I had a very negative experience with valley optometric. They advertised contacts online at a significant discount to me. I purchased these contacts and picked them up upon delivery. The next day I received a call and was told it was a mistake on their part and I needed to give the contacts back. I was disappointed and felt it was not my fault that this mistake happened so I went in to speak to the manager Lillian. She explained it was one of her employee's mistake and was asking for me to give the contacts back. I asked them to please, if I give the contacts back to hang on to them for me so I can purchase them directly from you due to the inconvenience of this mix-up. At this point she threatened to kick me out of the practice if I did not give back the contacts. I told them I had a receipt and proof of the discount offer and had no obligation to give them back but as a courtesy I would give them back to them if they would accommodate me by hanging on to them and selling them to me at the price that was correct not the erroneous one caused by their employees mistake. Lillian angrily said she would see what she could do and proceeded to get me kicked out of the practice because I would not respond to her threats so she carried through on her threat to kick me out of the practice. I was given false advertisement and tricked into this problem by their mistake. When I asked for an accommodation and agreed to pay the amount they wanted that was not enough for them. I would not recommend them to anyone. They have signs all over saying that they will adjust your glasses at your own risk. This means if they break your glasses in attempting to adjust them you are financially responsible. Apparently though if they make a mistake and they are responsible for something they will put all the blame on the customer Make threats and carry through on these threats if they don't get exactly what they want. read more

The wife and I have been going here for a few years now, we love the care we get. Today my wife needed some readers and after our checkup frank was very helpful in getting her fitted for a couple pairs of glasses, he was very patient with her trying on about 20 pairs of different glasses and knowledgeable about every pair. When this business office/optometrist office made an appointment for me, I provided the name of my insurance provider to her. I rearranged my day to be able to be there. When I checked in for my appointment the receptionist informed me they don't accept my insurance. She offered no apologies, forgive me's. She just stared at me. What happened to this optometrist's office? I have been a patient since they were located on Tully & Briggsmore. I know my original Dr retired and they have new doctors in, but did he take all the common sense with him. There must be over 15 people working the front desk, and not one of those individuals thought to offer me the professional courtesy to call me before I arrived. My first visit to this office a few years ago was great. However the doctor has since retired. I went in for my annual eye exam and ended up seeing Dr. Wong. This appointment felt so rushed and it felt like he didn't listen to any of my concerns. When reading lines, I advised I could see one of the bottom rows and he had me strain to literally guess at them. I even said "umm are you wanting me to guess?" He also seemed annoyed when I'd ask him to go back to pervious lenses when I could t decide which was more clear. I advised that I was having difficulty seeing road signs or any other signs from a distance. This man told me that I was wrong and that I should be able to. What?!? The best part was, after the exam he diagnoses me with 20/20 vision. He calls in the assistant and tells her to set me up with glasses with all the bells and whistle films, anti glare, etc. wtf?! 20/20 and they were still trying to sell me glasses?! I didn't even entertain the conversation. Overall, my experience with Dr. Wong was whack. I'm never making another appointment with this business in the future. read more

I have been going to Valley Optometric for over 50 years. Dr. Daily was who I saw all this time until he retired. I've now seen Dr. Wong for the last 3 years. He's not as "warm and outgoing" as Dr. Daily, but I do feel like he is very competent and dedicated to providing the best eye care to his patients. The office staff is exceptional! Roni helped me select frames recently, and also spent time adjusting and tightening some of the frames on some of my other glasses. Just as another review stated my first doctor retired. I too went to see Dr Wang. The first time he was very rude and short with me. I thought we'll everyone has a bad day. A month later I had to have a recheck as my glasses weren't working. He was very rude short and condescending. I do not recommend Dr Wang. He needs to find a new profession. I waited 2weeks after I received my new glasses before posting a review ......I've always had a positive experience with this staff and I feel very comfortable with Dr Wong He's very easy to talk to and makes the optimal and best adjustments to my prescription needs.... I'm seeing better with these new glasses and I can drive at night without all the glare and he recommended some eye vitamins that I find seems to be helping my eye health much better than the stuff I was buying from Costco. My review went from 5 stars to 1 star. The patient/ customer service has significantly declined since Dr. Daily retired. Currently still waiting to see Dr. Wong and my apt time was 3:40, it is now 4: 31 just to pick up my contacts. Thank goodness it didn't take a whole month to pick up my contacts like it did last time! Also, when I was sent a reminder card for my yearly check up I was given a date and time. When I showed up at said date and time they told me the appointment was canceled because " I DIDN'T CALL TO CONFIRM". Seriously lack of consideration and communication with patients. Left this appointment at 4:46. Waited nearly an hour to see the Dr. for 15min. Might be time to find a new place. read more

I am a new patient and today was my first visit. They are taking several precautions due to covid Including: visits are appointment only, masks required, temperature taken upon arrival, and requiring you wash your hands when you arrive. I did not wait long to be seen. The technician was very knowledgeable and explained every piece of equipment that was being used. Before using any equipment they wipe it down in front of you so you know that it is clean when being used. This is the first time I've had a photo taken of my eye which was a neat tool. I saw the optometrist Dr.Kennedy and he was very kind, got to know me a little bit, and did not rush through the visit. After being seen I was set up with another technician to look at new frames, I explained the style I preferred and she brought out the best she could match to my current style. I look forward to remaining a patient here for future eye check ups. read more

Made an appointment six months in advance. Was constantly bombarded with calls and text messages to confirm my appointment. My schedule is a week by week so I waited until the last text the week prior to scheduled appointment. Showed up on time and was rudely turned away due to not responding 2 or more weeks prior to appointment. Nothing but trouble from this company. Tried to cancel a Monday appointment on Friday morning but the have no way to leave a message as they are closed on Friday. These people are the greatest! After getting a bad prescription from another optometrist and getting the run around when I tried to complain, I remembered that a friend had recommended these folks a few years ago. I probably put them on the back burner because they're about 20 miles away. But I did remember that they use Medicare to help me reduce my costs, so I made an appointment. They took me through a retina scan, an a battery of other tests and then on to Dr Wong. He was polite and efficient and gave me a new prescription that is working wonderfully in my new glasses. All this cost me less than half of what my wife paid at Target. If you're on Medicare, be sure and check these people out. read more

I don't recommend getting glasses here. I picked sunglasses and when I received them I couldn't see out of them. I returned them. They redid them. I went back again and again I couldn't see out of them. I brought them back. I asked for my money back and insurance credit. The girl promised me they would be fixed, give them a chance to make them right. They redid them again. I couldn't pick them up when they when they were done as I was out of the country. When I finally picked them up ( I take responsibility for not picking them up immediately) I still can't see out of them. I was told I couldn't return them because it was more than 90 days since I originally ordered them. They then told me that because of the curve of the frame that I wouldn't be able see peripherally. No one said that when I originally ordered them, nor on the 2 subsequent returns. So I paid( and my insurance paid) for glasses I can't wear. Buy glasses here at your own peril. read more
