So I go to this station a lot. They recently got a new car wash system which is good I guess since the old one was down a lot. The air nozzle for the tires doesn't work and needs to be fixed. They have Icees at this location!! usually we never finish ours but that night we did! I didn't get gas but my cousin did. I would definitely choose a chevron gas station any time I need gas if I'm in other areas of Cali because the lights here are very welcoming and I stick to using the same kind of gas station. Chevron has a food mart here but there's no premade food (hot dogs, etc), coffee, or soda available. must be pandemic related. the pesto chicken pita (3.99) had an heavy chemical, fatty taste. the bottled drinks are mostly overpriced and/or full of sugar, chemicals. the cashier doesn't knew the price but it's not his fault. it's not posted on the shelf either. no 'peat unless i need the gas. read more

I just go here and it's one of the few places that has good gas near me. It's a pretty small station with only 8 pumps and gets pretty packed. The Store is pretty pricey and not much to talk about. They do have AIR and offer to wash your car. No way I would use this car wash with my car. Look at my pic. I can do a better job myself :) Chevron gas has never let me down this is why I only pump this in my car that needs 91 oct gas. I will pass ever other station just to make sure I put good gas. They check there gas and you are not buying 2ed hand gas. Bad gas can mess up your car and even blow up your engine. So I do my best to give my car the best gas around. You pay more at Chevron but they have really good Gas. Here I'll give the place that have Good Gas if you care about your car. 1. Chevron 2. Don't go to this gas station. They over charge by 30-50 cents even with our the fuel/oil issue. Go down Castro Valley Blvd (less than a mile away) or go further down into Hayward and gas is always cheaper. This station is ridiculously over priced just because they're off of the free way. As of today, 3/12/22, they were charging 6.39 for regular and down CV Blvd there was another Chevron for 5.87. read more

The cashier in here name Jamaica is hella rude and someone needa put her in check in my opinion. In my opinion, She needa be fired. Brings her kid with her to work and seems like she is there just to be there and not care if anything else in the station goes down except play with her kid. I was in line to pay for gas and seen this cashier clown not offer any help at all to the person who paid to use their car wash after their car wash didn't rinse off people's car after putting soap in it. Car wash is back! Although it's the brushed kind, it did a much better job of washing my car than the crap wash at the 76 station off Hegenberger. I still much prefer (and will stick to) the high pressure, no-touch wash, but I figured I'd give it a try because my car got pooped on over the weekend. It does have the undercarriage wash and the Rain-X/clearcoat spray if you get the delux wash. $2 off with a fill up and the wash ranges from $5 to $9 (without the discount). read more

Chevron self serve vacuum cleaners suck. I have been coming here for 5 years and they were always the best and their location convenient. Not sure what happened the last year but I tried both vacuums and the power was horrible on both. Usually one cycle is enough for my car but I did two cycles and paid extra for the "turbo" suction and neither one did the trick. I had to go somewhere else. Not happy. 2 stars for location. Been here multiple times over the course of many years. The gas prices are usually ok and I personally have never run into any rif raf here - despite having read a couple of other reviews where people have said otherwise. Believe it or not I've had more people begging me for money at the Castro Valley Chevrons - there are two of them. Recently at the nearby Nations some guy was so high and scared my 90 year old aunt. Castro Valley is going downhill in terms of safety and Hayward is getting better it seems. Its a drag when you get to a gas station where they turn off the pumps after certain hours. The sign advertising for "Help Wanted" is surely more for help needed! First, the credit card reader wasn't working and then it worked and only let me pump a few dollars worth of gas and kept stopping. Then I had to re-swipe and it wouldn't read again. UGH! I went in multiple times and he said he reset it....but after multiple attempts, I literally just couldn't get gas. Honestly, the guy behind the counter was so high (literally wreaked of pot and could barely open his eyes...or stop smiling, which was kinda funny), he was probably resetting the other pumps. This review is solely based on the car wash. In terms of functionality it's fine and it does the job, price is reasonable for what it is. My gripe is that it's almost always closed for something!! Which contradicts the sign that they have that reads "car wash always open"!!! I'm almost positive that if it's not broken the owner of the gas station doesn't want to turn it on if there's high volume traffic for the wash to make it worth his or her while. This is so ironic. The only photo for this gas station is the only service they cannot provide but they pretend that it was available. (zero star) Twice I got gas here and bought the car wash service only to find out twice, that it wasn't working. The first time was quite clear, there was a sign there so I won't drive over to the car wash area. This time, I was hopeful, I wanted a car wash but the door was closed... odd... looks like it's not open for business? I entered the code anyway and a female robotic voice saying the code was invalid. I entered the code again. Denied. So I backed up....I am glad I didn't bump into anything and damaged my car or, worse, someone behind me as hopeful and having to back up also!! Anyway, I went into the shop making a mental note to myself this is the last time I will purchase a car wash at this gas station. I reported to the cashier that the code didn't work. I was hoping it was a mistake that he can make the car wash work. Guess what he said to me when I handed him the receipt? "Not working? When did you get this? Last year?" Can you believe it? I remained calm although I am not happy, "It will expire tomorrow. How can it be last year? I'd like a refund." I am a very good natured person 99% of the time but this is just not cool. The car wash was great but the speed bump they have to enter the car wash it death. Its so high off th ground and thin so you have to give your car some gas Just to get your wheel on the bump but in doing so you go over the bump eight away because its so thin and it scrapes the bottom of your car real bad. My car isnt lowered and it scrapes and almost got stock. Please make this bump smaller. read more

Clean and good cheap car wash, it's a 360 laser machine that is able to wash all angles of your car. No brushes are used that just rub the dirt around but a good power wash. They also have a detail area but the vacuums were out of order when o was here. I'll be back again for gas and wash . read more
