She suggested I'd speak with her. So glad she did. The Pharmacist herself helped me. They were so busy that morning. But, all I could think of was the pain my daughter was in and I was clueless on what to give her. Luck was on my side another Pharmacist walked in. She told her what I needed and she got right on it! Thank you for having patience to deal with a 70 year old woman that was about to loose it. The medication worked! It kept her pain under control until her prescribed medications were filled. I wouldn't even give one star if I had the option. DO NOT GO HERE. I've been getting my prescriptions filled here for the past ten years but the past year has been absolutely terrible. I was diagnosed with a mental health disorder this past year and getting my meds is the worst. I have to call every month to ask them to fill my prescription. And every month they make me feel like I'm drug seeking when I'm just trying to get my meds so I can be normal. They are rarely kind or compassionate or empathetic. I'm very disappointed with my experience and warn everyone not to go. read more

Three weeks to try and get asthma medication is absolutely insane. Not one time did I receive any communication from the pharmacy. I had to keep calling to check the status of the prescriptions. I went in the store three different times each time the pharmacy line was at least 35 minutes. Only to be told they don't have it yet or they should get it that day. Yesterday's was another trip only to be told they somehow got them and sent them back.. the day before they didn't have them but now they're telling me they were sent back. The employee at the pharmacy counter also told me that CVS online pharmacy isn't "linked" to their pharmacy. I don't see how that possible but even if true I was there in person the day before so what does the online/phone garbage matter. This place is garbage and they tell you you can't file a complaint in the store. read more

This place is ridiculous. My husband had a prescription CALLED IN by his Primary care DR on the 15th at around 10:30am it is now the 17th at 11:38am and it is STILL processing! Told it wouldn't be ready until around 4pm and my husband just had 1/4 of his SPINE REMOVED, then a SECOND surgery to INSTALL RODS to replace his SPINE! So needless to say he's absolutely SUFFERING because of incompetence! This will be our last fill there. read more

Very friendly employees! I placed an order for curbside through the app which was easy. Didn't take long for it to be ready. Called CVS and let them know I was here the manager Tori was very nice. This is the closest pharmacy to my house. It's the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. Every time a doctor sends a prescription they either don't have it or it takes all day for them to fill the prescription. Last time My Wife was in the emergency and the doctor sent prescription for her some pain medication. She was in extreme pain. We waited all day for them to fill the prescription before they closed 10 minutes before they closed. They called us. The prescription was ready. It took us 10 minutes to get ready and go there by the time we get we got there they said they were closed and they could not send our prescription to another CVS. read more

Received my Covid booster at cvs in Riverbank. I noticed my vaccinations was not forwarded to CDC automatically. I've called multiple times to have this corrected. I was told by pharmacy staff to contact CDC. As a customer and a physician, I don't understand this kind of service. read more

I hate how the pharmacist give me a hard time when I go to pick up my medication..especially my pain medication. They always ask me why I need it or ask why the doctor prescribed it to me. I have to call it each month to fill this pain medication and each moth it's an issue. The app shows which day I can call to have it filled and when I do they tell me no I have to wait more days. It's just annoying and I think it's time I switch my pharmacy. read more

The staff and management at this location should be fired for negligence. My mother who is spanish speaking only and a high-risk diabetic has made several visits to have her required insulin prescription refilled since December 2023. She has been told by the staff that her prescription is back-ordered and they would notify her when it was in stock. They have never reached out to her. It is now FEBRUARY 2024. The staff failed to provide alternative solutions such as checking inventory at other locations or notifying the doctor that a different prescription was needed due to the shortage of the one she was prescribed. I spoke to the Manager, AMALIA and she was rude, condescending, and unapologetic about the situation. My mother had to be rushed to the Emergency Hospital for her blood levels being over 300! They have put my mother's life in danger by their negligence and lack of care to do "right" by their customers. They have taken advantage that my mother cannot defend herself and dehumanized her because she is a minority, a woman, and non-english speaking. read more

