Nearest to Chevron a bit cheaper. Convenient if you are shopping for groceries. Got some 91. Receipt didn't print at pump. Store new and clean. I liked how they went out of their way to ensure floors were dry during this rainy season. Chevron still my #1 go to. read more

Safeway Gas Station - Gas Stations Near Me - Pleasanton, California

Safeway gas is my second option for filling my truck with gasoline. What I like about Safeway Gas is that I can use my grocery points as a discount. Typically I can get $.20 off per gallon of gas using my grocery points but then have to build up my point again for the discount. Safeway gas stations are comparable in price to Costco when using point discount and in cleanliness of the station overall. read more

We came to fill up our gas tank and get a coffee and fountain drink on July 3, 2026 at 11:00 am. The attendant was extremely rude. didn't wanna tell me how much the soda was gonna cost and asked why I wanted to know. The prices were not listed on the soda machine. We got out to our car with the barks root beer and found that it was really flat so we went back inside and said it's really flat. Can I just switch to a Coke and she got out a small cup and she went over to the barks root beer and took a little bit of it and drank a little bit of it and said no it's not and wouldn't give our money back or give us an alternative drink. Will not be going back to this place. I bet it left a flavor worse than the barks root beer. read more

I haven't made it around to renewing my Costco membership. I really should though due to the cheap gas there. But for those of you who don't have a Costco membership, Safeway gas is definitely one of the most affordable places out there. California Gas pumps is a pain in the Butt read more

They tend to have the best prices for gas in the area. There's lots of pumps and it's generally clean and well maintained.

If you read my last gas station review you will get why this gas station experience was SO GREAT! I Pull in and the lady next to me says "hey, I just got 60 cents a gallon off! Do you want to pump the rest and pay me cash for the difference?" I thought WOW how kind! YES! I would love to share your discount! No "spidey-sense" indicating danger... She pulls the hose over and pumps the gas for me! She said "go look at the screen so you can see how much it is" I looked and verified! Then realized I didn't have enough cash on me, so she says " do you have venmo?" Yes I do! So I venmo her right on the spot! I thanked her and we parted ways! The next time I went to this station, I put in my own Safeway number and the screen offered me 80 CENTS OFF PER GALLON! The universe is right again, thank u for my blessings & I received my random act of kindness, to be paid Forward! Always pay it forward! I believe in Humankindness in spite of the "meanies" that surface from time to time! Be safe & pay attention to your "spidey-sense" ! read more

I used my debit card to get cash price, however it didn't work this time. It charge the higher price and not the discount for using cash ( debit card) I ask the employee and he said you can't tap the card you have inserted it and put in your PIN number. Did something change I used to get gas from Safeway all the time using my debit card this way without a problem. read more

This is the gas station we stop by when we're passing through the Bay Area. It's conveniently off the freeway and the freeway re-entrance is just as close. There are plenty of gas pumps and even when it's busy, the lines move pretty fast. They have a store that sells a wide variety of drinks and snacks. However, the other benefit is that it's in the same shopping center with a Starbucks, grocery market and restaurants. read more

A pretty big gas station at this Safeway. Dropped by on a Sunday afternoon and there was no line which was great! Prices are reasonable, I would stop here again for gas. read more

This is my go-to gas station whenever I have to travel to the office. It is conveniently located right off of the Bernal exit off of I-680 North. It does get pretty crowded from time to time, but not as crazy as the lines you see at your local Costco. For those of you who shop at Safeway, it probably makes sense for you to sign up for a Safeway Club Card. You can save anywhere from $.10 per gallon, to $1.00 per gallon! Side note: To get to that $1.00 savings, your qualifying spending has to add up to $1,000. Take note that the $1.00 savings can ONLY be redeemed at Safeway Gas Stations and not Chevron. Conclusion: It's in an ideal location, and the complex is very clean. I'd venture to say that their gas prices are amongst the lowest in the Bay Area! Stop on by when you are passing Pleasanton/Bernal on 680! read more

