This Walgreens is either understaffed or lacking in basic customer service. If picking up a script the line is long and slow, sometimes up to 30 mins, and the drive through is at leat 20 mins of idleling in the car, this is unacceptable especially when not feeling well. I like how Walgreens has a drive thru for prescriptions. What I don't like,is that the line gets very long. There's many times that they take a very long time. It would be nice if they had two people working the drive thru instead of one. I feel that would help move the line of car a bit quicker. read more

The pharmacy drive through is the worst we have ever experienced. They are unprofessional and rude. The woman at the window would not look into billing the second insurance which forced us into paying an extremely high deductible. We've never had to pay before and she wouldn't even attempt. Several times she told me that I was "holding up her line" with my request for her to look it up. I told her I waited my turn in line as well. We will never use this pharmacy again. Pharmacy still has not filled prescription due to "staffing shortages", What a complete joke.

I wish I could give zero stars. I will never use this pharmacy ever again! The staff is always super rude and seem like they would rather be doing ANYTHING else than actually helping their customers. They even avoid eye contact. Long story short, I received the automated call that my prescription was ready at 3:03PM. I got to the pharmacy at 5PM, using the drive-thru. I had an issue in the drive-thru and ended up having to go inside. After a long wait, that consisted of the staff avoiding me and a huge lack of communication, I didn't end up leaving the store until 6:45!! That is NOT okay. Usually when people have to go to the pharmacy they are not at their best, or they are caring for someone who is not at their best, a little kindness and just some basic human courtesy goes a long way, especially when you are in a customer-based field. I like Walgreens because they have a variety of Items that draw my attention and their prices are ok and it's where I get my film developed within an hour I might add. Yes I'm old fashioned. Still use cameras with film. They also have a nice food section where you can find some good bargins. read more

Just like any type neighborhood convenient store. Prices are really jacked up but certain items are really discounted. Unfortunately just not the items I purchase here. I like that it's really close to a lot of food places. Pizza and Italian ate two of my favorites that I don't have to drive all the way toward highway 99 to get to. Workers are really thorough at processing credit cards. They asked for my ID with my purchase, which I appreciate since a lot of places don't. It shows me they are paying attention. read more

My dentist gave me a prescription this morning for a surgery tomorrow. Kaiser is my health care provider in Modesto. It was too far to drive to Kaiser pharmacy so I went to Walgreen for my prescription. It took 25 minutes to drop it off after I had complained about the waiting time. The mouthy Indian girl at the counter told me to pick it up in about 20-25 minutes. I returned there 25 minutes later. I had to wait in line for another 25 minutes. Then the woman at the counter said " you have to wait another 10 minutes. The total amount of time waiting after I have dropped the prescription off is at least 1 hour. Not going back there again! If I could go 0 stars I would. Not only does there employee lie but there coupons do to. I spent money got a coupon that says if you spend 25$ or on your next purchase get 7$ off. So I went back to get diapers and she said I couldn't use it until next time I buy. I told her that doesn't make sense it says on your next purchase not buy 25$ or more then another 25$ a second time and you can use it. Walgreens needs to word the coupon correctly. Then the automatic 3$ off for having an account wasn't there. I asked about that and she said oh it doesn't count towards these diapers. I told her go look at the tag it's 3$ off I have am account with you. She replied I can't I'm busy your holding up my line. So all in all I spent 35$ on diapers that if they would of honored there tag and coupon and not lie would of been 25$. After that I asked if I could use my 5$ walgreeb bucks she said no because I'm using the 7$ one which I told her no you said I'm not using it because I have to wait until next time. So I'm using it when I want 5$ off but not using it when I want 7$ off. Sad thing is they carry the only diapers for my special needs son that work and fit him. Now I know to just stick to Amazon and order early and often. Will not be doing that again. read more