Went to pick up my prescription and positioned myself in line at 1:25 pm. Patiently was waiting in line and was next to be helped. Apparently everyone goes to break at 1:30 pm. The lady notified me about the time and she quickly closed the door. There was no one behind me. It would have took less then a minute to help me, the last guest in line. Had surgery 12/13/23 Manteca CVS, claims the pain med.. is backordered. CVS Riverbank has medication, refused to fill order. They need to save 4 regular patients. I had shoulder surgery that day. I went to go pick up some pictures & I realized after purchasing them I had a $2 coupon - now I know it's not much but I have never used coupons at cvs Before . I asked if they could do a post coupon with my purchase that was literally 2 seconds before!!! Now the cashier was nice but she called over Irene I am guessing the manager she said the girl had to do a return then give it to me ! Now I know she could have just done a post coupon - but instead she made a big deal of it ! Then went I left the cashier to do it herself she went to help another customer I was laughing at me when I turned around because I want to coupon for two dollars I was so embarrassed. The manager of the store is the most unprofessional rude person I have ever in my life but I showed up on a Friday evening at 7:15 to buy a birthday card and get some wrapping paper and he locked the door right in front of me and would not let me in staying is store was now closed well according to the Internet the hours of operation are until 10 PM there is no reason to close down the store that early on a Friday evening when you clearly have customers and are making a profit will never be going back there read more

Went into the Riverbank store for a few things and had trouble finding one. Saw 2 CVS female employees in isle 4 who were loudly complaining about another female employee. Blonde lady was complaining about another female employee who wanted to take too many breaks, I heard bitch this and bitch that and "I told Joe she can't do that" and all kinds of other remarks. The other female employee was a shorter Hispanic lady who was readily agreeing with the blonde. Went to checkout and Joe was the only one working the register! He calls for "Jan" to come help and low and behold, it was the loud foul mouthed blond employee from isle 4!!! Then I got to hear Jan and Joe both angry at customers for not using the self checkout system. I tried one and it locked up! Luckily other one worked. Anyway, if CVS ever reads these, please fire Joe and Jan, they are really making your store look bad! read more

Pharmacy manager, I believe her name is Lorena is one of the rudest people I've met in a while. I understand these are trying times and stress may be high but don't take it out on customers. If I call with a question, why cut me off 4 times before I get a chance to ask it? She began answering the question she thought I was going to ask, and when I informed her I knew the answer she already told me but that wasn't the question she got mad. I have been using this Pharmacy for 18 years, No more, they are the worst ever, long lines, that don't have your prescriptions ready as promised, then they don't bill it to the correct insurance. I moved to Riverbank in September. I had all my prescriptions transferred from Modesto CVS to Riverbank CVS. Twice now I've had to go into Riverbank cvs and ask why I'm still getting text from Modesto cvs. Again, third attempt in getting the correct data entered. The lines in the pharmacy are extremely long!! One cashier with no call for help! Today no difference!! I received a text from cvs alerting me my prescription is ready for pick up. I go to find out yet again the prescription was filled at the Modesto cvs! Three months folks three months and still don't have my account transferred to Riverbank cvs! Ok we'll go stand in another line to find out why!! Two weeks ago I go to Riverbank cvs to pick up three prescription. One is a controlled substance, that I have been refilling for seven years. I know the protocol!!! The A pharmacist comes over to the cashier and starts scolding me! Pharmacist,You must call a day before your prescription is due to be refilled on your controls substance. Me, ok I always do that. This time I received a text that the prescription was ready for pick up. She continued to interrupt my response to her!!! Pharmacist, we are on probation here and you need to make sure that you're following what I'm telling you!! Me, ok why are you on probation and again started scolding me in front of a line full of customers! She walks away and I say to the cashier. I will be transferring out of this CVS. Who does that? Scolds a customer I was mortified!! She Simi heard me and yelled across her counter. What did you say? Me, I said who does that scolding a customer?! That I'm transferring out of here! Pharmacist, continued in HER scolding me!!! I left... Today, I told the manager my experience from one particular pharmacist. Manager, he knew right away who I was referring to! So, whew! If, you are aware that customers are coming to you with complaints. Why haven't corporate done something about her rude attitude! Manager, told me he'd get it taken care of. This is not my pharmacy, but I've been here multiple times picking up for a friend. There is always an issue. One clerk has difficulty making change, once while my friend sat in the car on way back from a procedure I went in to pick up the two RX already filled. Since one was a controlled substance it was in the safe. But the only person allowed to give it to me was interviewing a prospective employee. I purchased one of the two and then was informed that I would have to wait until the i interview was completed. I waited over 15 minutes and complained. The clerk said you have not been here that long. I showed them the receipt which showed the time and it was over 15 minutes. This last issue involved ER Rex which need more primary doctor approval.i was promised this request had been faxed to the primary doctor and it did not happen. I suggest that more employee training should be done. Would not recommend at this point. read more

