This Costco gas location is such a well-oiled machine. It's always clean, and I'm able to get through quickly, thanks to the many pumps in each aisle. The prices are usually better than the standard gasoline chains, so I definitely feel that I'm getting my money's worth. This Costco used to not have a gas station at all, so great they finally put one in. If you need gas and it's super early in the morning, this is a good place to get gas and the prices, while CA high, will be the lowest in the area. The pumps all work well and scan the credit cards fast. You do need a Costco membership to get gas here, but you can use any VISA to pay. Bad thing with all Costco gas, they have no windshield cleaning supplies to use while the tank fills, so clean your windshield elsewhere. read more

This is the best Costco gas station I have been to, and I have been to quite a few across several states. It is relatively new and really well laid out. There are a total of eight lanes with four pumps each, a total of 32! There are lights to indicate which pumps are available. Of the many times l have been there, I have never waited in line. We really like this new gas station in our locality. Danville Costco needed a gas station so bad! We like that it's located in a spacious area across from Danville Costco and it's usually empty/less busy. Opens at 6am!! The helpers around are always prompt to help and keep a watchful eye out. What feels like 1054 pumps, 4 deep at each aisle, it's easy to drive in and find a place to fill your thirsty tank. With everything starting to re-open, it feels like I'm now driving more into work which means I'm needing to gas up a little more often than every month or so. I sadly did not gas up before the price hike, so I just figured I'd try out this new Costco Gas station as I saw that it usually isn't super busy as well as it was quasi nearby. How was it? Well I didn't even need to wait. But the whole location is a bit wonky. Prices are slightly higher probably due to the location, but still competitive and lower than other gas stations. L O C A T I O N So don't be like me thinking that the gas station is on the same side as the actual Costco. It's actually directly across from the entrance on the other side of the street. I believe it used to be an Office Depot that was completely demolished. If you do come from the Fostoria side, you're going to go in a loop around to get to the "lines." G A S S T A T I O N There are a lot of gas pumps guys. A LOT, I think 32? Now just to find one that will be on the right side of your gas tank may be a little more challenging, but if you're okay to drag it all the way around, then you may have a better chance. Each one has regular and premium or at least what I think they had only regular and premium gas. Make sure you pay attention as the attendants will guide you to the spots when they're open. There seems to be plenty of space to drive between cars and get into spaces. P R I C I N G As I mentioned, the pricing here for gas is a little higher than other Costco stations. This may just be because of the location. You do need a Costco membership. If you don't have a Costco Visa, you need to first slide you Costco card in the credit card slot. Then you can either slide your credit card afterwards or do touchless payment. I did get to use my Apple watch to pay which is always great. W A I T I didn't wait at all, I got to a pump immediately. But I went on a Thursday a little after 2pm. So I would say, aim for a time that's not lunch, after work, or weekends. But then again, I don't go here often enough to give better advice, but at least when I went, no wait. O V E R A L L I would come back if I really needed gas, in the area and if it wasn't peak time. So many caveats! But it was very clean, the workers were very attentive and I was in and out in no time. Can't complain. read more

I've been going to the Danville Costco for over 30-years, and I am so happy that this location finally has a gas station now! I remember talking to an employee at the tire center that mentioned to me that he used to get so many customers asking him here the gas station was located at. This used to be one of the last remaining Costco's to not have a gas station because the space here was extremely limited. Once the Office Depot across the street of Fostoria Way closed down, Costco immediately purchased the land and that is where this gas station is located at today. This station has 32 pumps, with 4 on each side, which has 8 pumps at each column. I never needed to wait in a line, as they have so many available pumps and the line of cars goes by extremely quick. Their prices are also reasonable too, so they're prices will be similar to the Livermore & Concord locations. I love the fact now that there's this Costco gas station in the Danville/San Ramon area now, so I don't have to drive to Fremont, Livermore or Concord anymore to get gas. read more

Finally we have a Costco gas station. I know it's been "in the works" for years, so I was happy once they officially announced it. I was a bit sad that Office Depot had to shut down since I did shop there quite a bit too. However, now I don't have to drive to the Costco Livermore gas station to "fill 'er up"! I'm glad that this gas station has 4 pumps per row. So far, there has not been a line so it's really quick to put gas here. I'm sure it'll get busier as time goes on. However, who knows? Gas prices are going up nearly $0.10 per day so who really knows? I will say in this area Tesla vehicles are very prevalent so maybe this gas station won't be as busy as other Costco gas stations. I will state that for some odd reason, people forget how to read once they turn in here and I've seen vehicles go the wrong direction where the signs clearly indicate "do not enter", "one way", etc. Seriously, I've seen a few cars attempt it and actually do it. I chit chat with one of the warehouse worker's that has been at this gas station site and he says that I wouldn't believe how many do it all day every day. Overall, I'm glad Costco San Ramon (yes, it's on the San Ramon side) is here; but, hopefully gas prices do not continue to rise everyday...everywhere. read more

Although getting gas at Costco can be a small wait, it's worth the value since being a member means you pay a less or equal price than the regular brand name gas, other than Arco, or neighborhood gas stations. If you don't want to be caught sitting in a long line, the best time to go I find is early in within an hour of the station opening. If you live or work in the area anywhere near this Costco Store and operate a vehicle that requires gasoline fuel, consider yourself truly lucky! Here's why I say that - first, this gas station is huge. It has 4 islands servicing 2 lanes of vehicles, in each lane. That means each each of those 4 islands of pumps can fuel 8 vehicles simultaneously. That's a total of 32 pumps under one roof! Currently, this is Costco's largest gas station anywhere! The benefit to customers is that there is almost never a long wait to get fuel! And to make things run even faster and more efficiently, each island has an electronic sign that displays each fueling station as being open or vacant. This way, drivers in line can easily see if someone in the forward pumps has finished fueling and has departed. The next vehicle in line can then move into that vacant position and begin fueling. It makes traffic flow so much more smoothly to shorten the wait for refueling. And, there's an added bonus to this layout - it's all under one roof and that means on blustery/rainy days, this huge roof is big enough to keep all drivers dry while refueling! And, of course, the Costco price for "Top Tier" gas is lower than most other gas stations in the local area by 40¢ - 75¢! That's a sizable savings! And their gas meets all the specification for "Top Tier" gas. This means their fuel is not a cheaper class of gas. It has all the additives and detergent to keep your engine running nicely by eliminating any buildup of contaminants that can gum up in your engine. Jim read more

I was so shocked and excited (it's the small things in life that matter). I just left Costco Gas station in Danville. I needed assistance with scanning my digital card. I knocked on the door of the attendants booth. No one as inside the booth... which is rare.....but as I'm pumping my gas, after I figured out how to scan my digital card, I see, who I assume to be a tall blonde woman, looking in my direction. I'm assuming she saw me because when I finally finished, and got in my car she started walking toward the booth.... She didn't want to assist me and stayed out of the area until I left. read more
