Customer service needs to be greatly approved at this location. I recently got out of the hospital. I was put in the hospital the first time because I was experiencing a rapid decrease in blood pressure. Because of this I was taken off blood pressure medication. When I was released from the hospital, I was given a prescription for Losartan Potassium 50 Mg Tab with the instructions to take it if my blood pressure got over 140/90 which I did until the day before yesterday. Then my blood pressure skyrocketed. I still had my regular blood pressure medication, Losartan-HCTZ 100-25 Mg Tab. Since it was after 5 pm and the doctor's office was closed, I decided to go and talk to the pharmacist. That was a big mistake. What resulted was being talked to like a child just because I could not understand which Losartan the very rude pharmacist was referring to. First of all this pharmacist that I had never seen before had a very heavy accent and my hearing is not what it used to be. All I could get out of it was Losartan. I asked him which one and he just kept saying Losartan. Then he told me that I needed to listen when a pharmacist tells me something and that he had told me four times. I said that I am a retired teacher and I know how frustrating it can be to have to repeat something over and over, but could he please repeat it one more time because I didn't catch it. Is it Losartan Potassium 50 Mg Tab or Losartan-HCTZ 100-25 Mg Tab? He refused to tell me so I ended up having to take a guess. Fortunately, I guessed correctly. My question is this? Should a pharmacist have more patience with a 60 year old confused, hard of hearing, little old lady than that? I was polite and respectful to him. Shouldn't I at least deserve the same? At the very least he could have just pointed to the correct medication. I brought in both of them. It was such a terrible experience that if I see this mighty pharmacist there again, I will leave and come back later to get my prescription. Maybe better yet, I should just go to another pharmacy where I am respected in spite of my age and lack of hearing. read more

I don't generally leave reviews but after so many bad experiences at this pharmacy, I can confidently say it is a miracle if you receive your already ready prescription in less than 20 minutes (due to lines). I don't understand how this pharmacy is busy at all times, with lines both in-person and at the drive thru. I know they automatically transferred all of rite aid's customers when rite-aid shut down so I assume that's what caused this constant slowdown, but there had to have been more planning than just their customer count doubling right?? I will say i don't recall the staff ever being rude, so I appreciate that aspect, but the wait is something I just can't get past. I was sick with a viral infection, feeling like garbage and needing to go home, but received a text that my prescription was ready so I was hoping the medication would help me feel better, but I felt defeated after seeing both lines and seeing no movement in 5 minutes then switching to the other and also seeing no movement. read more

They filled but LOST my prescription in the pharmacy. Then couldn't refill it because they didn't have anymore of my medication. 24 hrs later said "oh well" , YOU need to go to another CVS and get it filled(my ins had already paid). I used CVS Pharmacy for the first time today. I am so impressed with their customer service. I mistakenly gave my doctor the wrong pharmacy to fill my prescription but didn't realize it until after the doctor's office was closed. I contacted CVS and they (persistently) called the incorrect pharmacy until they sent the prescription. I was able to get my prescription the same day. Yay! Then to top that off, they were able to give me an additional discount on my prescription. Double Yay! CVS Pharmacy has a new happy customer! read more

This CVS seems to have a high rate of turn over for managers in the pharmacy department. In my opinion, the last one wasn't management material. However, the one now (RAJ), does an outstanding job & treats customers with respect. Also, the others are courteous & do a very good job. read more

I do not write reviews about any businesses in Turlock, because I was a business my self, I know it is hard to please everyone all the time, but this time I needed to say something about the CVS pharmacy. I do not go their because my wife picks up the med when we get notified. This was the first time in about 4 to 5 month that she could not pick up the order. When I was standing their, no one else in line, it took then almost 10 minutes to acknowledge me. As I was standing watch the employee behind I notice that none of area around counter was clean, the dust around the employee side was covered with dust, not just a little dust but it appears that they had failed to dust the area for a month or longer. This concerned me, they handle med. what does the area looks like that we cannot see. I am taking my business to a cleaner Pharmacy. read more

