I've called 4x for a prescription transfer, 2nd time they had no record of my 1st request. 3rd time, they said they made a call to the pharmacy doing the transfer, yet I just called that pharmacy & they said they never did get a call from Walgreens. This has been my pharmacy for years but lately they're not willing to accommodate or call another store if they don't have the medication you need. Terrible customer service as far as prescriptions go. I probably won't be coming back to this store for my Rx. The pharmacy tech was arguing with me about my prescription and saying that I had not had it filled there in the past. I asked her to check her computer, she still said no. I asked her to check again and she saw that I had the prescription filled there. So Tues was a special senior day, once a year, giving seniors 20% off full price items But wait they forgot to tell the employeesI gave my AARP card but ask where's the discount ? Run away from this place. This pharmacy is pathetic and I would never come back but my insurance forces me to subject myself to abysmal customer service. The DMV gets higher ratings than this place. They have 101 excuses why my prescription is not ready when advised it would be. The best one is that the computer notification system is not working properly and will call when 1 out of 3 meds is available but says that your order is ready for pickup. Think I joking, give it a try. The kicker is they will tell you the system is not working properly. What they won't tell you is that it has not worked properly for several years and will never work. Today, I dropped off a prescription and I was the only one there. They said that it would be ready in 30 minutes. I get back and find out the pharmacist is on a break and my med has not been processed yet. This must have been a coffee break since it as before 11:00 am. I always get my prescriptions filled here, and I've never had a problem. For the most part, I don't buy a large amount of things here, because the lines are so weird. There's nowhere to put things by the register, and the lines don't move very quickly. I really don't like it when I'm re-directed to use the register in cosmetics. I don't know why, but it annoys me. The Drive-through pharmacy is probably great late at night, but in the afternoons, they move really slowly. It's really better to go inside. Plus, you'll have to come back to pick up your prescription if you are using the drive through to drop off. If you take your prescription scrip inside, and wait in their "waiting room", they'll try to get it done faster. I've made returns in the store for items purchased online, and the manager has always been really helpful. The store is usually pretty clean. read more

My husband picked up 3 prescriptions for me last night at Walgreens in Upland. One was a strong ibuprofen for pain, one was Tylenol/arthritis and the third was muscle relaxer. I don't know if i should take them all at the same time. I have called them 9 times today to get directions. 5 times i was on hold for 15+ minutes only to get disconnected when someone started to answer. One time i actually talked to a tech person... she said i had to talk to a pharmacist... but he was giving flu shots and would call me back in about 10 minutes. Four hours later i called them back...put on hold again... waiting for pharmacist.... when he came on the line i was disconnected. I called back... talked to another tech girl....put on hold for pharmacist.... you guessed it.... disconnected again. As of this time...5pm.... still no call from them and still can't get a pharmacist on the line. Every time i call them i have to wait a long time.... they need more help managing their phone lines. There is so much i like about this pharmacy... but this part of it is so frustrating! read more