I didn't know gas stations could be a place you'd like to go to, but this Safeway Gas Station is it... Here is why: 1.) Convenience - Right next to Safeway & right off the freeway. 2.) Advanced Air Pressure - Free, just as the convenience store cashier. 3.) Efficient - They have multiple stations. 4.) Service - Workers fairly nice/helpful. 5.) Cleanliness - Gas station is organized and clean. Right off Bernal (I-680). Go check it! read more

Everything on this particular store has a welcoming vibe for people who just wanted to make a quick stop for gas, which has an electric car charging station and most of all; it's mini Mart which so convenient to buy a quick drink instead of going into the store and fall in the line. The parking lot here is atrocious. I'm not sure who designed it but depending on which direction you're going, you nearly get hit by the idiot drivers or you get stuck at a stop sign. There's only one entrance and exit on either side for that matter. Prices are ok. I usually go to the Dublin location but this one is more convenient. Not sure what else can be said since it's a gas station. You can go this pump 24 hours a day? read more

I checked GasBuddy for diesel fuel in the area from Dublin, and this station showed up as the cheapest, as well as being close. Many stations don't have diesel fuel, so I could spend a lot of time driving, trying to find it. Navigation was so helpful. It had me pass Bernal Avenue to turn around at Sunol-Pleasanton Rd., instead of just taking the Bernal Avenue exit. Old information? I guess. Once at the exit, it wasn't difficult to find the pumps--and all of the other cars at the pumps. Amid the chaos, there was order--they had everyone going the same direction, thankfully. When I finally got to a pump, there was someone with the hose and nozzle stretched across the back of his car trying to reach the other side. The price was only $3.679. For diesel fuel, that's inexpensive when most stations are charging over $4.00 still. The process went smoothly, accepting my Safeway Club Card and debit card, filling, and then, with the receipt. There was an employee out making sure things were going smoothly. He said that it was quiet. I'd hate to see the station when it was crazy busy. read more

This gas station is INCREDIBLE. It has one-way lanes so you dont end up in the awkward situation of facing a car when you fill up, and its HUGE so you can pass idiots who take the closest pump when they fill up. Not only that, but it's cheap! (probably because Safeway HQ is right next door)! Definitely worth stopping by on my way up to the East Bay. read more

Briefly stopped by the fuel station at this Safeway this past weekend to get some gas, paid with the credit card, and within 2 days had 5 fraudulent charges in the amount of $100 each imposed on my credit card. What a classy location this is! (sarcasm) Avoid getting gas here, and for what it is worth avoid purchasing anything at this Safeway on Bernal Avenue. read more

This gas station is my go to every week! It's newly built, well maintained, and conveniently located. With the Safeway loyalty program it's prices can often be lower than the other neighborhood ones. Very convenient on early mornings that it's open 24/7, even though the accompanying Safeway store is now only open 5am-1am. The plaza also has a Starbucks, Poke, CVS, UPS, dry cleaning, and pure barre, so I find it convenient to fill up here while running errands. The flow of this gas station, like other newly built ones are one direction. However it has really long hoses, so you don't need to wait for a side to open up. read more

If you shop at Safeway and use your phone number or Safeway card, then you should be buying gas there! You save on gas just for buying groceries... (and if you buy gift cards the gas reward is doubled, so buy Safeway gift card, then buy groceries with it)... Often times you get up to $1 off depending on how many rewards you have saved up. I remember having $2.80 off per gallon one day, but I think it's limited now to $1... so when you have the max discount fill the WHOLE TANK and some extra containers if you can. The machines are amazingly slow often, and seem to be slower when it is crowded. That's my only hesitation... So if your not in a hurry or can go when it's not crowded you can save some coin! read more

Love that they have cars only enter one way. You may have to wait a moment for a pump to be available but definitely adds some ease to the experience. They have 18 pumps! Prices are always pretty cheap and usually even a few cents lower than other stations in the area! Attendants are friendly, pumps are fast, and Starbucks is right next door; top notch! read more

