The least expensive gas station in the immediate area - but was actually 10 cents more expensive than the Chevron I go to since paying with a credit card here costs extra. Next door to the new massive apartment complex - both great to have in the city to help house people - but also a form of permanent visual pollution towering over neighbors. Its one of those places you'd be better off living in than next to. Paying with credit costs a bit more here - one of the reasons I was loyal to Chevron over the years before the gasoline price scam of recent is because I don't think they ever did that - in fact, I'd always get a discount for shopping at Safeway of about 20 cents... that would make my fillup today 30 cents more expensive than Chevron - and I doubt this has Techron... Techron is expensvie too... try buying a bottle at your local auto parts store... with direct injection fuel systems its all the more important too... Pumps were open with no wait. Receipt printer was out - so where was I going to scribble notes of madness? The gasoline thing is such a political scam - there is a push to go fully electric until the point our power grids can't support it... good thing I like Teslas. read more

This is so hard to review as Gas Station. What makes a good gas station? Credit card skimmers on the pumps? Homeless people outside hitting you up for money as you go inside to pay? A personal Window washer who wants money up front? We can't be as lucky as this to get this at every gas station can we? Well at World Gas; you get a very large station they tend to always have a place to fill up and I have never had to wait. It's priced fine and I have not had an issue with the gas here. I don't ever use the credit cards at the pump it's a good way to get your credit card stolen or skimmed. Most good gas station have a seal on there Credit cards to show it's legit this one does not. Just be careful and pay inside. You will see at least 1 homeless person outside but they tend to be pretty chill and don't even hit me up for money they are just chilling. They might of seen my car and was like this guy doesn't have much more then me. The inside has junk food and drinks but it's not cheap. You are better off going elsewhere or like a 711 but they do the credit card fee here. The only reason I like this place is gas prices. How easy it is to get to from foothill. It's a perfectly good station to pay cash get your gas and leave. read more

As far as convenience goes, World Gas is right across the street from my go-to Safeway, so my weekly habit is Safeway shopping and gassing up at World Gas. Great location, near freeway, cheap gas, variety of snacks. Only thing I don't recommend is the coffee, yuck yuck yucky. Had it a while back and it was gross. Maybe its improved, I don't normally get my coffee at Gas stations but its a short walk from work so I'd figured it was worth a shot. I'll walk a little further to Starbucks. read more

WORSE GAS STATION EVER!!!! RACIST!!! I am part of the Mount Diablo Hog chapter and we stopped there for a pity break and gas. I asked the attendant, a hindi or Indian lady if I could use the bathroom and she shook her head and said there was no bathroom. I went outside and had to pee where the dogs used the bathroom. Shortly after, I was told that the person let the other HOG members use the facilities. I am the only black female in the group..so I'm sure you all get the picture. I'm from Oakland, Ca and was totally LIVID!!! I had some choice words for the b..and she had the nerve to try to argue back!!!!!! No one in my group had my back as I stood humiliated and very angry! This is not about the gas station, per se...but more about one particular item that they sell here cheaper than anyone else I know: Djarum Clove cigarettes. Now, I quit smoking altogether and I'm not trying to promote smoking, but if you do happen to already smoke and you smoke Cloves then these guys are the shiznit! They helped a sista out in need all the time, hooking it up. No tax, $5 flat fee per pack. Normally Djarums are sold at anywhere from $5.40 to $6.20 a pack PLUS tax, and while that may seem trite, when you're smoking a pack a day, it adds up real quick! (if I did the math correctly, I was saving somewhere between $7 and $13.65 a week going here! - ok, so now I like save $35 a week not smoking...but hey, if you gotta smoke, why not shave some cents off?) read more

I never go to this station because my debit card number was stolen here last year and someone went on a shopping spree and emptied my account. But I was running late for work and it's the only station I'm going to pass going to Bart. I didn't have cash so I used my Amax instead of my debit to be on the safe side. At least if my account is compromised I won't have to wait for my cash to be replaced. I put a $30 in my tank. After I pull off I my Amax charge notification pings but so I ignore it b/c I have 5 mins to get to Bart and I knew I just made the charge.. Once on Bart I check my notification and there is a $100 charge from World Oil! I try to call and the number list and it's disconnected. I figured maybe it's just a hold and they are going to release my $70 later... Well guess what? The charge posts to my account for $100! My car has SkyActive Technology I could fill my car 3x's for $100 and still have change! So now I'm disputing a charge from these criminals! read more

As of June 15, 2006 (or so) World Gas on the corner of Foothill and Hazel near Mervyns has been completely flattened and exists no more. At first I thought the construction crews were doing periodic maintenance of underground gas holding tanks but the mini-mart, gas tanks and cheapest gas around, Victory Outreach carwash, air & water, propane refil, concrete, itty-bitty landscape area and all are gone. I don't know if another gas station will be built. Too bad, the owner/operators were really nice people. read more
