Went to River Oak pharmacy to get my Covid vaccine they said that it was going to be a $40 co-pay…read moreand that it was no longer covered by the government and I said well it's supposed to be covered because I have United Health insurance and then some administrator came back while I was in the waiting room and said I had to "pay an administration fee and you can't ask for reimbursement from your insurance company and you can't turn it into anywhere and we're not giving you the shot unless you sign this paper saying that you understand that you can't ask for any reimbursement for this from any place else and you can't tell anyone about the fact that we charged you a fee or report it any where, and that we made you sign this paper." Part two: then when I got the shot they told me that it was only $25 and when I paid for the shot they gave me two receipts one for the $25 and another one for $140 showing that my insurance company covered the $140 so what's up with all of that?

I was so excited that this Rite Aid had Thrifty Ice Cream. I drove and hour and a half on a Saturday morning in fog for this ice cream. Went in, saw the ice cream "shop" in the corner and when I took a peak at the flavors available I was told promptly that the shop was closed due to short staffing. WHAT???!!!! I saw three employees in the front, not assisting any customers, there was no line at the registers, not another client in my view range. Short staff, sure I get it, but if I saw a crowd and employees scrambling then I would take that reason. From a potential client wanting ice cream, nope, this was just an excuse. I told one of the employees that I came from so far, and she said nope, can't short staffed. If you don't want to sell ice cream, at least tell me that the freezer was broken. Anything else really to justify not being able to scoop three single ice cream cones. Annoyed.

Oakdale Pharmacy is the blessing I didn't know I needed. My…read moreinsurance changed and my previous pharmacy wasn't in network any longer. Since I take certain meds, I had a hard time finding a pharmacy who was taking new patients (everyone is so overloaded since the big chain store closed). Oakdale has been amazing since day one. They get my meds ready so I can pick up multiple on one day. They are always so kind and even have given advice when I was dealing with a recurring medical issue. The pharmacist, Christina (I don't think that's how it's spelled) is a kind hearted woman who truly cares about her patients. I don't dread going to the pharmacy anymore, going here is a pleasure. To top it off, they asked me how to pronounce my Finnish last name, which is always bonus points for me! They also have some OTC products and the price is a fraction of the cost compared to a big box store. I hope I never have to change pharmacies again. Thank you, Oakdale Pharmacy, for making this part of my life so much smoother.

They only filled half of my medication even though on the bottle it showed the full quantity. They have a lot of staff but honestly I'm not sure why the staff keep making errors like this. She suggested I'd speak with her. So glad she did. The Pharmacist herself helped me. They were so busy that morning. But, all I could think of was the pain my daughter was in and I was clueless on what to give her. Luck was on my side another Pharmacist walked in. She told her what I needed and she got right on it! Thank you for having patience to deal with a 70 year old woman that was about to loose it. The medication worked! It kept her pain under control until her prescribed medications were filled. I was diagnosed with a mental health disorder this past year and getting my meds is the worst. I have to call every month to ask them to fill my prescription. And every month they make me feel like I'm drug seeking when I'm just trying to get my meds so I can be normal. They are rarely kind or compassionate or empathetic. I'm very disappointed with my experience and warn everyone not to go.
