Luckily I was already parked behind the Walgreens where the CVS is located (funny that they are in the same parking lot really.) I walked inside instead of using the drive- through today. The pharmacy tech asked for my birthday. I kind of said it fast so she inputted the wrong day and then asked me if my name was ---? I didn't catch it but it wasn't me. I had placed my DL and insurance card on the table in front of her so she could've checked them but she just asked my bday again. This time we got it right. Technically she used two forms of identification by asking my birthday then name which is what is legally required, but I think after the first error in communication, she should have just looked at my ID. Anyway that's just a little feedback. It all worked out. The pharmacist explained my medications to me and smiled when I said I understood. This has to be the worst pharmacy in town. I arrived at about 7:30pm to pickup a prescription that I knew was ready. There was a long line at the drive thru, so I tried to go in only to find the front door was locked while there were workers inside. So I get in line, about number 7, and after about 20 minutes get to the window. She asks my name, says my prescription is ready, but cannot give it to me because they are taking a break. A BREAK AT 8PM? If she knew she would not give it to me why did she ask my name? Why was there not a sign at the front door explaining they are on a break and cannot give out prescriptions? This place is awful. I am 73 years old woman and all my entire life in La Verne. For insurance I have I should go to this pharmacy. A tech pharmacist works there named Shonda. There not time I go there not comeback upset and angry either she made me to wait too long in drive through or ask me comeback again even though I called before and ordered my refill. (Monday 17, 2025) I never want to write review on them but Shania and the pharmacist Both have very ugly attitude toward me. Both discriminated people.(non-American). Yesterday I had an appointment to pick up my refill and meanwhile I was scheduled to have vaccination for flu and pneumonia at 12:30. 1. When I arrive she was so rude to me as usual and told me I don't have your info while I am my prescription with them for more than ten years. 2. She made me scan the sign and fill a very long form which due to my age and language I had very tough time and ten times to ask her what this question means. And finally submitted. 3. Then she claimed she doesn't have the record of my previous vaccination even though I told her that I did in other pharmacy of Walgreens in San Dimas. To expedite the procedure after waited for fort five minutes , I called Walgreens in San Dimas and ask the pharmacist to forward a copy of my vaccination. When San Dimas pharmacist requested to talk to her she got more mad and rude to me that why I did call Them. Finally I told her why she is treating me like this and ask for her name since she didn't have name tag she said some name that was not familiar to me a I ask them please write it for me, she threw pen and a business card of manage of pharmacy and very disrespectfully told : write it yourself. Two pharmacist was on spot neither tried to stop her and help me out. I was scared of het to give me the vaccination gladly one of other two pharmacist was told by her to get my signature of consent form and apply the vaccination. I have heart problem and taking three different type of pills for my blood pressure and when I finally at 2:00 pm went home my blood pressure was 180 to 100. This branch is ridiculous. read more

Possibly short staffed but it seems they have had the same problem way to long judging from all the Yelp reviews. Slow and apparently no way to check on your prescription status without driving there. My prescription was called in at 4:30. I called 2 hours later to check if it was ready. Was on hold for over 20 minutes. They have a automated phone system which keeps you in line. Someone picked up the phone 3 times. Each time letting me know I had 4 people in front of me, 3 people, 2 people then....you guessed it... I was hung up on! Beyond frustrated. Walgreens: treat your customers better! read more

I went in for a face scrub. Zero customer service! While I waited they're shouting out personal information about what medication does. Minimal stock... no privacy for questions. They don't even acknowledge people waiting when they're taking a while. Left empty handed. NEVER coming inside again. Plenty of parking out front. Fine for prescription drugs. My prescription was called in from urgent care at 12pm. I showed up to pick up my prescription at 1:50pm. I sat in the driveway for 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged me, and there were 2 people sitting at the window. When one of the staff members finally provided service, they told me my prescription was not ready. I asked when will it be ready, and they said they don't know. I went home, and 15 minutes later my prescription was ready. I had to leave right back out to pick it up. read more

