The woman at the counter told me only 1 of my 3 prescriptions was filled. I asked if I could quickly make a call to find out why, she said yes, and while standing right there in front of her, I found out my insurance issue was literally caused by one letter being off in my name. As soon as I explained that, instead of helping, she immediately said, "I can't help you, we close in 30 seconds." The time was 7:58 PM -- not even 8:00 yet. She didn't even bother checking me out for the one prescription that was already filled. I understand employees want to leave on time, but refusing to help someone who just came from the hospital, standing there in an ankle boot, over a matter of minutes was unbelievably cold and unprofessional. I was literally trying to move as fast as possible while injured, only to be dismissed. This was some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. After being in the area for a bite to eat, and before heading back towards home we stopped in here real quick just so that we could get him some cough medicine. I rarely have to buy this type of thing and knew very little of what I needed to pick up for him. After entering I had to orient myself to where everything was. Make my way to the area and find the item of what I needed for him. After looking items over and making the best decision for him, and after a quick consultation with his mother we found our way to the register. The checking out process was very lackluster. Instead of it being customer service oriented, it felt like you were being watched by a guard at a prison. The sole employee that I saw while in here was standing guard at the register area. No affect on their face, no interaction of any kind, just a kind of 'get your stuff and get out' attitude. Glad that this is not my neighborhood CVS. Or that my office is located anywhere near here. I would definitely go out of my way to go to any other location or a competitor.

The Brookland CVS continues to be understaffed and understocked. They also continue to make errors…read morein a prescription for a maintenance medication. Earlier this year, CVS sent a text message stating that the Rx had been filled. When I went to the pharmacy to pick it up, they told me it was not ready and that they had to order my medication, which would take a week. At this point, I was out of medication. My only recourse was to go miles out of my way to pick up the Rx at a different branch across town. This week, I attempted to refill the same Rx, but the automated systems (both phone and computer) are set to refill the script in September. Someone at CVS keyed in my 30 day supply of medication as a 90-day supply. Again, the Brookland CVS refuses to take any responsibility, even though I picked up the Rx from them. They told me today that I need to go to the CVS across town to correct the error. I called that pharmacy, and left a message for the pharmacist AND called my doctor to ask her to send a new script to the Brookland CVS. This is for a script with multiple refills. This is unacceptable, and although I've complained multiple times, the only recourse I have at the moment is to report the issue here.
