I told her that I only wanted $50 on pump 3, but she said the card's already been run... For $38 -- and NOT much gas -- imagine my surprise when my credit card showed a $175 charge. I called the station and spoke with the owner, who assured me that charge would drop off my credit in a few days. Well, it's been months now, and the owner insists it's my bank that's at fault (despite me contesting the charges 10 business days after incurring the penalty). Yes, penalty. My bank claims that the fault is Chevron's, and after several phone calls, they sent me a copy of the email sent to Chevron. Chevron insists that it's the gas station that's at fault. So despite many personal, professional appeals to both the Chevron station manager and Chevron, I had to force my bank to release the funds which Chevron has used that doesn't belong to them. Guess they haven't been making enough money.... My attorney wrote three letters, one to Chevron, one to the station manager, and one to my bank. Only my bank responded, removing the fee (I also paid for the $38.08 gas charge which appeared on my card account online the day after getting the gas. The station manager won't talk to me. Chevron got to use $175 of my money for months without paying me interest on the loan, or thanking me. Guess I'll start calling them Chevron stealerships.

This gas station has WATER in their gas!!!!…read more About a month ago, I purchased a used car, it ran fine on the way home. I filled up at this gas station and parked my car over night. The following day, I leave for work and my car is sputtering and dying at every light! I had no idea what was wrong. I took it in to see a mechanic, I was devastated as I had JUST purchased this car. After talking to a friend of ours, he told us the symptoms the car was having sounded like a bad tank of gas meaning, the gas had water in it. I had NEVER heard of such a thing before. He advised us to go get some HEET gas treatment at the auto store which removes the water from gas see what happens. It worked! The car drove perfectly fine after that! Fast forward to a month later, being yesterday. I just returned from a 700 plus mile round trip to with no problems whatsoever from my car. I stopped at this SAME gas station to fill up on my way home. My car died immediately after filling up with this gas, I had to restart it five times just to get out of the parking lot. I live a half mile from this gas station and my car died an additional 8 times on the way home, at every turn and stop! I thought, this CANNOT be happening again. As soon as we got home, we went to the auto store and purchased the HEET treatment to remove the water and what do you know.....the car miraculously ran perfectly fine again. I called the gas station to inform them of what happened not only once but twice and they tried to tell me it was my car. I explained in detail how the car only ran AFTER putting in the water removing treatment. They blew me off and told me to call the 800 number which I did. They were very nice and understanding and assured me they would look into it. I did later receive a call from a man I assume was the station owner, he seemed nice and offered to reimburse me a whole $3.00 for the gas treatment. Really Mr? Gas stations are big business, you would think the big guy would do a little something extra to keep someone's business. After all, we have four cars, one being an Excursion, a 27 ft boat and lots of "toys"that use gas. Oh well, Arco it is! Buy your gas elsewhere people...
