I went in to get some iced coffee. I wanted to use the bigger cup because I have to have a lot of ice in it because it melts. He told "DONT USE THAT CUP!" I asked him " what cup am I supposed to use?" He points to the regular coffee cup. I told him that that won't work because I have to fill it up with ice because it melts. He then told me "it is what it is!" So that made me upset. I tried to explain He then tells me to get the premade slushee type one. I'm diabetic. I can't have all that! All I wanted was some iced coffee. And he treated me like garbage! I told him he was very rude. He didn't care. Not helpful at all. Why couldn't I pay the coffee price put ny coffee in the bigger cup for cold beverages?? This is a totally unexceptionable way to treat customers!! He was a young guy. Maybe 25. Dark brown hair. Not very often, but occasionally I need to stop here to get gas. There are plenty of spots open. The one thing about Chevron is that they have really clean stations. My main reason for writing this review is because of the cleanliness. The window wash water is always clean. The pumps are always spotlessly clean. Yes, prices are high. It is Chevron and it is Pleasanton. The gas prices are not always that "Pleasant". Cleanliness is as close to Cheapness as I will accept obviously. read more

I come here at least a few times a week. This is more than just a gas station. The "Market" truly has some cool items you'd never see anywhere else. I often pick up a great bottle of wine (all local) on the way to a party or dinner. The staff is friendly and helpful, but best of all this place is always immaculate. There is a Jack in the Box too. I usually fill up and get a car wash along with any goodies inside. It's a great place and I'm happy to support a locally-owned business! read more

The car wash takes 8 minutes 40 seconds. After the third car, I timed it. So if you see a line of six cars, just know that you will be in the line for . . . 8:40 x 6 which is a long time. Was in line for a car wash. I paid at the wash. An employee comes out and flags to all cars to back out as there is no soap. We backed out and went inside for a refund. The employee inside played dumb and stated that the car wash is working and wouldn't believe that another employee made us back out. In a word, SLOW. The slowest gas pumps I've ever seen -- the first time in recent memory that I did not fill up the tank because I simply ran out of time and patience. The slowest car wash I've ever seen -- I paid for the wash (the line is nicely hidden from view behind a structure and bush), drove around to find 4 cars in front of me on line. A guy pulled in behind me then backed out. After waiting 5 minutes on the first car, I then backed out to because I didn't want a car wash to be a 20-minute experience. If the owner sees this, please let me know how to get a refund. The little store inside is nice. Problem is everything is just too slow. read more

This car wash is really really bad. It did a terrible job cleaning the car and the water pressure actually chipped some paint of the hood. Because of how badly their car wash dries the car, I usually pull in and dry it with their paper towels at the pumps. When I looked at the car I noticed red rust-like spots and a couple paint chip spots. I noticed it was only on the hood, top of the car and parts of the back, not the sides at all. While the car wash is "drying" your car, the top sprayers continue to leak water on your car, I believe they have rust in the sprayer and it'll show on light colored paint. I have a silver Lexus so it was very very obvious. Stay away from this terrible car wash. Not worth it and they need to retire this POS car wash. read more

Gas here is crazy expensive compared to other locations. Today it was nearly $0.50 more than down the street. They do have an automated car wash from $8-$13. I have stopped here many times on my bike ride and grabbed some snack. The inside of the store deserves 4 stars. Plenty of food and beverage options with something good on sale. What did I learn today? The car wash line was 4 cars deep. Too late to turn around. read more

I stop here every day for Drink and snack before getting on the train to head home. There are a few workers that are nice but in terms of accurate signage and point of sale they often have errors. They never admit their mistake and they never adjust for customer service read more

Sometimes all the pumps work and I'll be in and out without a hitch, other days every pump is out or they aren't reading cards or there's something else at fault. Car wash takes TEN MINUTES (I timed it after the first 2) between washes! If you have a line of cars in front of you...even 4 of them, do yourself a favor and back out & come back at night or something unless you have that kind of time to wait. I waited an hour literally. Ridiculous wait for what should be a quick drive through car wash. On top of that, it's not even a good wash. If I had known, I would have never purchased the wash. Won't do it again. I stopped in here for some quick gas and a car wash. After watching 3 cars go in and out, I aged 3 years. This wash is painfully slow. I believe it runs on 4 "D" batteries that the clerk changes out every Saturday. It looks like the soap for the cars is from the bathroom soap dispensers. I paid $11 to sit for 30 minutes waiting for a crappy car wash. Don't waste your money and go to the Spray and Wash on Stanley. For 30 minutes and $6 you can do a way better job for an external wash. Chevron, please upgrade your car wash at this location and retire the current piece of ****! read more

