Good luck printing pictures here if they look good. The employees are ridiculous with their assumptions. I did an online order to print a family picture, that we took ourselves using a tripod. I got a call from some clueless employee telling me that they'll need me to provide the photographer's release document for them to give me the picture. I explained that I took this picture myself using my own camera. The employee then asked "So you took the picture?" in a tone implying that I was lying. No where on the picture was there any watermark or anything to indicate that this picture was taken by a professional photographer. Every time I come here to pick up a prescription, I hate myself. There is ALWAYS (let me reiterate ALWAYS) an issue. My doctor sent in a prescription over 24 hours ago. I checked the Walgreen's app and it indicated the prescription was filled. I get here only to be told that it is not filled and I can wait for 10-15 minutes. The only thing that is keeping me from having a stroke right now is at least I didn't have to wait in line for 20 minutes like I usually do. As soon as I finish this review, I am going to see what other pharmacies are covered by my insurance and I will be switching. I will drive further and take my chances that wherever I go they will provide better service. Fast forward 30 days.... I didn't post the above review as I got distracted and forgot about it. I ended up waiting for 20-25 minutes as they filed my Rx after they helped someone else who came in after me. She wasn't in good health and was told her prescriptions would be ready at 7:00 ... big shocker they weren't ready. I didn't mind they helped her first but they didn't even acknowledge it or apologize for the extra wait. So yesterday I needed a refill on the same Rx and decided (foolishly) to give them another try since I didn't 't take the time to find another pharmacy. I ordered the refil via their app and requested the Rx be mailed to me. Simple enough, right? Nope! I got a phone call and a text that it was ready to be picked up in the store! So.... I called and was told that it was filled and ready for pick up! OMG. The person on the phone was helpful and checked to see if it could be mailed... nope. She said I could cancel and reorder but I didn't want to take the chance they would screw it ip again. I will definitely be switching this Rx over to another pharmacy. This is ridiculous. read more

I'm giving the 2 stars for photo and front cashier. Pharmacy gets 0 stars. I only need prescriptions about once or twice per year. Today I tried to pick up 3 prescriptions as I stood in line with a 101 degree fever. After waiting to speak with pharm-tech, they said it would be 15 minutes. 30 minutes later not ready. I went home and decided to wait for notification call on my iPhone. I was notified 1 hour later and went back up to store to find that they only filled 1 of 3 prescriptions. They said they would put a "rush" on the other 2. Waiting 10 min with nothing, I went home again. The other prescriptions were finally ready after 4 hours!! This is completely unacceptable. Went over to Rite Aid and set up a new pharmacy account. Don't bother with this Walgreens. read more

The incompetent people in the photo department almost ruined the gift for my mother on Mother's Day. I had purchased photos from a local photo company that specializes in graduation pictures. I paid $200+ dollars to receive digital photos on a thumb drive. I ordered prints at this Walgreens and I walked in and they told me they wouldn't print them due to not have a photo release form?!?! I paid $200 for these photos! There was no other solution and they refused to print them for me. I was furious, walked out and went to another store where they printed them for me in 5 mts. I will NEVER use Walgreen's again for anything. Somebody should have called me when they received the order. This almost ruined my gift I was planning to give to their grandmothers and inhale to scramble to find a solution. read more

This store used to be OK, 3 years ago. Recently there is an middle-aged Vietnamese lady working there as the cashier. The cashier is like never been trained before. Rewards and coupons were never successfully redeemed in this store since then. And, the cashier is rude to customers like I am begging her to sell stuff to me. They have a Fedex drop off here at this Walgreens location. I tried to drop a small package there. First of, the person on the desk did not know the difference between dropOff and pickUp. I showed him the QR code for shipping, which he could not scan. He kept telling me that this is not a valid one. He paged twice for his manager. No show. After 10 min, one manager showed up. She was able to scan the QR code, but then informed me about 'password expired' for email. I am not sure what that means. To her credit, she did apologize. Bigger question for Walgreens: why do you keep that Fedex business there, if you cannot handle it? One star given because I couldn't ship my box. read more