I agree with others about how horrible the pharmacy is here. For the most part the employees are nice but there is a certain pharmacist that needs to be addressed. His customer service is horrible. For this pharmacist to be a pharmacy manager, the pharmacist does not accept responsibility for screw ups at the pharmacy. Always passing the buck! Every time I go in to pick up my prescriptions, there is something missing. My prescription has four different components and each time, I am always missing something. I must have each component otherwise I can't administer my medication. E I have brought the issues up with the District Manager and I hope these issues get solved. It is not fair to have to wait again and again just to receive all four components of my Prescription. Did I mention, this pharmacy refused to fill a prescription prescribed by a licensed physician? The District Manager (DM) had called me and he too was shocked to hear a certain pharmacist refused to fill a prescription by a license physician. I love how the pharmacist overrides the direction of a license Physician. I wish I could paint the picture better because it would shock you. I know pharmacist have a duty to make sure every prescription filled will not harm the patient. I can appreciate that and I thank the pharmacists who catch screw ups. Man I can go on and on about this place. I am hoping the DM takes care of the issues otherwise it will be time to move pharmacy. ***UPDATE*** Here we go again. I had my Doctor's office call in a refill and Pharmacist John is now dictating how he wants my Doctor's office to call it in. Are you kidding me? It has been the same way for over two years. In speaking with the staff from my Doctor's office, she felt like she was being "talked down to." Her job was to call in a prescription and not be talked down to. It was to the point where she said she had to bite her tongue. Unacceptable for sure! Am I being retaliated against because I made a complaint against CVS pharmacy? It is obvious that I am by the way they're making it difficult to refill my prescription. The District Manager reassured me that the pharmacist would not retaliate against me for the complaint. Obviously the pharmacy is. This has to stop NOW! People should not be treated this way at all especially staff from a Doctor's office who were simply calling in a prescription for the patient. I only gave this pharmacy 1 star because I can't give none! I had a prescription waiting and they notified me it was ready. I signed in to the app the next day and the prescription was gone! I waited on the phone for an hour trying to get a resolution and no one answered the phone. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. At the store, The pharmacy tech told me if they answered the phone they couldn't help the people in line. How rude! I'm switching my prescriptions somewhere else where they actually want customers!!! read more

This place is rediculous. They have a lock for the bathroom and every person I asked to open it said I'll get someone to open it for you but knowone ever came and an employee even walked passed me talking on the phone and didn't help me at all! After about 20 min I finally went to the front of the store where there was one employee and I asked her to open the door she gave me the same response and then called for someone to open it . The same girl who was on the phone came out of a room still on the phone and opened it. Once I was in there was no toilet paper in either stall so I went and knocked on the door that she came out if and all I hear is "really are you fucking serious" it took everything in me not to go off . Been going to CVS for years nice people n great customer service. I been getting my meds with CVS n one thing i like so close to hm.

This pharmacy has the worst wait times!! There always seems to be a line, but even when there isn't, the wait times are horrendous. One afternoon, we went to pick up a prescription that had been called in 3 days before and it wasn't ready. I asked if I could pick it up the following day as soon as they opened and lady informed me that they are busy and that they will be working on other prescriptions. When I reminded her that it had called in 3 days prior she say they will try. The phone will ring for what seems to be eternity before it's answered. If it wasn't that my Insurance pays for prescriptions through CVS, I would have chosen a different pharmacy. I am not sure if this is a trend in all other CVS Pharmacies, but it is on the one on Geer Road, Turlock. I wish they could improve on their wait times. read more

The level of incompetence here is beyond belief. The hospital informed us they had electronically sent a perscription to the pharmacy a couple hours early, an hour later we drive by the pharmacy. (total of three hours from the time the hospital said they'd sent the perscription electronically) I was informed that not only was the perscription not ready, but they hadn't even received it. I called the hospital asking them to resend the prescription (taking the nurse away from her duties helping patients) she assured me it had been sent and to have the pharmacy call her if they still claimed they hadn't received it. As soon as I hung up with the nurse at the hospital, the pharmacy calls and let's me know the perscription is ready to be picked up. (About 15 minutes after we stopped at the pharmacy) Why couldn't they have just told the perscription wasn't ready, but they had received it? If this were an isolated incident I would just over look it, I understand occasionally things happen. However this type of misinformation and miscommunication happens nearly everytime I've been here. read more