We had an issue with an expired product. When it was returned,Dion, our customer service person handled it perfectly. He was apologetic, refunded our money and provided credit for another product. Kudos to Dion for handling this situation like a true customer service professional. read more

My first comment: My "controlled" pain medication was given to a complete stranger a few years ago ... I had to call the Sheriffs Department and make a police report before I could get another prescription from my doctor ... we viewed the security camera with the sheriffs department and caught it on camera ... a complete stranger ... My second comment: My husband picked up his prescriptions a few months ago and brought one home for me ... CVS "kindly" filled a prescription that I had not taken in over a year ... they charged my husband $20 for the prescription that I did not order ... I had to have a fight with them to return the prescription that I did not order ... and get a refund for the $20 they charged me ... for a prescription that I did not order ... I went to pick up my "controlled" pain medication this last Saturday ... and the head pharmacist threatened me ... I was told that if I did not move my other prescriptions to CVS that they would not fill my pain medication prescription next month ... she couldn't tell me if that is a "CVS" policy ... or a "State" policy ... just that they WOULD NOT FILL MY PAIN MEDICATION PRESCRIPTION NEXT MONTH IF I DIDN'T MOVE MY OTHER PRESCRIPTIONS TO THEIR PHARMACY .... This pharmacy is UNDER PROBATION ... for good reason ... Don't use them ... they are probably threatening other people to move their medications to their pharmacy to cover the attorney fees and court fees they have to pay ... They are AWFUL !!!! read more

Just stopped in to look. Store seemed nicely setup and staff were appropriate. I can't really give a longer or fair review since I was in and out in literally minutes. Great place to use the bathroom though if you are passing thru. It's cleanliness could use a little work but it wasn't unbearable all things considered. read more

This is the worst pharmacy in every way. The staff is unbelievably slow, lines are longer than at Disneyland and there's always a problem of some sort. I loved Obrien's pharmacy and am so angry CVS bought it out. Use Yelp to find another independent pharmacy nearby. I can't wait until our prescriptions can be moved away from this hellhole. It also stinks in here. Walmart looks attractive in comparison. I'm writing this while waiting in line and have had plenty of time to write this eloquent review. read more

This place just straight up upset me tonight. I notice that I had to make a run to get hearing Aid batteries for myself I I'm hard of hearing in both ears and wear Hearing Aids in both as well. I say to myself I better go get some and in Riverbank the only store that sells yellow size 10 HA batteries are CVS. I go into the store and I always check the expiration date on them due to some past stores not checking or tryn to sell expired product for half off or full price like they did tonight to me. I saw there was a lot of double bundles of batteries for 50% off so I thought wow awesome I wonder why they don't come cheap trust me. I look at the back and all the batteries that are on so called sale. have been expired since MARCH 2017 that's almost a year and they are trying to pull a fast one on me and every other hearing impaired person out there. I ask the casher as I take a the batteries that I can carry like 13 packs and ask for the manager. The lady says I'm the manager how can I help you sir. I explain to her that she can not have these on the shelf is not right and against the law that protects disabled people in California. She said I know but if they want to return them they can. I said but your selling product to disabled people that does not work and will not work more than 10 min I know is happen to me trust me I been wearing hearing Aids for 12 years now really. I said how about if I get an a car accident cuz I couldn't hear do to the fact that you sold me a product that I depend on that will not work and fault on me at a very dangerous movement and I end up hurting other people. she said I understand is just that the person who brings that product here is behind and has not removed them really behind 10 months BS. I think I'm going to proceed this and get a class action law suit on these people. this is unaccepted I assured her is not an excused that there behind this is placing people in danger her casher seen to agree with me by stating I totally agree with you. read more

I have been going to this pharmacy for the last 7 years and their customer service has been steadily going down hill. I'm diabetic and have several other health issues. My medications are extremely important to my health. There have been way too many occasions where this pharmacy has either failed to fill my prescription as agreed or promised and failed to notify me or they just simply gave contradicting information from employee to employee. Resulting in unreasonable delays and confusion to me. Their responses have been completely illogical and obdurate. They obviously could care less about decent customer relations or service. I am now looking for a different pharmacy to take care of my needs. read more