I had recently had my pain medication prescription sent here to the pharmacy. I am currently living between Rancho Cucamonga and San Diego. I have been receiving my medication from my Walgreens in San Diego however I figured while I was in Rancho Cucamonga for the next few week and was due for my refill, I could pick it up at the pharmacy down the street. Mind you my doctor said it was ok as well. The pharmacy however told my doctor that the medication I was trying to get was only for cancer patients. I'm sorry but I have been taking my medication for almost two years and currently see a pain management doctor for it. I am also legally disabled with physical disabilities. So According to the pharmacist here unless I have cancer apparently I am not allowed to get my medication that I have already had and been getting from Walgreens lol. I guess people are not allowed to move or have different addresses. All they could say was they wouldn't fill it and to send it back to the original pharmacy or to another pharmacy. Sooooo apparently what only the Walgreens in San Diego is allowed to fill my medication?? This is the most absolutely discriminatory thing I have ever heard. So now while I planned on being in Rancho Cucamonga for the next few weeks I will have to drive 2 hours down to San Diego just to get my medication and come back up here. This is discrimination to every description possible and I'm sorry I can understand there is an "opioid crisis" but there are also people with chronic pain and significant medical physical disabilities that they take this medication for as well and need it. And in my case it's not something new, I've been taking it from the exact same company "Walgreens." Craziest thing I've ever heard I hate this company more than anything. The pharmacists always like to think they are doctors and can control and do whatever they want and it's not right, especially to people like me. I mean think about this, so if I moved to Florida for example, and tried to have this medication sent to Walgreens there, would I have to fly back to San Diego just to get it? Literally makes no sense at all, I highly recommend not doing business or having your medication sent to Walgreens. Hands down the WORST Walgreens Pharmacy I've ever dealt with. The store itself is average but more than couple times I've noticed some employees that were obviously drunk. Anyway back to the sorry excuse of a pharmacy, I would say they need to hire more staff but honestly they need to be shut down and are a disgraceful embodiment of distributing medication to ease their customers health issues. Secondly there is no damn common courtesy and are extremely rude and insulting. There is a certain medication I take that isn't covered under my insurance and cost about $300 out of pocket. They did not fill it on multiple occasions under the assumption that I could not afford it, no consulting me if I want to pay the price for medication THAT I NEED and after telling them how to do their job I have to wait even longer for their slow service and come back a second time. So I got in line and was told to wait for 15 minutes while they are getting my meds ready. More than 15 minutes later I was told to get in line again to pick-up my medicine. Very disorganized pharmacy and a very long wait. Almost every time I've come to pick up a prescription, there's been a technical error on the part of the pharmacists in recording my information in their system. The disorganization of this pharmacy has frequently costed me days without my necessary prescriptions, as well as the 30+ minute wait it usually takes to pick up. If you have to use this pharmacy, make sure you remember the name of the pharmacist who has helped you previously, as they all seem to be following completely different rules and protocols. read more

This walgreens is terrible. The pharmacists says 2 hours until the prescriptions would be filled come back in 2 hours not filled, then tells me has to order one. Of course it was the most important one. He should have told me when I presented him with the prescriptions after he checked to see if he had them in stock. It 9:20 p.m., I could have checked with other pharmacies. Oh no almost midnight and I find out. This is not good service at all. It is an utter tragedy that yelp has not yet adapted its rating system to allow for "zero stars." To start, I hope that someone with the resources to open a competing 24 hour pharmacy reads these reviews and is inspired to put these losers out of business. I came into the pharmacy at approximately 11:00 PM to purchase Sudafed and a box of candy. As we all know by now, meth junkies ruin every aspect of organized society; we can't even buy cold medication without proving that we're not buying it in large quantities for the purpose of making methamphetamine. They had one person working behind the counter, who was processing customers at a rate of one customer per 10 minutes. I had six customers ahead of me, so I literally stood in line for an hour to be serviced. I would have been more than happy to pay a pharmacy tech $15 to work the hour before I came in to eliminate the wait, but that is not in Walgreen's business model. My frustration is that, upon reaching the front of the line, I was informed that their "system is down" (meaning that they couldn't verify that I haven't been trying to purchase tons of Sudafed to make meth), and I therefore couldn't make my purchase. There was nothing I could do, so I cut my losses and just asked to buy the candy. An hour in line for candy. As ridiculous and frustrating as it was to this point, it boiled over into outrageous when I declined to type my phone number into the keypad to activate my Walgreen's reward card, or whatever the f they call it. I tried handing the woman/cashier/pharmacist/waste-of-space a $5 bill, and she told me that she needed my name first. I said " I'M JUST BUYING CANDY" and gave her what I hope was the iciest stare that she'll get all week. She replied that she needed it for the Walgreen's reward program (or whatever). I about lost it. I know that it's probably inconceivable that I would pass on getting rewards like $0.10 off baby formula coupons that are good from May 23-May 25, but I'd stated vocally that I don't want to give my rewards information and I declined to enter my phone number to log into it, so just let me buy the stupid candy and leave instead of turning it into a pissing contest. read more

The associates seemed friendly and eager to help, even though they were busy. My minor issue was with the pharmacy. Be mindful that if you refill a prescription online, pay attention to the date: it automatically jumps to the next day. I knew this, so I corrected the date and even waited until I received a confirmation email that my prescription was ready. When I got there, I was told that since the prescription would not be covered by my insurance, they had not filled it (I guess it is their policy to confirm with the customer in these cases). That's fine, but please call me or at least don't send me an email saying that the prescription has been filled. Even though I have had many waiting experiences there, including today, the people were nice, so I will probably continue going there out of convenience (I'll just call them myself next time to be sure it's ready). read more
