Health and safety violations And ADA violations

I went to this store this morning, the staff is rude. One of the cashiers RJ is extremely loud, tho it may be a cultural thing to yell so loudly as you speak but its completly and utterly inappropriate to be at that volume. We call the appropriate level our "inside voices" read the room RJ and stop yelling like a mad man, I know you deal with the homeless population all day but it's no reason to be at that volume. The isle were filled w/ merch on the bare floor violating health & safety code standards. products need to be 6 inches off of the ground. Also being handicap, the items you had scattered on the floor didn't meet the ADA clearance standard of the 36inches. The isles were impossible to get down because of this mess. I let the woman in the pictire know i needed to get to an item on this isle and she had the audacity to tell me "you can say excuse me". Wait one minuet. YOU are the one who made this Catastrophic mess, YOU are the one violating health & safety code and ADA & you expect me to say excuse me? No you need to say excuse me! You are the one who shoukd meet basic health & safety standars as well as provode customer service! You clearly need training to not be rude & roll your eyes the tell customers who are NOT at fault that they shoukd say excuse me. Whats worse is there were several other employees in the store stocking shelves, so there should be no excuse for these blatant violations she created. Who trained her? She should not be on the floor if she hasn't completed the basic training as well as the food saftey certifications required in this state.

Not as cheap as your local super market but if you need something quick it's great. Like how 7-Eleven is open 24-7 and on major holidays.

Most of the time, everything is great, but lately, I've noticed it can be a bit of a hit or miss--I either have a wonderful experience or a really tough one. Why I keep coming back: Their food is genuinely delicious. They have really good sandwiches and so many great options if you're hungry. Also, a little insider tip: if you're feeling under the weather and want something better than a Starbucks Medicine Ball, order the Remedy Tea. It is so soothing and I highly recommend it! My recent experience: On my last visit, things felt a bit off. The staff seemed really rushed--they actually started making our drinks while we were still in the middle of ordering. Because of the rush, they missed my milk modification and the drink ended up being way too sweet, to the point where I couldn't really drink it. What saddened me most was that the cashier was pretty rude and dismissive toward us. We actually felt so uncomfortable that we didn't even want to ask for a remake, so we just headed out. I truly love the menu here and the vibe when it's "on," but I really hope the service gets back to that friendly, welcoming energy I fell in love with.

In February, I was helped by a newer gentleman at the register who didn't greet us and seemed very impatient while we looked at the seasonal menu. When we ordered a seasonal drink by name, he sighed and rudely turned the menu around to read it himself. He didn't ask about milk preferences and just seemed annoyed to be there. To make matters worse, the drinks that day were overly sweet with almost no coffee flavor. I have been back twice since then, but I find myself visiting less often to avoid that specific interaction. It is a shame because there is another worker there with curly hair who is the complete opposite. She is kind and always has great recommendations. I hope the service can get back to that standard consistently.

Calm, relaxed, and easy to settle into. It's the kind of place where you could picture yourself staying for hours. That said, it was running a bit warmer than comfortable inside, which made it harder to fully unwind. My iced caramel latte came out looking and feeling more like a room-temperature drink than an iced one. It wasn't unpleasant, but when you order something iced on a warm day, you're expecting cold. The bigger issue for me was the Wi-Fi. I came specifically to work, and while the signal showed up fine and I had the correct password, I couldn't actually get connected. I tried on multiple devices and others were unable to connect as well. That essentially defeated the whole purpose of my visit. Sanctuary seems like it could be a solid spot, the aesthetic is there, but they'd benefit from dialing in the drinks and making sure the Wi-Fi is actually usable for remote workers (especially since they offer a meeting room, a little pricey per hour though at $40). Might give it another shot someday, but with lower expectations.

Usually I go straight to the food reviews before ambience, atmosphere, staff and such etc., but my focus has reversed a bit starting with the atmosphere. The minute my family strolls in, we had this young lady totally stare down my family. I have not ever felt our presence would strike such an unwelcoming or unwanted tone from an establishment. The gentleman at the front counter was pleasant and made some conversation so my mood was put to ease slightly, but he was next to the mean girl and it was hard focusing on the order placement. Excuse the rant but that almost ruined my morning. We sat to try our lattes and it was astonishing to see smiles given to other patrons from a woman who nearly frowned the whole time we were there? This young lady was so rude to me and my children. I can only speculate and I'll keep what I feel off the grid for now. On to the positive stuff (2 stars) the lattes were very tasty. Unique flavor options, a few different types of food items to accompany the latte or teas. Our selection: ham and cheese croissant (mid), Courageous latte-Old Forester Bourbon, Brown Sugar, Organic Cream, Pink Salt- very good HOT. It's nice and clean inside. Iron & Kin, please remember, every paying customer should be welcomed into your establishment no matter what they look like. I mean, why did you start this business anyways? Wasn't it built on a dream for success, entrepreneurship, to serve the community?

The noise level isn't too loud either especially with some headphones on. Since it was a Sunday evening, I felt like it was pretty slow in the beginning but once evening hit a lot of people started coming in and a lot of people came in to sit and get work done. Most of the tables had people sitting on them with laptops out. What I liked about today is when it was slow, the cashier actually went out and wiped the tables and I felt like she did that periodically even when someone was grabbing an order to go. My friends also ordered popcorn chicken and fries and it just seems like a great snack to have while studying Wish there were more cafes like this! I ordered a peach black tea bc the cashier said black tea had the most caffeine. I requested half sweet and Crystal boba it was perfect! The galaxy drinks were really pretty and good too. I'll probably be back again!

It's not awful, but it tastes frugal. I arrived at Almond Haus Cafe (Claremont) on Sunday (around 12:20PM). Parking is easy. The lot is very big. My immediate impression of the location's interior is "abandoned warehouse." There's cardboard boxes lying about; the lights are dim & gloomy; and the furniture & walls looked old and poorly maintained. There were no customers, other than myself. Staff zipped out from the back when I'd entered. There's no self-service kiosks, so customers order at the counter. Staff is friendly and welcoming. After receiving my drink, Staff vanished into the back for the entire time. The drink took one minute and six seconds. Fast!! As mentioned, the Brown Sugar Milk Tea ($5.50) with Boba (additional 79 cents) is not awful. It's big, cheap, and thirst-quenching. Although the boba lacked any perkiness, I did appreciate its very small sweetness. Concerning the ambiance, it felt sad. Chairs had mysterious black stains, dust & webs gripped the windows' corners, yellow & aged plants lazed about, and lights stayed dimly lit like a haunted house. However, there's utility. Almond Haus Cafe (Claremont) has six electrical outlets. There's also customer internet with password; details on the plastic countertop. And there's a restroom for customers. In addition, the floors and tables are fairly clean. Overall, Almond Haus Cafe (Claremont) feels like a forgotten relic of time. At the very minimum, it's an adequate establishment. If you're searching for affordability and a place to study/work, there's potential. 3.3 out of 5
