It's another gas station...I know, but they have as much as convenient stores are cool people here. There have been several different employees over the years but all have been really nice/friendly, and they keep it nice & clean. I was Rolling down Hesperian Blvd and my Fuel Tank light popped on!!! So I pulled into Chevron and pulled up to the Unleaded Gas Pump!!! I scanned my Credit Card and filled up!!! I then went into the well stocked convenience store and grabbed a Coke and a Candy Bar and rolled out!! The Cashier was busy but efficient!! This is a Baller On A Budget Approved Establishment!!! The waiter's attitude is quite bad. I went to buy a lottery ticket today, and a waitress had a very bad attitude. I gave the cash on the table, she didn't take it, but she told another waitress to play the lottery for me, and then she did something else. The money went to the cashier, and then when another waitress asked me for $10 in cash, I said I had paid the waitress on the spot and said in a very unfriendly tone that I didn't pay for it. I think she may be in a bad mood today, but she can't bring it to work, especially to her clients, because she needs to understand that this is a service industry. read more

This Chevron is located on the Macy's side of Southland Mall on the side of Wells Fargo and City Sports. If your in the mall parking lot you'll have to drive onto the street and then turn where it is safe. They have plenty of pumps so you get in and out pretty quick. As for cost, it is a few cents more then what you'd find closer to Hayward hills. They are a Food Mart as well and have a wide selection of on the road goods. They also have scratchers and lotto. I don't know what I would do if Chevron wasn't around. I can't deal with Shell and the other gas stations are SO cheap! UGH! This chevron is located near the Macy's side of the Southland mall, close to Wells Fargo and City Sports. Very convenient location as it's on the main street, easy access to get in and out. This location as plenty of gas pumps and when I come here they are not packed. Employees are nice. I've noticed that this Chevron seems to be the cheapest in the Hayward area which is a big plus! The ONLY gas station in the area with a 24hour convenient store. one of the fine establishments of the EDWARDS owned chevron. Although I may be biased due to a year stint working here but the relationship you slowly seem to build with coworkers and customers alike made that crappy pay all worth while. ive always said work isnt really work if youve got friends around. while this gas station may seem wholesome and normal during the day, if your ever in the area and in the mood for some seedy entertainment stop by here in the early hours of the morning. You might find an array of old school tweekers hopped up on dirty yellow crank, bums with guns, bums in vans with dogs, police beating suspicious station employees or even drunken bikers crashing into curbs and flying off their bikes. all of which i have witnessed myself with my own zombie graveyard shifty eyes. how can you not love it. its the first place im going back to to purchase a strawberry swisher to make me feel at home. read more

This is an awesome gas station. It is family owned and the majority of the workers are all family members or have worked there for years. Its always well stocked (seriously, I dont think they could fit much else in there) and has a wide selection which is rare in gas stations these days it seems. The store (and the bathrooms) are super clean which isnt to common in most gas stations. They also have a ton of gas pumps which is nice because there are always a good amount of people there. It seems like they always have a solid flow of customers and its not unusual to go in there and see regular customers and vendors chatting it up with the workers. As for the slushie machine, I asked one of the employees about it and apparently it is such a POS that they were repairing it weekly for awhile and then just gave up. Sure its a tease being there, but most gas stations dont have one anyway. read more
