So I'm sitting here waiting on my booster shot and there is a family of three I. The room right now as we speak. One of the little boys is screaming because he just doesn't want the shot at all and the other little boy is walking around the store with dad picking gout gifts because he is a big boy! The doctor has gone In And out of the patient health rooM several times filling prescriptions while the parents try to make the last little boy get his shot. Why am I waiting until the parents convince the last kid to try not to cry and holding g up the entire line of waiting humans of 12 and I'm glad the parents are getting the so vaccinated but I got things to do. Now that's not the bad part of this story... as I've watched the pharmacist go in and out of the health room from the family and the medicine department he hasn't changed his gloves not onetime since I've been sitting here for 30 minutes. The lines are now 3x longer, the wait for prescriptions is ridiculous, and customer service has gone downhill fast. It feels like there was no real planning or execution behind this merger. Instead of making things better for the community, Walgreens has made filling a simple prescription an all-day ordeal. If they want to fix this, they need to open more stores, hire more staff, and actually focus on serving customers. Always a disappointment. Today I decided to take a picture. I called. Of course you cannot reach a person. The automated system said my prescription was ready. I went in. One lady in front of me. Who else has issues with Walgreens Pharmacy at this location? They are the worse for me. Unfortunately, I have to get my prescription from walgreens bc it partner's with my husbands health insurance for the 90 day refill requirement. It's so frustrating when my online order is pushed through as cash when it shows in their system I have insurance coverage. And the reason I know this is bc they have told me that it had been pushed through as cash and they will fix it and voila, it's corrected. There has been times I am in the drive thru and they will say my prescription is not ready. So, I have to pull out my phone and show them that "their" website says it's ready for pick up and bc it's not ready they will tell me I have to come back bc they need to refill it. Today, I went to pick up my refill which I submitted last week bc I knew I'd be out by this wknd. It wasn't ready Saturday and so I called in yesterday and they said they will submit it and it will be ready today, June 9, 2025. We'll guess what? The lady said all my prescriptions was closed. I asked what does that mean and she said, "I dont know it just says its all closed." I was so frustrated that I called BlueCrossofIllinois while in the drive thru line and asked them why my prescription shows closed at Walgreens. She said it should not show closed and that it has to be their system. At this time the pharmacist comes to the window and says my prescription is ready but it's at another Walgreens location bc it was requested to be transferred to another Walgreens location. I asked him who would transfer it and which location. He said he didnt know. The BlueCrossofIllinois representative over hears this and she tells me it's ready but it's ready at a Walgreens location in Illinois I am in California! How th did that happen! They obviously couldn't answer my question and I have to wait until tomorrow for my Entresto bc they are low on supply. I am not happy at all with this particular location. Made a pharmacy appointment for school-required vaccinations over a week ago - got here 15min early and we have been here over 2 hours waiting for them to process it, find the vaccine, print paperwork..... this place is a joke. This is the slowest Walgreens in the country. I'm only referring to the pharmacy. I've used Walgreens all across this country. Hell, I'm from Chicago, and this one is the slowest I've ever been to. The wait is NEVER less than an hour, regardless if it's midnight, middle of the day or crack of dawn. People are nice enough. But crazy understaffed. Their texting system is off. Sometimes if it's out of stock the text will tell you it's ready. I always call before I go pick up just to make sure it's not some weird glitch in the system. They say it'll be ready in 30 minutes, you wait in a 45 minute line and it's still not ready. Well, they have lost another customer due to lack of service and most importantly, lack of caring. Long lines, short staff, unable to fill orders in a timely fashion, slow moving clerks who appear to hate their jobs. This isn't a one time event and has been getting worse. It is too bad. Don't know why I continue to get my prescriptions filled here. Been waiting in the drive through for 20 minutes and they have serviced ONE person in that time. I usually go inside, but usually that isn't any faster. Drive through should ONLY be for pick-up, not filling prescriptions (which is the only thing I figure makes this experience so damn long EVERY time). I have also been trying for two years to get my two prescriptions filled at the same time, but they still haven't accommodated me with that. I have called, told them in person, and sent computer messages, but I still have to come about a week apart to pick them up. I spent all night at the ER with my 3 month old to discover she had RSV & bronchitis. They prescribed her a nebulizer & albuterol and recommended i come to this pharmacy since it's 24 hours. I called to make sure they have a nebulizer in stock since it's a 40 minute drive from my home & was on hold for over 30 minutes I get it's busy right now so I wasn't even really upset about the hold times what got me upset was that at 32 minutes it asked if I wanted to take a survey regarding the service I received & then just hung up. . I hadn't even been helped yet. I called back a couple minutes later. Got a hold of a lady at the pharmacy let her know what happened & I basically just wanted to know if they had nebulizers & albuterol because that's what my prescription stated & i wanted to be sure they had it since no pharmacies around here had them, she says "did you look online they could ship it to you". I then tell her again the doctor prescribed it I've never shipped any prescription over & seems like it would take longer than just to pick it up. She says "hold please I'll transfer you to the front" so spoke to someone at the actual store not pharmacy let her know & she says "that's a prescription it would be with pharmacy". . . Get transferred back & after a couple minutes it tells me to take the survey & hangs up. Forget this place & their rude employees. read more

