Not helpful at all. The urgent care sent a prescription for my son's sinus infection to them and they didn't have that medication. They-refused to forward it to another Pharmacy so now my son has to wait another day for me to reach the Dr and have him send the Prescription else where. Not the first time they don't have something. It doest't occur to them to reach out to the client to let them know they're not able to fill a prescription. They waited so long to notify me that my prescription became invalid and was no longer supported by my insurance When you walk in to Hendrix the staff acts like you're a bothering them. Usually good staff. But that one aggressive man (Chris) needs to calm down. I keep trying to explain my situation and I can't even get my point across without being cut off by Chris. Everyone else is fine but this man needs to breathe. Super confused on what Chris is mad about (if that's even his real name). Other than that, everyone was super nice. I normally don't write reviews, but this deserves recognition.. I went into Hendricks pharmacy to buy vitamins and received the most kindness customer service i've encoutered this whole year. A pharmacy employee named Dianna offered to assist me with finding the right vitamins for my age and physical needs. She went thru the diferent types of vitamins brands with me and aided in my decision based on brand and pricing. That's what I call excellent customer service!! I moved my many prescriptions to Hendricks after I moved to Claremont , CA, in June of 2022. I'd had an account with CVS for years in nearby San Dimas, but was won over by the fact that Hendricks had a same-day delivery service (if ordered in the morning) to my home in Claremont. Even if it was out of stock, they usually can get and deliver it the following day. This trumped any other concerns I have since I no longer can drive. I found the staff to be exceptionally helpful, knowledgable and professional; getting the most recent Covid and flu shots was simple and fast. I have been quite pleased with them on all counts. What I don't understand are the respondents on this board who downgrade Hendricks substantially for what seem to be unavoidable and occasional problems that any pharmacy can have. I realize that being out of stock of a prescription for someone who needs it TODAY or having a customer think a single employee communicates with them rudely is a valid reason to downgrade them to a single star. REALLY? To me, it seems petty and unreasonable. At its worst, it's an unwarranted stain on the pharmacy and it's business. read more

I do not write negative reports. I tend to subscribe to the adage, "if you don't have anything nice to say..." In this case, I felt compelled. Sick, tired and overwhelmed people come to pharmacies and I would hate for them to waste their time and energy at Hendrick's. I switched from CVS for the sole reason that I wanted to support a small, local business. I thought I would get more personalized service. I was wrong. Hendrick's is so unpredictable. I would request a refill and I never knew when it would be ready. On one occasion, I gave it a day and the prescription was not ready. On another occasion, I called ahead to confirm it was ready and sure enough, it wasn't. I requested delivery service. Never happened. I really gave Hendrick's several chances to get it right. The clerks and employees are unfriendly and are often bothered by any requests. I had better service at CVS and will be returning there. Customer service it's what sets apart business. It's a shame that Hendrick's values the business over customer service. read more

Every single person here treats you like you matter! I came today for a covid vaccine and my pharmacist who administers them, George, was amazing. The support staff helping out were equally wonderful (Braun and another gentleman). I didn't feel rushed through. They all seemed to really care about how I was feeling after. I love supporting small business so that was an extra bonus and we made a point of shopping after our jabs. If you are in need of a pharmacy in the area, skip the big chains and come here for exceptional service and to feel valued for more than just the dollars that go in the till. I was happy to see someone from Western University of Health Sciences present and participating. Bonus parting gift besides a sticker and a lollipop, Hendricks handed out Smarties candy and other treats too. I brought my Booster bestie and Hendricks accommodated both of us together. Love this locally owned business, prices are good, customer service is exceptional. And it's on my favorite block in Claremont on Harvard!

The customer service is awful. The kid running the only register was clearly new and struggling but no other employees seem to care. There was at least five other people in the back, and he stood there, staring at the register, not knowing what to do or not knowing how to ask for help for over five minutes. The other saw him and did not care to help the growing line. I will honestly be changing pharmacies after this experience. It's always a lengthy process and no one seems to be in a hurry, but this was just disregard for customer service. read more

My daughter is terrified of needles, but needed to get vaccinated. George and a few others (I'm terribly sorry I don't remember their names) were so patient and helpful!!! Especially the young lady who made her an origami swan! These people are amazing! They went so above and beyond to help her deal with her fear! It's a pharmacy. In small Claremont. It's hard to find an independent pharmacy in this day and age, so don't go into this place expecting to find grand quantities like at other chain, multinational pharmacy chain brands. It gets the job done. During heavy Santa Ana heat winds, I needed lotion as the humidity was literally 0%, it was getting to the point where my hands would start bleeding due to the dryness in the air. Luckily this pharmacy had the lotion that I needed, albeit at three times the price at another retailer like Amazon or Walmart. However, as I needed the item immediately at the time, I went ahead and purchased the item. Checkout was relatively seamless, though the last time I came here, the PIN pad froze. Something about the registers needing to reboot. The hardware looks ancient and they don't take NFC payments at the time of this review. All in all, an A-OK pharmacy running dated technology but still managing to survive in the technological, modern age. Proper good job. read more

Worst customer service ever. I have tried to stay local... but the customer service is horrific.

Terrible establishment. I always get nervous picking up my meds thinking something is going to be wrong. I got a refill for my anti anxiety meds and the pills are literally all half pills. They split them without any type of consent. And also they refilled my 100mg sertraline with 50mg ones for no apparent reason AND delivered them to a rehab I went to 3 months ago for some reason without consulting me first. Just stuff that doesn't make sense. Communication is non existent they don't let you know when ur prescription is ready and if you call to ask they will tell you " uh I think it's ready".and to top it off the delivery was late to the rehab on top of it being delivered there for no reason so I drove out almost a hour for nothing since I had left by the time it got there read more

We are so grateful to the staff at Hendricks Pharmacy for providing our kids (14 and 12) with their COVID-19 vaccines today, especially Brian the owner and Gio the lead pharmacy technician who actually gave them their vaccines. I didnt know that technicians could actually administer vaccines, but with Gio's skills, I would have though he was another pharmacist there. They explained everything to us, walked us though the steps, and made everything super simple. I am especially grateful to them for treating my kids with such great care and compassion and making sure that they (my kids) felt that everything was going okay for them. My kids DON'T like shots. At all. However, Hendricks made it a breeze for them and now my kids are laughing at themselves for all the anticipation they worked up previously for nothing. We've given the pharmacy our business for years. Service has become non-existent. No calls when prescriptions are ready. Prescriptions aren't ready or accurate. Brian is unavailable for customer service or inquiry. We have given them chance after chance to live up to the small town, personal pharmacy. Fail!! Every single time. If you want great service and great prices, go to CVS. They have stepped up their game. My prescription's retail price was for $300+, which is a lot for a starving student. I told them that my paltry insurance didn't cover prescription drugs and generally looked poor at the register, and they magically applied discounts (I don't even know, the discounts they applied, sorcery) to get it under $100. I'm kind of amazed no one has reviewed this place. This is a pretty nice pharmacy, decent selection for its size. They also stock a good amount of "organic" non-chemical products such as Tom's. The people working also tend to be pretty nice and helpful. Only major downer is that they're closed on Sunday. ON the other hand, there's 10 percent student discount! If you're looking for a huge selection, go to a CVS but I'd rather support a small business such as this if they're doing the job right.
