Was CVS in Upland robbed last night? Honestly - it is the only thing I can think of to explain the situation and unhinged "team members" I encountered last night and was harassed and threatened by. After being released from the San Antonio Regional Hospital ER after four hours and in a tremendous amount of pain, I was informed that my prescriptions were sent to the CVS at 100 W Foothill Blvd, located a block or two from the hospital. I was relieved to start my healing process and go home after a long day. I arrive at the CVS around 8:45pm and I walk up to the entrance and notice the automatic doors do not open. I look in and see the doors are locked, lights are on and then happen to notice a scribbled, unprofessional sign with no explanation, which read (pic attached): WE ARE CLOSE FOR TILL 9:45 MAYBE. Confused by this and also trying to ascertain more information as I was not there to shop in the store but pick up a prescription and happy to pay cash, if necessary, I politely knocked on the glass and was met with: "CAN'T YOU READ THE SIGN," in a threatening/yelling manner from an employee in a red CVS shirt with long gray hair. Immediately taken aback, I said "yes, I am just here to pick up a prescription not to shop. I am in a lot of pain, just out of the ER." (literally wearing my Hospital ID Bracelet, with a bandaged foot and my left arm wrapped where they drew blood). Hoping for some empathy and to talk with pharmacist for a solution - (could they move my prescription to another pharmacy? Somehow get them from the pharmacist with cash?) instead, another younger more disheveled employee came over and said, "CAN'T YOU READ THE FUCKING SIGN?" Our network is down; we cannot help you. We are trying to get it back up, but we do not know. Go somewhere else." I am stunned at this point - and said "I CAN'T GO SOMEWHERE else because the prescription was sent here. So, I knocked on the glass again to be yelled at "We can't help your - our systems are down." I said, "I understand, sorry to hear that, but I need to figure out a solution for my prescription." At this point, more profanity was thrown at me. I then went back to my car and began to research other 24-hour pharmacies in the area - and unfortunately, since covid - most of those are no longer open 24/7. So, I called San Antonio Regional Hospital ER and spoke with a nurse there, told her the story - SHE WAS STUNNED BY THIS - and I recommended that she not send prescriptions to this facility tonight and maybe consider permanently avoiding this unprofessional/poorly run establishment. She then had them sent to my regular pharmacy to pick up in the morning at 10am. It sucks, I lost about 12 hours of starting the healing process, barely slept last night without the pain meds but back home in Rancho Cucamonga, I will go to my regular CVS. I plan to relay them this disgusting story as well. How corporate responds to this is going to be telling. I understand - things happen. Technology is going out but there should be a plan. There should be a manager on site talking to customers. There should be more than a poorly written sign with no information on it. There should be phone calls or a message to the local hospitals to not prescribe medicine there if they are having tech issues and unable to meet this need. There should be proper training in customer service in the event of an outage like this. Which made me think - maybe these WERE NOT EMPLOYEES? Because there is no way a CVS employee would treat their customers with such disdain and anger. Was the place Robbed on Friday night? That is the only reasonable explanation I can think of for my treatment last night. I am going to be contacting corporate and the BBB etc., I hope these "employees" get proper training...or become ex-employees. But UPLAND CVS, you have lost a customer for life. And how corporate CVS responds to this - will determine whether I ever step foot in another CVS again. And to the two front-line staff working last night - all I can say is shame on you. read more

This pharmacy employee sucks all the they care about is money they don't care about the patient needs. I need for them to loan me a few pills until the next business day and there anwser to me was call your doctor and see if they got any samples. The store was clean, but the cashier was kind of rude. She didn't say anything overly offensive, but just was very short with me.

I called the pharmacy and left a message and they called me within 5 minutes! It was urgent because I needed to transfer some medication from a different pharmacy. They did it for me quickly and kindly. Thank you. read more

I have been going to this pharmacy for some time, great service. But not anymore last two times I went I was treated with disrespect and the pharmacist was rude. Called in a prescription when I went to pick it up I was told the medication was out of stock . I was never told that when I called. I talked to the pharmacist she was rude and dismissive. Asked if anyone near by had it she just shrugged her shoulders. I told her I was going to transfer my prescription to Walgreens's she said well u do what u have to do. And called for the next person in line. Walgreens's on 19th and Carnelian have excellent service. read more

I do not like this store or the rude employees. I will be taking my prescription out! I waited 2 minutes after pushing the button for deodorant. Then pushed again and waited 2. So i left because i needed more things but i was in the area. Someone finally comes, not apologetic,but with and attitude telling me someone came and i was gone and proceeded to tell me I have to give them time as if her time is more valuable than anyone else's. I get why things are locked up, but i don't want to wait forever. Miss Margaret really needs more training on customer service. Maybe because I am a black woman my needs were not important. It's 7 pm on a Sunday and our Dr called in an urgent prescription. This is. 24 hr pharmacy and only 2 technicians working!! I had to wait 10 min for them to reprint the label. It was wrong !!! After I waited in line !! So much for urgently. I blame cvs for not hiring enough staff! read more

My 7 year old hadn't slept for two nights and was in so much pain. At 2:57am we got a prescription sent to Walgreens. But today we went to pick it up at 12pm and they didn't have any. I called again at 7pm and they ended up sending it over to CVS for us and we had it in hand 1 hour Tracy was so kind and helpful and it turned our night around, so thankful for her and thankful that my son is finally going to have some relief! read more