The first thing I think of when I hear Walgreens is people shopping for last minute gifts and supplies on Thanksgiving and Christmas because it's usually the only place open. Believe it or not, Walgreens is actually open the other 363 days of the year, too, and they're stocked with over the counter and prescription medication, beauty supplies, cosmetics, candies, beverages, snacks, photo supplies, and even cleaning supplies. Mom stopped in to this Walgreens to pick up some lighted globes, swim goggles, and pool toys for a nine year old's birthday/slumber party later this evening because it was one of the few stores open at 8:00 am in the morning when we were frantically trying to pull all the last minute details together. I scored big time when I found the Fiber One Brownies that I've been looking everywhere for since a friend told me how good they were! I even picked up some Fiber One Chocolate Chip Cookies, though I haven't had a chance to try them yet. I have a wicked sweet tooth, but have been trying to eat healthier, so this was my compromised. The store seemed very clean and well stocked and the gentleman who checked our my purchases for me smiled as was very friendly when he greeted me. Fun Fact: There is a charging station for electric cars out on the sidewalk in front of this location and there was one actually plugged into it. Driving home from work one night, I had the sudden realization that there weren't any diapers at my house for my son. With a toddler that's never a good thing. Of course walking back from the baby aisle I happened to walk through the candy aisle. What was I thinking?! They have so many Russel Stover candy flavors. I bought some type of Red Velvet chocolate covered thing. Then I got hand fulls of their chocolate coconut things. I'm not even a candy fan and I couldn't help myself. I like this Walgreens branch on Santa Rita - always ample parking, some super deals and very very helpful staff. You can get specific skin care, even nice European brand. The staff are keen to help you to their own till - must be because they get a percentage of the sale. Anyhow I scratch their and they scratch mine as it helps me to avoid the main cashier area which is the only reason why this place is not getting its five stars. read more

This review is for the pharmacy. This pharmacy has got to be manned by some of the nicest pharmacy people I know! Why do I say so? Well, usually my prescriptions are emailed to them directly from my doctor, and they would fill it first. When I go to pick it up, they would first check my insurance, and if it's going to cost me a bomb, point out to me the price and ask if I STILL WANT IT! If I say, "No, I don't want it anymore," they'd understand, and are always nice about it. They aren't even mad that that they did all that work filling my prescription for nothing! This is an incredible group of people, so I always choose Walgreens as my pharmacy. Not sure if this review will help or hurt them. I hope nobody takes advantage of them after reading this. Also, the manager is very helpful and knowledgeable and the cashiers are old-timers who know where everything is. My only complaint is that it's kind of small, but it's got everything packed into a very small space. read more

Avoid using their photo service and don't expect even sub par customer service. I ordered holiday cards as I have done for years with professional photos. We recently moved and this is the first time ordering at this Pleasanton Walgreens. I ordered at 9am for a 1130pick up. Got an email saying my order was ready at 11. Came to pick up at 130pm. And then was told that they couldn't start my holiday cards because they need a photographer release note. There is nowhere on the site that has a disclaimer about a photographer release or a way to even submit this request. The woman working the register said she didn't have time to call me but expected me to send the email release to her right away so I reached out to my photographer, got an email, and forwarded it to the Walgreens store as I was standing there. I told her and her manager that I've never been asked for this before at any Walgreens and that I purchased the digital images of my photos which means that I am legally allowed to use them for personal use. I asked how I could avoid this delay next time and she told me not to use professional photos next time! They use subjective bias to enforce this rule because they printed other professional photos for me in this order with no issue. This store is ridiculous and wasted everyone's time and energy. I use the same-day service for a reason and now this woman says she doesn't know when my order will be ready but they'll call me. I get a call at 5pm thinking my cards are ready, but the same woman says she can't open the PDF file from my photographer and asks for a screenshot which means they really didn't need an official release note. Not only does this store not know how to open a file for this made-up rule, but they didn't even check the email that they made me send in front of them 4 hours prior. I never got a call but I see an email come through later that night that my order is ready for pick up. I come back the next day and another woman helps me. The manager that is running the photo printer looks at me and accuses me of lying when I say I sent the email twice. He tells the cashier to make sure again before giving me my photos and ringing me up. I thought I already paid online but she snapped and said 'no, it's just a reservation, I'm going to charge your card'. I don't trust these people and their made-up rules, so I asked her to let me check my email. I did, and the price doesn't match so I make sure it's the right order and I'm not getting charged twice. She sighs and snaps back, 'I'm going to charge your card ok?' I say fine and then she throws 3 quarters at me just to be a jerk because I asked them to check my order. This was the worst experience I've ever had at any retail store. You get what you pay for here- slow, bad quality prints, and rude. Save yourself some time and frustration and use Target, Costco, Minted or Shutterfly-- all have better quality and service. read more