As a pharmacist from out of town and needing to get a prescription filled late at night, I was worried it was going to be a horrible experience. This pharmacy was quick and got us in and out. Once the clerk had our name, he asked if we knew what we were getting, I replied "an antibiotic ". Then he said "do you know the name of it?" To which I replied, I don't know. I assume cephalexin or septra. His response "umm, I see doxycyline". Ok! Yep, that's an antibiotic! We were told it would be a 45 min wait, but it was closer to 10 min when they saw us waiting. We appreciated it! They didn't know I was a pharmacist and didn't offer consultation (which is the law), but I would've declined anyway. 4 stars due to the speed they got us in and out so quickly. I just noticed I received someone else's medication how do you mess that up when asked for date of birth and ID ? What if the persons medication I received was life threatening and they needed this but were told they could no longer receive medication since they already picked up this is such a huge mistake luckily I did not take it since the pills did not look familiar so upon further inspection we don't even have the same last name ? This Walgreens pharmacy is horrible. I dread going to pick up my medications, because it always takes 30mins or more to get through the drive thru and the inside line. After my experience with the pharmacist today I am going to look into getting my medications elsewhere. The pharmacist was extremely rude and not kind at all. The way she spoke to me was inexcusable. I was having a hard time hearing her and I told her that and she still was crabby at me. She was being short with me and replying with rude answers. I couldn't believe her awful behavior. Worst Walgreens ever and has really tainted my opinion of Walgreens specially because I sent this situation in email to Corporate 5 days ago and no response. I also sent this through Facebook who supposedly is escalating but nothing yet. I talked to a gentleman yesterday and he heard what I had to say and said he would get back to me. I missed his phone call and he didn't leave a name or number to call back and failed to call back. I thought maybe he would follow up today but he didn't. This is the situation that I want addressed. My mother who is 62 years old came to visit me from Puerto Rico (which is a territory of the USA) to California. While she was visiting we both got sick with Bronchitis. She is now quarantined and won't be traveling as she is high risk due to the Clovid-19 outbreak. She fills all her prescriptions in a Walgreens in Puerto Rico. She actually filled successfully two prescriptions from Puerto Rico dr's that were in file electronically in your Modesto, CA location. Since she is now stuck in California indefinitely she had a prescription from her cardiologist in her purse she had planned to fill when she got back home and we stopped at your Geer Rd location in Turlock California to drop off the prescription. We waited over an hour and 20 minutes in the drive thru to drop off the prescription. (by the way i thought the drive thru was for drop off and pick up only so i don't understand why it takes 19 minutes per car but that's a story for another day) When we arrive to the window my mother gave her prescription along with her Identification card and Insurance card and the technician left for about 10 minutes. After 10 minutes the pharmacist comes to the window and says "I'm sorry I can't fill this prescription because it is from Puerto Rico." I tried to reason with him and told him Sir Puerto Rico is part of the United States we are a territory. He said yes but you are not a state and it would be illegal for me to fill it. Let me be clear that this prescription followed all the proper protocol that any prescription in the US follows. We in PR follow the same federal laws as any other state. We left empty handed and I left extremely upset at the treatment and ignorance of this pharmacist. Whether we are a state of nor we are american citizens. I understand that it is a high pressure situation at this moment in the country but he could have made a phone call or even googled it for that matter. I then proceeded to call your customer service phone number and I waited for a while and I talked to two very kind ladies that were horrified about the treatment I received and how inaccurate that information was and was putting me through the line to someone that could help me get that prescription filled when the call dropped. I also want to make sure that whoever is the supervisor of the pharmacist on duty at 1591 Geer Rd in Turlock Ca around 2pm today 3/21/2020 has a talk with him about prescription laws amongst the USA and it's territories which are governed by Federal Law. Then i proceeded to go to the Atwater location in which we dropped off the prescription and then they called the next day and said the exact same thing. This feels like total discrimination based on place of origin. I need someone to contact me and tell me exactly why those prescriptions are illegal. This is not about being right or getting someone in trouble but about making sure that this doesn't happen to someone else in the future that doesn't have someone to advocate for them. Stayed in driveway lane pickup for over 30min then I get to front show my prescription card and they couldn't figure out how to enter into system. Never again. I never do reviews but this one needs to be done! I picked up my meds after waiting several days to get a text stating it was ready. I noticed that there didn't seem to be the correct amount in there, I was supposed to get 30 and when I counted it was only 24. I called right away and spoke to the main pharmacist who said they would look into the matter and call me back. When I didn't receive a call back I went in and they told me they checked the camera and they counted the correct amount of pills twice. Why would I lie about missing 6 pills?!?! I've used them for a couple of years now and have been a loyal customer up until now. He treated me like I was pestering him and had a horrible attitude the whole time while talking to me.
