Went to River Oak pharmacy to get my Covid vaccine they said that it was going to be a $40 co-pay…read moreand that it was no longer covered by the government and I said well it's supposed to be covered because I have United Health insurance and then some administrator came back while I was in the waiting room and said I had to "pay an administration fee and you can't ask for reimbursement from your insurance company and you can't turn it into anywhere and we're not giving you the shot unless you sign this paper saying that you understand that you can't ask for any reimbursement for this from any place else and you can't tell anyone about the fact that we charged you a fee or report it any where, and that we made you sign this paper." Part two: then when I got the shot they told me that it was only $25 and when I paid for the shot they gave me two receipts one for the $25 and another one for $140 showing that my insurance company covered the $140 so what's up with all of that?

Went in, saw the ice cream "shop" in the corner and when I took a peak at the flavors available I was told promptly that the shop was closed due to short staffing. WHAT???!!!! I saw three employees in the front, not assisting any customers, there was no line at the registers, not another client in my view range. Short staff, sure I get it, but if I saw a crowd and employees scrambling then I would take that reason. From a potential client wanting ice cream, nope, this was just an excuse. I told one of the employees that I came from so far, and she said nope, can't short staffed. If you don't want to sell ice cream, at least tell me that the freezer was broken. Anything else really to justify not being able to scoop three single ice cream cones. Annoyed.

Since I take certain meds, I had a hard time finding a pharmacy who was taking new patients (everyone is so overloaded since the big chain store closed). Oakdale has been amazing since day one. They get my meds ready so I can pick up multiple on one day. They are always so kind and even have given advice when I was dealing with a recurring medical issue. The pharmacist, Christina (I don't think that's how it's spelled) is a kind hearted woman who truly cares about her patients. I don't dread going to the pharmacy anymore, going here is a pleasure. To top it off, they asked me how to pronounce my Finnish last name, which is always bonus points for me! They also have some OTC products and the price is a fraction of the cost compared to a big box store. I hope I never have to change pharmacies again. Thank you, Oakdale Pharmacy, for making this part of my life so much smoother.

The girl behind the register next to the place where the pictures were being printed said did you say Tweaker? And then she laughed. I sat there for a second And throught I was just gonna let it go, but I thought what if my last name was Tweaker. Then I asked her. Did you call me a Tweaker? She said no I thought that she said your last name was Tweaker. I said that's unacceptable. That's a conversation that you need to have when the customer leaves and she just was looking under her breath with a little smile on her face, whether that be a nervous smile or a condescending smile, I couldn't tell, but then she just left and went to the back. I had to keep calling to check the status of the prescriptions. I went in the store three different times each time the pharmacy line was at least 35 minutes. Only to be told they don't have it yet or they should get it that day. Yesterday's was another trip only to be told they somehow got them and sent them back.. the day before they didn't have them but now they're telling me they were sent back. The employee at the pharmacy counter also told me that CVS online pharmacy isn't "linked" to their pharmacy. I don't see how that possible but even if true I was there in person the day before so what does the online/phone garbage matter. This place is garbage and they tell you you can't file a complaint in the store.

I was sent here from the vet for my cat's medication…read more When I arrived I was promptly acknowledged and greeted by a gentleman working the register helping another customer. When it was my turn at the counter the pharmacist advised me the vet hadn't called it in yet. I live about 20 mins away and since it was a Friday I offered to come back another day since there was no rush but she assured me when she received the call she would fill the order so as to not inconvenience me by having to go home and return at a later time. When I came back the prescription was ready and I was thanked for my patience and understanding since they were extremely busy. But it was me who needed to give thanks. They are VERY focused on prompt and friendly service and I just really appreciated the small town vibe and the absolutely outstanding customer service. I also love that the inside reminds me of the type of small business pharmacies from my childhood but with modern products and services. There is a reason this place has 5 stars and believe me if I could give more, without hesitation I would. I highly recommend Vineyard as your pharmacy.
