wear a tuxedo, but I needed to have a suit made that would make the bride and the 400 attendees comfortable. The bride already told me not to don a fedora or pink sneakers, although I wanted to. Todd Fliginger at Martin Patrick took me under his wing. Todd is amazingly kind, helpful, and knowledgeable. He sent swatches to Milwaukee before we moved to Minneapolis. Tailors were brought in, especially the master tailor Robert, not only to measure, but also to have me try on different designers' pieces to see what would fit well. I am a difficult fit, with a body more like a penguin than a human. That's what a custom tailor in NYC told me. However, I don't nosh on Krill. Todd and Robert took hours to get a correct fit and guaranteed that I would look good. Todd even saved me several hundred dollars off the original quote. ADDENDUM: My suit arrived, and it looked amazing. A few alterations are required to ensure a perfect fit, but that's it. I had a suit made on Savile Row in London that cost more than three times this suit's price, and it did not fit as well. This store should be on every list of Minneapolis's sightseeing highlights. It is akin to a design museum. Everything at Martin Patrick--furniture and furnishings--is for sale, and they're all amazing! Martin Patrick 3 is down-to-earth sophistication, with a NYC or Parisian vibe. Yet, the staff is Midwest empathetic. It is a Minneapolis treasure, as is Todd. I might not be looking forward to this wedding, but at least I know I will look my best.