Who writes reviews for gas stations? Yep. This gal here. I am such a fan of safeway gas stations. It's like a PSA that you should get your sh*t together by getting gas and groceries. It most likely won't be in a sketch area, so the occasion "ey mami, you pumpin' dat gas?" will not be there. And if you are pumpin' dat gas at night, it's even better... it is safe! Ladies, I'm talking to you. I've been a victim of pumping gas last minute before I hang with my friends. The prices are also not too bad. Usually the cheapest in my opinion. They also give you a 10 cents off per gallon if you use debit or cash.. I think most gas stations give you 10 cents off if you use cash ONLY. So points for them! read more

The gas is cheap here and this station is conveniently located off the 680 freeway and not far from the fairgrounds. Lots of pumps so never a long wait. There is a big store with all the usual snack and beverages. (Smarter to get some items before going into the fair or other event at the fairgrounds). I stopped in over the weekend and an attendant was emptying garbage cans by the pumps - he was very friendly and polite. Their window washers were also in good condition with soapy water in the bins - another plus! read more

I was on my way to get gas waiting my turn in line for a pump when my car started overheating. While I was waiting I went inside the depot to get some water. Not really knowing for certain if that was the issue. The man working, Charles, asked me a few questions to which I replied I'm not really sure but I guess I'll find out. Concerned with my response he came out to help me. I just thought this was so kind of him to help me without even having to ask. I just wanted to applaud this establishment for their exemplary customer service and a special thank you to Charles for all of his help. I would have figured things out on my own, but it was so nice not to have to struggle. *This incident occurred on 3/29/2018 between 2:30pm and 3pm at the 41st Ave Safeway gas station. This gas station is new and clean. A welcome atmosphere.

I visited this place based on their reviews and totally agree it's clean easy and price is great. Will definitely come back.

Pumps are updated since that Safeway is relatively new. Bit tricky getting into and out of the area since the station is located in front of the intersection. Aisle widths are adequate to get in and out of the pumps. Only gripe is that fuel quality may be inferior than other Safeway stations due to the fact that i didn't get the most mileage from a full tank than I normally do at other reputable gas stations. read more

I used to go to the Shell gas station (now Chevron) across the street whenever I was running low, but no more. I don't understand why everyone in the immediate area doesn't get their gas at Safeway? The prices are considerably cheaper. Most of the time its about 20 cents cheaper per gallon (paying by debit card). Sure you can drive all the way to Costco in Livermore to save a couple pennies per gallon, but you'll have waste about 30 minutes round trip in driving and then another 10 minutes waiting in their ridiculously long lines. To make matters better, the lanes at Safeway are nice and wide so I don't need to squeeze through cars to get out if I'm done pumping before the car in front of me. They usually have a fuel lane attendant who guides cars to make it even easier. Pros Summary: 1) Cheaper Gas (Saves me $$$$) 2) Brand new facility with wide lanes and new pumps 3) Friendly Staff 4) Right next to Starbucks which makes getting coffee a breeze read more

I like the fact that this gas station is close to freeway and the price is great compared to rest of local stations. The pumps also have the long hoses for small cars (doesn't help for my truck) so it doesn't matter what side u pull up on. I also like they have a Starbucks close, bank and other needs right in that center. The little gas station convenience store is fine and has the basics but not a big selection like inside the grocery store . When exiting the center go out in front of Safeway, not the bank because you can get stuck with people coming in and out of the center. read more

This gas station seems to have the cheapest prices in the area. There is usually little to no line. You can save extra money by using a debit card, and by earning gas rewards when shopping in their grocery stores. It's right off the highway which is convenient. I just wish they would use top tier gas. Even Costco and Arco use top tier now. It would also be nice if the air pump could be turned on by the customer, like some other gas stations. Right now you have to ask the attendant inside to turn it on. read more

A gas station close to where I stay during my visit. This place is open till late night which added a bonus to me. I checked with "gas buddy" and found out this place sold cheapest gas in the whole area. Why would I pump a $.40 more per gallon in a gas station with only 2 miles less drive ? 2 miles could make huge difference. My truck has a capacity of 23+ gal and that's a $9.2 difference. read more
