The gas price here is good. Usually one of the lowest in town if not the lowest. Their is usually plenty of pumps available so you can be in and out quickly. They recently added the ability to pay at your actual pump rather than having to head over to a kiosk or go inside. I like that. The location is pretty good. It's easy to get to and located so that if you are just passing through town you will stumble onto it in most cases. If you need more than just gas they have a good sized store too. Not the largest or best am/pm I have seen but decent with something to satisfy most. They also sell propane. The employees are nice. Not overly happy to see you and could smile a little more but they at least do not hate that you are there. That sadly can't always be said these days. read more

Extremely disappointed with our visit. We go to McDonald's in Oakdale fairly often because we have kids involved in sports, and on a busy Monday night, it's an easy and convenient meal for our family. We also spend good money there, so I was especially disappointed by how we were treated this time. We placed our order at the drive-thru, and when we got to the window, the order was incorrect. Rather than making a big deal about it, we went inside and simply asked if we could pay the difference for the items that were missing. The employee we spoke with was willing to help, but after speaking with the manager, we were told absolutely not and that we would have to purchase the entire order again. What made this experience so frustrating was the manager's attitude and the way we were treated. I'm pretty sure he was also the person who took our original order, which makes the situation even more frustrating. Mistakes happen -- we understand that. What matters is how you handle them, and unfortunately, this was handled terribly. I have never been treated like that at a McDonald's before, and as a regular customer, I found the entire interaction incredibly disappointing. I hope the appropriate people see this and address the customer service issues with whoever was managing the night shift. Customers shouldn't be made to feel like they are a problem when they are simply trying to get the order they paid for. I'm sharing this because I genuinely hope someone takes it seriously. This is not the kind of customer service I expect from a place our family regularly supports. read more

This is a good station but in my opinion they gouge their customers who use debit cards. It costs 40 cents more per gallon to use a debit card? 40 cents! They are just exploiting the fact that they are the last station before Yosemite National Park. Oakdale has other stations. Skip this one Plus $1.50 to use their air pump. read more

The gas is the lowest in Oakdale. I love their crushed ice. I never win at this gas station on the lottery tickets & the cashier younger guy wears a baseball cap is very rude. If your just going for gas it's a win , if you want anything else I would try a different station. read more

I gave Jesse $20 for gas and told him the wrong pump number. My passenger thought he pumped the gas so we left. I quickly noticed the gauge didn't move but we were on our way to Knights Ferry so I hoped that when I returned everything would work out. Well thanks to Jesse and his honesty and his excellent service and observation my $20 was waiting for me! Jesse deserves to be recognized and even promoted because of his integrity, awesome smile and great spirit! The woman (Caucasian) was extremely rude and not only to me but to the customer in front of me and several others after. One gentlemen made a comment sarcastic to her as he was exiting. She either needs to stock shelves or clean restrooms. She definitely does not to be dealing with customers. Horrible customer service. Doesn't even deserve one star. read more

This place is usually the cheapest in town.i always pay with my debit card because I always forget to get cash before I go get gas.theres a .45¢ fee for debit and they don't take credit.but its like that at every arco gas station I've filled up in. read more

I am an understanding person. I have worked retail in my lifetime. However the dark hair lady that works at AMPM in Oakdale, CA has an attitude. I went into the store as always and if she is not at the register she makes you wait until she is finished with whatever she is doing before she will come over to help you. Tonight she was at the store and I went in looking for zippo lighter fluid, she gave me behind the counter butane lighter fluid. I said are you sure this is the right stuff, it is not for me but for my dad and I know he uses a zippo lighter. She said yes, and proceeds to tell me the total, I pay with cash and she does not provide a receipt. I take it home and it is not the correct item, I return to the store and tell her it is not the right one. She tells me that nothing in the store can be returned. I said, okay exchange it, she said I cant. She then said that I bought it and I need to know what I am buying. I said well you are the one that told me it was the right item. I was very upset and told her that she needed to be informed as she is the one selling the products and when customers come in asking for an item, she should know what she is selling and if she is not sure, to tell me she is not sure. I left the store and went to my car. I could still see her in the store talking to the next customer. When he came out I asked him if she continued talking about my situation and he said yes. I am not the only person in Oakdale to feel this way. I hate going in there when she is working. I will not be returning (not sure if it matters, but I used to get gas and other items there) I will be reaching out to corporate as I think several things need to be addressed. Be careful when giving her 100.00 bill for gas and then leaving the store and filling up, as I went back in for change and I said I need my change that was left over and she said what change, with a straight face. I had to stand and ask for my change 3 times. Scary. read more