Their drive thru pharmacy is the worst. I go their if Walmart pharmacy is closed only because their pharmacy department is not the best. The guy that helped me thru the drive thru was rude. I have been a pharmacy customer here for over 6 years. Now I will never go back!! Over the past year the customer service in the pharmacy has continued to decline. And the clientele has progressively gotten more and more trashy. The last straw for me was waiting over an hour for medications to be filled to then find out that one was out of stock and I would have to come back another day. A few days later I went back and waited another hour (30 in line and then 30 waiting to fix issue). The issue was that I had a brand name Rx and had a manufacture copay assistance program on file to bring the copay down from $100 to be $5. Well they told me it wasn't working even though I just gave them a new account number for the new year. They had to call the program directly and since it was too busy it would be a 20 min wait just for them to make the actual call. Finally 30 mins later I find out that California state law has changed and copay assistance is no longer legal in our state. The technician that called and found this out said she had never heard of this new law that took effect Jan 1st 2018 even though it's already Feb 7th. The incompetence in this pharmacy is ridiculous they should know about new laws that affect their customers before it takes effect!!! This is their business it's unacceptable that this was "completely new information " to them. I am transferring my rx immediately and never going back. Which sucks because I like Walgreens the business and their App is awesome and hours are convenient but their staff is incompetent and that just ruins the entire experience. read more

Okay so I actually joined yelp to review this place the store is okay but the Pharmacy is horrible I tried going inside and it was pure chaos behind the counter and the wait was bad and the employees just didn't seem to know how to handle the crowd so I thought next time I'll try the drive-thru service and there was 3 people ahead of me and it took 25 minutes to get to the window and that was only because the lady ahead of me was so mad she drove off without her meds and when I pulled up the tech was going to give them to me when she realized I wasn't the same lady I overheard her say "Oh she left, whatever". This is suppose to be for the Turlock Walgreens on Geer Rd., but is showing up as San Francisco somehow??? I give this 5 star rating because of a person named Katrin in the Pharmacy. I was upset at waiting in line for so long and drove away and called someone there on Saturday 01/02/2021. That person was suppose to ship my prescription to my home and it was a good thing I called in and spoke to Katrin on Monday 01/04/2021. The person I spoke to on Saturday did not follow through and my prescription was still sitting there. The lines there are very slow and I am assuming because the company decided to do Covid testing at the drive through and they only have one line for prescriptions and Covid testing now. I am sure it pays Walgreens good money, but they are hindering the rest of us. When the testing slows down, they may find many customers have left. It would have taken 2 hrs. to get through the line, as it took 1/2 hour for two cars and there were 6 to go on Saturday. My feeling is that the Pharmacy should have 2 lines and one should be Pharmacy only. By slowing down the regular Pharmacy so much, you will hurt your business and send people to CVS where I almost changed to. If it hadn't been for Katrin, I would have changed. I had set up all my prescriptions on my app to forward to my home, but she confirmed that it was still not set up and she did it. What seriously impressed me was that Katrin followed up with me on the phone and verified my address and that all prescriptions would now be sent to my home. The company income for the testing is obvious to me. Luckily, there are people like Katrin. I would like more people like her working for me. You go Katrin!!! You are a standout! I don't know you and we have never met, it would be an honor. They just don't make people like you anymore. Most people are just working their hours with no pride in their job. Not you. read more

If you thought CVS was completely crap this place takes absolute Sh*t to a higher level . Called the pharmacy and was disconnected twice. Then when I finally hit a person I was placed on hold , then told my prescription was ready , then placed on hold and disconnected . Called the third time and then was told they didn't have my insurance information correct and to come to the store. 20 minutes later (at the store) and they finally told me that my insurance won't cover the medication at Walgreens and that my insurance will fedex it to me the next day. This is after me spending 30 minutes wandering the store and all the staff eyeing me up and down . The lady before me had the same incredibly-satisfying experience and she was almost in tears since this was a prescription for her son . I don't know what's worse, penny pinching HMOs and the pharmacies that work with them or a legislature that is controlled by corporate interests that create the narrative that decent health care is a useless luxury. read more

I came to drop off my sons prescription they asked me if I wanted to wait, I asked how long it would take they said 10-20 minutes I said okay sure I'll wait, 45 minutes later I'm pissed I go and ask what's going on, "it'll be another 5-10 minutes" are you serious???? I had such a run around with them when I switched from my old Walgreens to this one, my last Walgreens was in Ceres and they never gave me so much crap. When I switched over they said they had all my prescription ready, when I picked it up it was shorted a few pills. Another occasion they said they could give me the quantity they have in stock and I could pick the rest up later, when I called to see if I could get the rest they said I have to wait til the new prescription is up. This kind of stuff hasn't happened to me until I got to this pharmacy. Not to mention I was waiting a good 15 mins at the drop off line and the woman at the desk was on the phone and using the computer, when I finally said something she said the window isn't opened, I said you couldn't have said something sooner? And she slammed the window in my face and said "oh the window looks opened to you?" She is extremely unprofessional and rude. 0stars. read more

