I literally hate Rite Aid. I only came here to grab some quick snakes while I wait for my partner to finish their hair. Idk if Rite Aid is found out of business or I keep coming on restock days but this is the second Rite Aid in the Central Valley I visited (1st being in Modesto) and they have nothing on the racks. Thrifty Ice Cream...yes please! If you are a fan of this ice cream and it brings back the warm, nostalgic feelings of years past, then you know that finding Thrifty Ice Cream nowadays is a gem if you live in the Bay Area. I was so excited that this Rite Aid had Thrifty Ice Cream. I drove and hour and a half on a Saturday morning in fog for this ice cream. Went in, saw the ice cream "shop" in the corner and when I took a peak at the flavors available I was told promptly that the shop was closed due to short staffing. WHAT???!!!! I saw three employees in the front, not assisting any customers, there was no line at the registers, not another client in my view range. Short staff, sure I get it, but if I saw a crowd and employees scrambling then I would take that reason. From a potential client wanting ice cream, nope, this was just an excuse. I told one of the employees that I came from so far, and she said nope, can't short staffed. If you don't want to sell ice cream, at least tell me that the freezer was broken. Anything else really to justify not being able to scoop three single ice cream cones. Annoyed. read more

For me, it's the Kona beer. The best Rite Aid beer. I even ask for extra smiles and the staff is so friendly and more than willing to oblige. One time I asked for a Kona beer 6 pack and they gave me a 12 pack instead. I said, "Wow, six for free!" and the nice friendly Rite Aid worker laughed and said, "I'm going to call you 6-for-free!". Now the staff greets me with "hey it's 6-for-free!" and ALWAYS give me a 12 pack instead. It's such a fun and cool atmosphere at my local Rite Aid pharmacy, I go there at least 3 times a week for snacks and a bottled iced coffee , 1-2 times for Pop Tarts on the weekend, and maybe once for dinner when I'm in a rush but want a great meal that is affordable, fast, and can match my daily nutritional needs. I even buy toilet paper at Rite Aid! What a great pharmacy! read more

I visited this area for a wedding. I realized I didn't bring a few things so I stopped by this location. Surprisingly this location is really nice and big. It's fully stocked, better than the one back home! I was able to grab the things I need. Parking was spacious. I wish the one back home was just as nice. read more

Sarah and Lidia should not work here! My family has lived in Escalon for years! This is a very small community and we all know each other. Sarah 100% mistook my father for some other person who made a scene last Friday and ended up accusing my father with NO evidence that it was him. My parents have been shopping here for years! I know some of the employees because we went to school together and they know how respectful my family is in this community! These associates also have issues with Sarah and I want to be a voice for them as well. Sarah, in front of many people on Sunday May 21st, accused my father for calling Deloris, a cashier there, A fat B****. Sarah said my father came in on Friday that week and made a huge scene. My father was working all day that Friday and was no where near Rite Aid that day. She had no evidence what so ever that it was him and had NO right to speak that way to a customer! My parents simply went there to ask a question about the Western Union and just wanted to be in and out. But Sarah made this into an issue by accusing the WRONG person! My parents feel so harassed and embarrassed by what happen that day because of Sarah!! An associate even told me that Sarah wasn't even 100% sure if the person that disrespected Deloris was even my dad yet she still had the audacity to disrespect my father and tell him that he is no longer welcome at this Rite Aid. We are VERY VERY upset!! I was told by others, since we have lived here for so long and know people here, that they have also had many issues with Sarah! Sarah can not get away with this behavior and who knows who else she has disrespected!! Someone please contact me because action needs to be taken! Thank you. read more

I went into Rite Aid today and as always was greeted by workers. Clay Evans was the cashier that helped me and just wanted the store to know that he was very courteous and very professional. He knew what he was doing and was very confident in answering my questions. read more

The pharmacy takes a couple hours to fill prescriptions and they say they will call when it's ready but I have not received a call yet on any drop offs or refills. The store is great but the pharmacy is frustrating. read more

I have it 2 stars because it is where my son goes to buy all his stuff but some of the staff there is not friendly. They do not open another line when It is busy and some of the staff act like it's a chore to scoop ice cream or wash hands before putting gloves on and putting on a hair net. I would say that the best employee is Lindsey and one other lady but I can't remember her name they makes that place!! She is so nice and always courteous and always willing to help, even when she's it working!! Keep up the good work Girls!! Other ones need to work on their customer service. read more

Couple left their small dog in the car in a 92 degree weather, thank God I was sitting in the car. I called it in and the pharmacy lady answered, she said she will definitely page the owners to come out and she seemed like she really cared and said if they don't come out they'll call animal control. So I waited across the street to see and the couple came out. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR PETS OR YOUR KIDS IN A HOT CAR EVEN FOR A MINUTE. So I went to use the self check out and I accidentally scanned one of my items twice. I tried to remove the item but the screen locked and I had to wait for an associate to continue. So this employee comes over, doesn't say one word to me, leans over the counter and stares at me for a good five seconds. Doesn't say hi,hello, how can I help you, what's the problem or anything like that. Just stares. Super odd. I explained that I needed help removing one of the items that I scanned. He then proceeded to just swing the whole machine around, remove the item, swing it back around and then walked away. Literally doesn't say one word to me. It was one of the strangest encounters I've had in a while. Rite Aid, please train your associates. The least they could do is say hello. read more

Don't come here for your COVID vaccine. I made an appointment in advance, there was nobody else there getting a vaccine when I arrived, and I had to wait 30 minutes past my appointment time. (I arrived about 10 minutes early to check in too, & it took way too long for any of the 3 people standing back there in the pharmacy to even acknowledge that I was standing there waiting) Anyway, since they technically accept walk-ins, I wish I would've just walked in at a time that was better for MY schedule. Making an appointment did me no favors. If you can, go somewhere else. read more

This is the new location of Rite Aid in Escalon. New building, drive through pharmacy, ample parking and a Thrifty ice cream counter.

Always great service, great cosmetics section with gold sales and deals. Love the ice cream counter and diverse selection!

It has a small GNC section, Pharmacy (of course), Ice cream counter (have not tried). Those are the only things I've noticed in this beautiful store... But I give it only 4 out 5 because on the slightly long lines 3-5 people. One cashier (when I go there 5pm-6pm) but it's just beautiful. Id always recommend going there with your family for little treat or just pick up meds. Wonderful people and great parking. read more