I have never experienced such slow service. I was on hold to speak to a pharmacist for over 30 minutes to see if a prescription was ready that had been sent over three hours before from urgent care. No prescription, and waited almost six hours to get something... from URGENT CARE (meaning it was really necessary to get it ASAP.) They only get a 1 star because I'm unable to give them a 0. I was compeletely disappointed and would NEVER recommend a CVS pharmacy to anyone in the future. The pharmacist, John, was extremely rude and unfriendly and wanted nothing to do with helping me. I ended up going to Walmart super center on Fulkerth and the pharmacist was awesome. Very genuine and helpful, and yes he had to call the doctor (which John at CVS refused to do) and got everything cleared up for us. I use this store quite often when I can't find what I need at Rite Aid. CVS will usually have it. Reason I don't come here first is because they are higher priced than Rite Aid for the Items I require. Other than that this is a very good store and the staff here is very helpful if you can't find what you want. read more

I kept trying to click the 1 star to see if I could set it to a 1/2 star, apparently not an option. While it's doubtful many check Yelp before selecting a pharmacy, I'm moved to write a review in the off chance it might help to spare some suffering soul in need of getting a prescription filled. Look elsewhere! Cross a county line if you need to, it'll probably be faster. I've had the unfortunate experience of filling a number of prescriptions here. The first warning should have been the long line (there is ALWAYS a line - and not one or two people but stretching down the aisle). But if that isn't enough, lift your eyes passed the counter and behold the forlorn countenances of a sad collection of people who deeply hate their jobs. It's worse than that though. It's not the first level of dissatisfaction - "this job kinda sucks" but several levels deeper to "this place is fundamentally broken. It's so bad I can't even care anymore". I'm in the midst of this most recent encounter. I've been on hold for over an hour. 1 hour on hold with no communication involving an actual person. I mean, come on. This isn't some major city like LA or New York, it's Turlock. I even checked the news to make sure the zombie apocalypse hadn't finally come. It hasn't. I know most people probably would have hung up by now, but it's a morbid curiosity at this point to find out how long it's actually going to take. Probably a small measure of defiance mixed in. You will not escape speaking to me. So yeah, Raley's or Walgreens unless your a masochist - in which case, come on down! read more

God, this has to be the worst pharmacy in America, don't even bother trying to call, you'll never get through, ever.

I want to make this clear, this is at least the 5th time this happened. Another gentleman in the store said he has had the same exact issues. Called in my prescription today at 10;33 AM, and didn't hear anything (not at all surprising). I go into their store at 3:00 PM, and my prescription still isn't ready, with the lady up front trying to give me the same line that "it's being processed right now." No it's not, you guys have not made any attempt to fill my order. I wait 10 more minutes, before raising my voice about how there are 11 people behind the counter, and it's taken 4-1/2 hrs any my order still hasn't been filled. I make them bring me the pharmacist on hand, and it's amazing how my order was in my hands in 5 minutes. Funny how she had all the time in the world to talk to customers she knew, but no time to fill my order. CVS can check the surveillance tapes to see that's true for themselves. I only went to this location because I thought the drive-though would be convenient. It would be, if the location had it's crap together and did their job. I understand it takes a lot of chemistry to get to that position, but for someone who went through engineering, these people just count pills for a living. Maybe they need to take a little more math and business classes, and less chemistry. I've even dealt with socialized medicine when I was stationed in England, and STILL, this is the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. My business is going to Raley's where I should have gone in the first place. read more

If you can find another pharmacy in town, you'll probably receive better and faster service. At least 6 or 7 times, they have failed to follow through on requests I've made and their service is not very good. I call in and they promise to have made the request for your rx. A day later they have done nothing. 2 days later they're still confused. They're not friendly and they need more help. The cashier has a line backed up to the other end of the store for regular check out half the time. And even though there are only 2 people ahead of you at the pharmacy it could take an hour to get out the door. Be ready to wait and to face another challenge. Best of luck! read more

Extremely bad service ... 45 minutes waiting in line to pick up a prescription that was ordered the previous day. The employee who was at the counter looked at me, completely ignored me and told his supervisor his shift was over. I had to wait for somebody else who just came and said that my prescription wasn't ready and I needed to wait for another 20 minutes. Really? I need to switch pharmacy immediately!!!!
