Went to get gas today and the Hispanic lady with glasses and blonde highlights behind the counter has no work professionalism at all. When a customer is coming to you about a problem with the pump you try to resolve it. Had the nerve to say our tank was full when we usually pump more than 12 gal. And then say "oh maybe is you car have problem." Not have an attitude and try to call us broke while we're trying to explain to you. It literally stopped on us mid pump. We weren't the first people. A gentleman before us was dealing with her nasty attitude as well. If you can't deal with customer service, then it ain't for you. read more

Cheap gas? My truck drinks it just fine! At 3.79 on 10/7/2021, it's the best deal around besides the gas down the street at 2cents per gallon less. It becoming difficult to get in there because everyone on the planets goes there. Here too but it easier for Han there. You know where! This gas is up to and over $1.00 per gallon less than the big gas companies. 10 gallons, save 10 dollars. Buy 100 gallons, save 100 dollars, and so on! They do charge 50 cents for the atm but I don't care. I'm still saving hundreds in cash buying my gas here! read more

Gas is a good price. Customer service is good. Inventory is lacking. Bought a large bag of expensive Lays chips and realized the bag was punctured after we got back on the road to our destination. Also, the sandwiches available were mostly 1 week past due date. read more

Clean place, convenient location, nice staff, awesome prices. La señora that works behind the counter on weekday mornings is friendly and polite. She always speaks to me in Spanish, and always lets me use the restroom. I sincerely appreciate that. This gas station does get pretty crowded at peak hours . . . read more

This gas station is great on supplies & gas ( very cheap on gas). The lady who works there during the day is sweet, but the guy for the morning should be fired! He was late this morning, & when asked about what time he opens he lied about opening on time when I was there at 5:00am until 5:12. He had an attitude like was saying something wrong, it's not my fault you late for your job stop being LATE! People out here need jobs & would be on time, so get it together bro or don't work there! read more

I just had a rather unpleasant experience. I go to the Mash gas station at the corner of Fairmont and Liberty Street (just of 580 at 150th) regularly to fill up my truck as it is on the way to the Bay Fair farmers' market. I stopped there today to fill up my tank. I paid $60 to fill it and proceeded to pump my gas. At a bit over $56, the tank was full and the gas clicked off. But the $ amount kept going up. I worked the pump lever a couple of times, but it didn't stop counting up. I punched all the buttons on the pump, but it kept counting up. I pulled the nozzle out and no gas was coming out but it was still charging me more $. I finally tried putting nozzle back in the tank and that got it to stop. So I go back in for my change and to tell them what happened. I said it was only about $1.50 more and I wasn't going to push them for the extra $, but they should post an out of order sign on the pump and get it fixed. The two young people at the register looked totally overwhelmed, so they got the manager? owner? He listened to about 5 words from me, disappeared for a minute, then told me to come outside with him. He'd authorized $1 to pump. He then treated me like an idiot and instructed me how to pump gas and informed me it worked perfectly because it was ready to pump. I said no, that wasn't the problem, it pumps fine, but it doesn't stop charging $. He repeated that it was working fine. He wouldn't even begin to listen to me and he certainly didn't understand the problem. A gentleman filling his car in front of me got involved and insisted we'd do a video of me explaining the problem. The we went inside again and he demanded to see the owner. He started to video the owner while he stated the complaint. At this point, I was unhappy with the entire situation and restated that I didn't care about the $, but that they needs to be aware of the problem. He threw $1 at me and walked back into his office. It was all so very unpleasant and the manager was so very rude to me, I won't be going back to this station again. I've filed a formal complaint. But I wanted to let people know about it. If you really wish to continue to use this station, DO NOT go to pump #1! read more

Good gas prices in a location near the freeway. I like this place because they give good gas and quick service.

