Oakdale Pharmacy is the blessing I didn't know I needed. My insurance changed and my previous pharmacy wasn't in network any longer. Since I take certain meds, I had a hard time finding a pharmacy who was taking new patients (everyone is so overloaded since the big chain store closed). Oakdale has been amazing since day one. They get my meds ready so I can pick up multiple on one day. They are always so kind and even have given advice when I was dealing with a recurring medical issue. The pharmacist, Christina (I don't think that's how it's spelled) is a kind hearted woman who truly cares about her patients. I don't dread going to the pharmacy anymore, going here is a pleasure. To top it off, they asked me how to pronounce my Finnish last name, which is always bonus points for me! They also have some OTC products and the price is a fraction of the cost compared to a big box store. I hope I never have to change pharmacies again. My experience has been great every time! All of the staff are friendly and caring. They go out of their way to help fill prescriptions quickly and communicate if there are any delays. The pharmacist even had a new prescription filled within 10 minutes after my husband's dr appt. Cristen has always gone out of her way to help us. We've lived here for 10 years. She's an exceptional pharmacist with an amazing staff. There have been many times she's helped us navigate through difficult situations, but there is one I remember in particular that stands out. Our insurance had overcharged us for medication that we could have gotten in the generic brands. We didn't realize it, and paid, then went on about our day. Cristen called us quickly to let us know that she'd found our exact medications cheaper, and asked us to come in for a refund. While we were there, she went through an itemized list for the previous fills, (because my husband is on several medications per month) and discovered that we were able to get refunded on them all. She had the cash ready for us, receipts exchanged, and thanked her profusely. She saved us over $200 in prescriptions and told our insurance company off. Needless to say, we switched insurance. We left Oakdale Pharmacy, for a few months due to a move. Now we're back, and I couldn't be happier. Cristen will catch prescription order mistakes, make sure your medications are safe for you, that nothing interacts, and if it does, collaborate with your doctor to find an alternative. She fills promptly, on time, and is fast and super friendly. She asks questions, yes. Because she is a great pharmacist, who knows most of us are just trying to get by, and that we don't need the hassle of trying to navigate a complex medical system. This Pharmacy has great Staff, However the owner who are the actual Pharmacist are rude, disrespectful and have no idea how to deal with customers. I asked to pick up a prescription up a couple of days early as I was going on a cruise and she yelled at me and told me to schedule my vacations around my days to pick up the prescriptions. I explained it was a cruise and I don't make up the days they leave and she said I have been taking this medication for a long time and should of not taken it prior to save for the 10 days I was going to be gone. I asked he to stop yelling at me and she hung the phone up on me. I called back and asked for the owner and she told me she was the owner. I told her I thought it was owned by the hospital and she started yelling at me again. I asked to speak to the other staff member as I was getting nowhere from her except abuse and she told me that her staff was busy and I had to deal with her. I am all for supporting local businesses and I try to support them as much as I can, however I will never spend another dime in that place again. Its so sad how a local business owner would treat someone that was supporting a local business. I feel sorry for the staff that work there as I'm sure she treated them the same way. read more

All I have to say is they are AWESOME! Christy is a true rockstar that has outstanding customer service skills on every level. No matter how busy they are she takes the time to answer all your questions. I've never waited more than 15-20 minutes if I wait at all. I pick up meds at 3 other places for other people and they don't even come close to the service I get at Oakdale Pharmacy. Rite-aide only holds your prescription one day-what? And Walgreens had me drive around the drive-thru again because they had 60 pills instead of 30. I waited 25 minutes while she helped 3 cars. How long can it take to count to 30? read more

I just got into town after being on active duty. I hurt my knee and got a prescription from my doctor (also in oakdale)Called them to see if they had a certain medication in store because all the other stores in the area were out. I have a prescription... but after driving to the 3rd store that was out I thought it would be easier to just call. The person on the phone sounded like an air head and went on a ramble about how she couldn't tell me for her own safety so I wouldn't bring in a gun to take the medication. Wow okay not even sure what to say about that. Everyone else I called was able to provide that information except this place. She said that she was the owner as well. I can understand that some people would be nervous. You never know people these days but just the way she articulated herself I felt dumber for listening. read more

I just started back with this pharmacy about a month ago. I originally came here when it was owned by the another pharmacist who our family absolutely loved, but , we were forced into going elsewhere after he left. I am so glad to be back where I started, and although it is different owner it is still the same exceptional customer service with many of the same staff. The pharmacist was very rude. She questioned every medication I was on. She asked why I was them. I don't think it was her business to know that's between me and my doctor she's just there to fill it not question me. I would never go back there. She made me feel like I was doing something wrong just by filling a prescription that a doctor gave me. Do not go here. read more

I just started coming here a few months back! All of the staff is great never wait more than 10 to 15 minutes for my medication!! They text me when they're ready if I can't wait!!