I wish I could give ZERO stars. BEWARE! This is the WORST pharmacy ever. Horrible, horrible pharmacist and rude staff. My husband was just released from the hospital with a prescription for antibiotics and a hand-written refill perscription for a pain medication. The pharmacist REFUSED to fill the refill, citing 'legality' and a need for a diagnosis before filling the prescription. Then she decided to call his hospital for a diagnosis instead actually reading his discharge paperwork, which we had brough with us. He still has the wrist band for the hospital on! It's a damn refill for a prescription that lasts for a year, which he was prescribed 6 months ago. After she sat on the phone for a least 15 minutes and was unable to reach anyone at the hospital, the pharmacist decided that she could ignore the 'legality' she and her staff has been citing and fill the pain - med prescription anyway. NO THANK YOU! WE DO NOT WANT YOUR BACK - PEDDLING, HIPOCRITICAL CHARITY! My grandfather brought in his prescription 2 weeks ago, he was told by Diego it would be ready in an hour. My grandfather goes back, they cant find his prescription and say they dont have it and claim he never came there. Basically acting like my grandpa is a crazy person! So I call, explain he was definitely there and he's on his way back for his very vital medication. He arrives explains his first visit. Not only was my grandfathers prescription found...but it was found after being dug out of the garbage can!!! How careless for any prescription let alone a vital one to be lost! This store is horrible their employees are rude I was buying some cream for my baby they a large one for 7.99 and a small one for 4.99 so I grab two of each for extras. I get to the register and that's not what it rang up I told the cashier so she says something to another girl working who was super rude and yells at her it is what it scans instead of checking. I think she knew I was not in the mood. I told the cashier it's fine I might have read it wrong let me just pay and go. Then the rude one decides to go check and cashier's like oh she's going just wait I told no it's ok you can tell her she can shove the price tag up her you know what. She didn't give care a minute ago it's almost 11 pm I just want to get home and her rude attitude changed mine. I have been in retail as a manager and it's tough working retail but customer service is super important. I would be pissed if this happened in my store. I was looking for the nearest pharmacy to drop off my prescription and this was the one I saw. I'm desperately regretting coming here. The line to drop off/pick up is crazy long and takes forever. Then when it is my turn I'm told to wait because someone with the special card or whatever just walked up. Then I get help and I'm told I have to go down to another window because I've never been here before. Walking into the place is sketchy because there's homeless people outside. The up to no good homeless people. Asking for money. One gentleman asks me politely if I can spare change and I tell him I'm sorry I don't have any cash. Then leaving the store this guy pops up with his face beat to shit and a neck brace on and asks me if I have change for a $20. I'm not stupid. I know your probably beat to shit because you have already robbed the wrong person. I grew up in harsh neighborhoods so it takes a lot for me to feel uneasy. Walking to my car I was clutching my purse and looking over my shoulder expecting someone to run up and snatch my purse. I hate that I have to come back to pick up my meds. NEVER AGAIN! read more

If you look at the pictures posted here the in-store line and the drive-thru line that says it all. One time my doctor's office faxed and called 4 times for my Rx's and then they told me that they didn't receive anything from my doctor's office about my Rx. This place sucks and the techs are incompetent and extremely rude. It's a crying shame too this place used to be decent but now it's a joke! The pharmacy staff is really rude when you call over the phone and even when going and picking up the prescription. My doctor called to let me know that my prescription was placed and ready so I checked on the app which then said order processing. I then called to let them know the doctor called me to let me know at 5pm that it was approved and the lady over the phone told me no it has not, there's a voicemail but we haven't checked it. I live 30 min away and came just for my prescription and she tells me to call back in 30 min to see if they have heard the voicemail already. It's now 7pm! Really ridiculous customer service there! read more