I always come and get gas here. It's the cheapest in the area, it's right off the freeway with another entrance on the opposite side and its generally safe. Can get busy though, but plenty of open spaces. read more

Freedom Gas - Prices today 4/25/15 - Gas Stations Near Me - San Leandro, California

I didn't even come here for gas but I wanted to get some snacks. They were each very kind and fast and genuinely thanked me for my patronage. I enjoy the little things that people do so just by putting on a smile and saying thank you, that made my day and experience better. Thanks for the pleasant experience read more

My credit card info was stolen from gas pump 1 on Thursday. I used my card here and two hours later my bank was calling me saying someone was withdrawing money from an ATM in Walnut Creek. When I called the first time the man was nice and asked me to call back when I had my receipt. So the next day I called back and another man was rude and disrespectful to me. Yelling and saying it was impossible. I had not used my card in 4 months and this was the only place I used it. I asked them to check the cameras for someone putting a card reader in the pump and I was hung up on. Never go here again. read more

Very friendly service, they always the lowest gas prices. My go to gas station, easy acces to 580 but becaues of the low prices, it is almost always busy. They do charge 50 cents for using a credit card. read more

This place has some of the cheapest gas in the area with easy access off and back on the freeway. There are about 12 pumps so there rarely a wait. Inside they have the typical gas station snacks. If you are driving by on 580, this place is definitely worth a stop to top off the tank read more

Ghetto as heck. Dirty and poorly maintained. Tons of hidden fees and limited selection in the convenience store. They charge $.50 to use a debit card, $2 dollars if you get cashback, and $.75 for ice from the soda machine. Skip this gas station and go down the street to Flyers or 76. read more

Nice service, always the lowest gas prices in town. The staff is very friendly, helpful and understanding. I do go to the service station almost daily easy access to I-580. Please don't stop providing good service and low gas prices. read more

This is one of the better gas stations in the area, there are always plenty of gas pumps that are easily accessible for all customers, and there isn't usually too long of a wait to fill up. The employees here are always very friendly, they greet you as you arrive and don't mind pausing their current task at hand to assist patrons when needed. Also, this is one of the cleanest gas station/mini marts that I've visited in a while, the counters are always wiped clean, condiments are always stocked, and the floors always seem to sparkle and shine as they give off that familiar "clean" scent that we all expect from a business. read more

DIESEL USERS BEWARE! Watered gas will ruin your engine. I have been using diesel from this station regularly for the past couple of years and my mechanic re ently discovered a huge amount of water my fuel system, which they told me was caused by whatever gas I was using. This required a costly repair. I will not be getting my diesel from freedom gas in the future. read more

this place is one of my go to gas stations. the cost of gas is my number one reason for that. my number two reason would be its location. it is right off the freeway and it is easy to hop right back on the freeway. the snack shop they have is over priced just like any other gas station. they do have a good number of pumps so the wait isn't too long if any. I would suggest if you are on 580 in the San leandro area and need gas to come here. if you do you will most likely see me here as well. read more

I believe Freedom is now called Mash. The people who work inside are the best. They are always so friendly and so polite. They repeat your request so there is no chance of a misunderstanding regarding how much money you want to put into the pump. The price of gas is always competitive. But it's the customer service that stands out for me. read more

The best prices in the bay area. The best gas quality better than Chevron. Very polite workers, good service.

I went into this gas station today and had the worst service ever. Normally I go in and the person behind the counter is very nice. But not today! His name is Javier and he over charged me for gas. I ask for 25.00 dollars in gas but charged me 45.00.- When I came back into the store To get my change back, I explained to him that he over charged me and I said I wanted 25. Not 45. Instead of him said oh I sorry let fix that for you. He goes on blaming me for the mistake and let me that I should have seen the error on the screen. One thing the screen for a debt charge is barely visable . I told just give me my change back, I don't need all the drama. He doesn't stop there. He just keeps going. I asked him who was his manager. He said he was the manager: which I know that was a lie. So I asked for the corporate office number. Then he tells me he is the man, I am the man. I told him if he was the man he would be the owner and he is not. I will never stop there again. I will keep going to costco where I get better service. read more