I have an expensive, hard to find prescription. I need to call usually about 10 different pharmacies just to find one or two that carry it. We had to switch to Walgreens from CVS because the insurance company told us they have a contract with them so. And I am not happy about that. My son has pneumonia and his doctor was trying to call in his prescription. His doctor finally called me and said he tried for an hour to call in the prescription, but he either got put on hold forever, or the phone just rang and rang. The doctor asked if I could go there and call him, so I did. When I walked in, it was clear they were frazzled because they were understaffed. There were about 7 people waiting for prescriptions, and I had to wait 10 minutes before anyone could even help me, but I was being patient because I could see they were struggling. I was patient until the pharmacist tells me: I will call your son's doctor when I get around to it. And they he says that no one has called. Meanwhile the phones were ringing off the hook while I was standing there. All I could do was laugh and look at him. So I said: I can get the doctor on the phone for you. But the pharmacist tells me he can't even promise me the antibiotic today. Uhhhhh, you don't make a child with pneumonia a priority??!! So I decided I was going to CVS because I knew they would get the prescription ready that day, even if I had to pay full price. I started to walk out and call CVS, when the pharmacist tells me: ok fine, call the doctor for me. I did get the prescription, but I had to really work it. I mean if it were not urgent I would not have cared. But.....it is like this ALL the time. They never call you or alert you that something is ready, and you can be sure to wait at least until the next day or the day after that unless you get in their face. A friend told me the Walgreens on Lone Hill is a good pharmacy, I guess I will try them if I have to use them. But I am not coming back to this one. This was the last straw for me. read more

After the medicine-obtaining debacle of last week (being told twice the prescription did not exist before finding out it had been ready the whole time), we ran out of antibiotics for my daughter about halfway through the 10-day period described in the instructions. I had to return to Walgreens where the pharmacist confirmed that I had been given a 6-day supply of antibiotics for a 10-day prescription. He repeated this multiple times but never offered an apology. I do not recommend this pharmacy to anyone. read more

This review is specifically for the pharmacy tech Nancy. I have never been treated or spoken to in this manner. I was asked to come back in 25 min by another tech, and I did after about 35. When I returned, Nancy quickly told me it wasn't ready to come back in 45 min. When I tried to explain to her that I had been told to return in 25 and had been hanging out waiting, she cut me off, stated to come back in 45 again, and glared at me. Her attitude was horrible. I told her that she was being rude and she replied " because I'm telling you to come back??" I said no, it's how you're speaking to me. She then proceeded to put her hands under her chin and say, " please come back." Awful. Rude. Unprofessional. I asked for a manager and she told me she wasn't there. I asked for a number, she gave me a card with the managers name on it. I didn't even know how to process the interaction. As I sat in my car, the other pharmacy tech told me in the parking lot that she would help me. I'm so thankful. I didn't get her name. I am just blown away by what just happened. If Nancy doesn't like her job or interacting with the public she needs to quit. read more

For a drive-thru pharmacy, this is fantastic. Very small walk-in store but very convenient. We've used this place for the prescriptions for all five family members for many years. Last year, our insurance cut off Walgreens and we had to use the CVS next door, but to our delight they worked out a deal for this year, and we're back to this Walgreens and as happy as ever with the service. Prescriptions are filled fast and correctly, they notify us by phone, and autopay makes pickup quick and easy. read more

At another Walgreen's I was treated poorly and as a customer. Here I am treated as a patient and person. The ONLY reason I gave this location 2 stars is because of the convenience of the location and the drive thru. The staff is rude, argumentative, and clueless. They could care less if the drive thru line is 8 cars deep (which it always is). Prescriptions are never ready on time and don't even think about calling them for any actual information, they will put you on hold until you blow your top! The entire staff needs to be retrained or reassigned, either way they should not work together. They're like children and I think they feed off of each other's negative attitude. Bottom line, if you have the choice, go somewhere else. Corporate will do nothing to change the culture of this scrap heap of ne'er-do-wells.