I heart Chevron. This used to be a Shell and I never went there even though it was the closest gas station to my house. I used to go out of my way to find a Chevron and now to my hearts desire it has appeared. I am so happy that this has been converted from a Shell to a Chevron. Great location: right off the freeway across from the fairgrounds. Well maintained and clean. I'm glad there's a Jack in the box attached in the same lot. The restrooms are clean and clearly well maintained. I'm glad the gas station is spacious, because it can get really busy sometimes! read more

Well, afyer this experience, its pretty obvious that all of Alameda Co os turning onto East Oakland getto-trash. Long story short this afternoon 4pm-5pm, i waited in line to get my carwash. There was some malfunction and i was stuck in the line, paid, and nothing worked. I pressed the help button, called them on the phone & AND CRAWLED OUT MY PASSENGER SIDE TWO TIMES to ask the atrendant for help. She REFUSED. Said, she was "all alone"...BOO HOO. Anyhow, had to ask the 4 cars behind me to back-up. One person scratched their car BTW. When i finally got out, I went in & asked for a refund & the attendant, said "i dont know how ta du dat". So no car wash. No refund. I'm hopeful that she won't have a J-O-B after I talk ro her boss. read more

I live within a mile of this gas station and end up going there for convenience, only to get gas. It is one of the most expensive gas stations. The staff is downright stupid at times. They shut off pumps randomly and in the recent past half the pumps were not working. They also ask if you want to buy a car wash at the pump and you pay. Then you find out the wash is either out of order or turned off. Poor management overall read more

I don't normally bother with reviews about gas stations, but this is by far THE NICEST gas station/ food mart I have ever been too. It's a little ways off the freeway, so it's easy to miss, but well worth the stop if you need gas while skirting the Bay Area. The food mart was immaculate, with bathrooms so nice and clean you'll weep tears of happiness. Their selection of snacks and drinks is wonderful, and everybody in the car will be able to find something they like. We even dropped the $6 to run the car through the car wash just for the fun of it. This pit stop really re-energized us all for the rest of our long drive, and for that, we thank them. read more

This chevron gas station has everything. First you get good gas for good price (even with safeway gas station close by) second they have a jack in the box and lastly they have a really good car wash. I don't disagree with the other reviews...this is a very nice gas station with a pleasant staff, great location and a good convenience store and its own Jack in the Box...but its not a five star rating because this is very often the most expensive place to buy gasoline in a 5-mile radius. This place jacks its prices within 10 milliseconds of anything that might affect the price of oil...as if that oil was going into the tank tomorrow instead of six months from now. This is also the last gas station in Pleasanton to lower prices to follow the market. Sometimes, frequently even, you are paying a dime a gallon more for the privilege of getting your gas here than you could anywhere else in town. Also, why is the carwash so expensive? There are places that do a handwash for only a few bucks more than this place charges for an automated one ($7-9!!!)...it wasn't quite so bad when a carwash purchase got you a dime off the price of a gallon of gas...although doing the math indicates that the discount is not all that impressive..but even that minimal perk was eliminated at the beginning of summer 2010. Go to the Beacon on Main street, sure, its small time and you have to go inside to use a credit card but its a lot less money. read more

I'll admit... it's weird to write a review of a gas station. There's nothing particularly amazing about the gas prices here, the convenience store is pretty standard issue. I guess if you love Jack in the Box, this is a place you can get your fix right off the freeway. No... I'm giving this place 5 stars for one amazing reason: Water and air are free. Let me repeat that in all caps to both indicate importance and demonstrate yelling behavior on the internet without actually yelling: WATER AND AIR ARE FREE! There's no popping in a quarter for a couple minutes of use... it's completely gratis. As the owner of a car where one of the tires has decided to spring an incredibly slow leak, I've become accustomed to that once a month trip to re-inflate that single tire from the 26 psi when the low tire pressure light comes on to the 33 psi that is factory recommended. Maybe 25 cents/month isn't shouldn't be 5-star worthy. It is to me. And, that small bit of courtesy to their customers (or even just passers by) by the folks that own this station has won them my business even when I don't need to reinflate the tires and am just passing by and need to fill the tank. Kudos, Chevron at 1875 Valley Avenue in Pleasanton. Kudos. read more