Walgreens Pharmacy is understaffed and too small to adequately serve the volume of customers that use this Pleasanton Location. 1. Limited Hours and closed for lunch on weekends 2. The size of the pharmacy limits the amount of stock they have on hand and if you want a 90 day supply, chances are you will have to wait a day or longer for them to order your medication. 3. The Pharmacy is way overdue for a remodel to increase the size of the rx backroom, work area and customer area. 4. Understaffed. No matter what day or time you go, you will wait in a line for at least 10-45 minutes. 5. Customer service by Pharmacists Suck! I have re-ordered prescriptions online and have entered specific requests in the online comment area. But, when i went to get my prescription the requests was not acknowledged. I asked the pharmacist one time if she read the comments area, and she honestly answered "No. Not normally. And the pharmacy Techs do most of the refill orders." 6. Customer service - terrible at communication. Rather than call customers if there is a problem with a refill or out of stock item, or waiting for insurance to resolve an issue, what i have experienced is they wait for me to come into the store, wait in line and then tell me they're still waiting for my insurance or doctor or they have to resubmit the prescription. I have contacted the store manager, assistant manager, and call the customer service line to Walgreens to report the ongoing problems with this Pharmacy in Pleasanton. But no improvement or changes. I only use this pharmacy because my insurance in contracted with them. read more

Don't think I've seen customer service much worse than this. Here from Berkeley to pick up a prescription for my Mom, who lives in Pleasanton. The woman at the pharmacy counter was serving the woman ahead of me in line, there was no one waiting behind me. As she is finishing up with the woman ahead of me, she looks up at me and says, "we're closing for lunch", then proceeds to start lowering the metal gate in front of the pharmacy. You really couldn't take 30 secs to let me have that one prescription so I didn't need to wait here in town and waste a couple hours of my afternoon? This pharmacy made it incredibly difficult to get my pain medication post surgery. The pharmacist was very short over the phone. I was bedridden at the time so I had my mother pickup the prescription and the pharmacist was rude to her as well. He made her wait 20 minutes to fill the prescription. The surgery center called him that morning and requested it to be filled hours ago. I called in and requested it to be filled an hour ago. Would highly recommend using the Rite-Aid on Hopyard and Valley, or any CVS Pharmacy instead of this particular Walgreens. That pharmacist has a serious power trip and should not be in his role as the lead pharmacist. read more

This pharmacy has the worst customer service and overall experience I would say of any business in Pleasanton that I have experienced in the last 16 years living here. I was lucky enough to be able to switch to CVS years ago but unfortunately recently had to return to this pharmacy due to a change in insurance. Although the staff has changed they are still rude, unhelpful, slow and just not kind. The wait is always long, they don't ever have medication prepared correctly, in a timely fashion or in stock. They will not typically follow up with you when they say they will. They don't call the doctors office back when they say they will. Just overall horrible. I can't believe how bad it was getting a prescription filled here. They didn't have it when it had been called in. They said they had a prescription card for anyone who had no insurance or state assistance, but then spent two days fighting me saying I must have VA coverage because of who know why reason. Vehemently arguing that I must have it, despite having no proof or reason when I asked why they thought that. while talking to them I told them the script was sent from planned parenthood, they then said that only people with state subsistence went there so I didn't qualify. I asked for a store manager and they printed off a card 10 minutes later. I just would do anything and everything in my control to stay away from this entire building. read more