Cvs on campus is my "normal" store. Son went to urgent care. They called in 2 rx to campus store. I got there at 4:59p and I was promptly told it's 5pm. We are closed. I looked down and yes, it had just turned 5 PM. I said even though I have prescriptions called in from the urgent care? She said go to the 24 hour CVS. So down to the CVS on foothill I go. Well it seems that the campus store ran the prescriptions through my insurance and also told me that they were going to transfer them to the 24 hour CVS which of course they didn't do so now my insurance is telling me that I already picked them up at the campus location and they were not going to pay for the ones at the 24 hour CVS. Very long story short the nice lady who helped me was beyond great. The pharmacist overrode the system somehow to get me my son's medication. You truthfully don't know how appreciative I am of all your help. I'm sorry I didn't get their names, but they were fantastic. read more

They need to change the way they do thanks for example, if I am picking up a medication, they don't even verify what you're picking up. They walk away go grab 10 things and then charge you when you didn't need nine of them so that's the first problem. second problem is because they don't verify anything before they go and get it. I went home with the wrong dosage of medication and had to go back to the store and pay again because they messed up read more

Been coming to this CVS for years. Haven't been here in a while. As soon as I entered I was greeted and told that if I needed assistance to let them know. I do know people who use the pharmacy and when I'm with them they receive excellent service! You do have to wait for someone to ring you up sometimes. read more

I went here to get my prescriptions that the doctor ordered. I was greeted well but then it went south. I was asked for my insurance and the lady tried to enter it 6 times which prompted me to call my insurance only to find out the lady misspelled my name. She kept blaming it on the insurance and even laughed about it. I was picking up heart meds not funny. Boy did she feel nutty once she found out she was the reason it was declined She then took her time and had me go to window after window and then she did something else. Omg almost an hour here on a 5 min job. Anyways there as another young lady who was handing me the meds and I could not understand her n asked her to lower her mask she said NO even though there was a window separating us I told her I had to read lips as I'm deaf. She then commented who cares I am not taking it down like wow. Where do they find these people who treat customers with attitudes. I do not recommend this place. Oh and I almost forgot while all this was going they gave me the ring meds. Go figure read more

Pharmacist is rude a lot she is always trying to change my medication to an alternative and they will lie and say they don't have it in stock but they really just don't want to fill the prescription they have to much power in the pharmacy and it's not fair how they treat patients. Bad business. Bad neighbor. Horrible human being at the cashier. Place sucks. My 5yo boy needed to use the restroom and the guy at the cashier (tall skinny middle-age guy) pulled the old "it is out of service" line. Really?! My boy was literally stepping on his feet and holding his pants with his hands. He didnt hold it for long. I was going to buy some merchandise for using the restroom, my way of saying thank you. Obviously i didnt buy anything. Regardless of whether we buy or not merchandise, this store services the community here in Upland and as such they should be courteous with the neighborhood. These people are complete idiots! We used this Pharmacy as a last minute go to for medication for my 11 month old. Doctor called in Amoxicillin and these morons fill it and give us powder.. how the hell are we supposed to give that to my baby??? There was no directions nothing... Morons!!!! read more

I've been coming to this CVS for years. Every year, it appears they cut staff. This year has been the worst. 1 person at the counter, 1 person filling & 1 person taking the prescriptions. The lines and wait is beyond ridiculous. This is one of few 24 hr CVS's. If corporate isn't paying attention, this chain will soon follow the KMarts of the world and close up shop. Seems like every time the don't want to fill a med for you they say it's on order. For months on end hoping you won't ask to fill. I know there is a reason they will not fill the med. I just wish they would share instead of false, not true answers. read more

I just wanted to say thank you so much to the CVS pharmacy team. I had a chance to visit my elderly grandma and aunt for a month and I ran local errands with them. We came into the pharmacy to fill their prescriptions, and your team knew them by name. They also helped my aunt out with an additional discount for her prescription that she wasn't aware of. It made me feel so good to know that the community is taking care of my ladies. It is greatly appreciated. read more

If I could I would give 0 stars. We always pick up our precriptions at the drive up window since my husband and i are both handicapped and cant stand to long in line inside the store. Now they are doing covid tests appointments at the drive up window too. If I wanted to wait in a long line forever I would of went inside the store. Alot of people doing the covid tests dont know how to do them and they hold up the line forever. People doing covid tests should have to come inside the store to do them not in the drive thru. It's very unsanitary too for they touch the drawer that pulls out to get their tests. On my opinion the way this is being done shows how little they care about their customers. read more

Terrible pharmacy department! Do not drop off your prescriptions here!! I made the mistake of coming here because it was the closest CVS to the hospital that I was discharged from. I broke my tailbone and needed pain medication before my injections wore off. The pharmacist was beyond rude and took forever to process my prescriptions even though I'm already in the CVS system. I had to wait for over an hr. for Ibuprofen...then when picking up my medication I was greeted by another pharmacist (male) that was just as rude as the first one. I asked him if my other medications would be sent to this location because if so, I wanted to change that to my primary CVS. He told me no everything was fine. So I left only to get a text two days later indicating all my usual medications were ready for pick up at this horrible place. It was a mess transferring my stuff to the original CVS I go to. The Pharmacy should have helpful pharmacists their so rude if they don't like to deal with people they should look for a different job. I went to pick up my prescription I received a txt today was the last day to pick it up and the girl in the pharmacy in a rude way told me I don't have nothing on the system instead of saying we can refill your prescription but is going to take longer to pick it up or at least try to be helpful.