Listen to everyone. I've been here for an hour waiting for the covid vaccine #2 (with appt). The first time no one was here and still took 35 minutes because the pharmacist was stuck on the phone. There is only one pharmacist who is in charge of vaccinating as well as answering the phone and answering people's prescription questions. Everyone will be served before you. Every transaction, every person who walked in with a questions who arrived 50 minutes after you, every single phone call that comes in while you're there. This pharmacy is terrible. They lose prescriptions, there is consistency a line of 15 or 30 min. They understaff he registers at the pharmacy which RESULTS in huge wait times for people that are in no shape ton wait that long in a line. They have 2 chairs to wait in and are always occupied. The pharmacists today admitted they just don't have staff. Hire more people!!!! This is my last time here. When Walmart has better customer service you know you issue. Absolutely atrocious customer service. The manager should be embarrassed by how their store interacts. In fairness, my mood wasn't improved by calling customer service before hand. Be warned, if you are responding to an email asking if you want drive by pick up for photo cards, you may well end up with a second order on top of the first one you placed. Calling the Customer Service line was a joke. 45 minutes on hold. By that time I got a call from this store stating there would be a delay and to contact the store if I wanted to cancel. So I hung up from Customer Service hell to call the store. A bit of a delay before I was connected to a gentleman who, after I explained the situation, simply said, "I can't help with that." I then had to ask to speak to someone who could help and he said he'd transfer me. After 15 minutes, I gave up on that call. I'll have to go in to the store to resolve the issue. Avoid Walgreens Photo and this store at all costs. It's just not worth the stress! Update: Received a call from a very pleasant lady in the photo department explaining that neither order was available as their machine was broken. She asked if I wanted to cancel the second order. My wife just got yelled at by both pharmacists on duty on Sunday, 10/13.... she waited in line patiently to pick up her prescription, she got to the counter and both pharmacist (or pharmacist clerks) repeatedly yelled at her telling her "we are closing! We are closing!" Come to find out they were only closing for lunch. Interesting that they don't have a staggered lunch so that they can remain open. Whoever manages this store, needs to MANAGE their operation.... it's called CUSTOMER SERVICE... and in this case....An extreme lack thereof. read more

I was in a very ugly divorce some time back, and the pharmacy personnel actually gave a copy of my prescription records to a woman that was sent in by my husband or his attorney who claimed to be me. They didn't even ask for ID. Thankfully my rx records were benign, but still not cool that they gave them to someone who did nothing more than pretend to be me. They were reaching for anything they thought they could get because it was related to a custody dispute and Walgreen's just enabled them by not protecting my privacy as required to by law. And no, my ex husband did not win the custody case, but still I was horrified when I learned what Walgreen's had done. read more

This is really one of the most neatest Walgreens I have ever been too. 9 aisles of perfection and I know cause I've been to a lot of Walgreens! The sales in each stores are all the same. This store seems to be pretty slow. Dear employee at the photo counter, After a quick Google search I found out that infants do not need to have their eyes open for passport photos, and that a white cloth (such as the white t-shirt that you said your store didn't carry and I miraculously found not 20 feet away from where we were standing) behind their head in a car seat is an acceptable background as log as the baby is under six months of age. I want you to remember this so you never put another new mother through what I went through today. First you tried to shoo me away. Then You had me wake up my sleeping 8 week old to take what you said was an unusable photo. My baby proceeded to cry hysterically not just in your shop, but all the way home and then some. She's never been that upset her entire life. And the fact that this could have been avoided if you had been an informed employee makes me furious. The worst part was when I tried to say thank you as i left you flat out ignored me. You are an asshole. I am never EVER going to this Walgreens again. read more
