700 W A St Hayward, CA 94541 This is the 7-Eleven / 76 gas station at West A St & Royal Ave in Hayward, CA. It's between the I-880 freeway and Hesperian Blvd. I was there around 9pm to get gas, and go take a look inside the store. This is NOT a 24-hour store. The clerk said they close at midnight. Interesting that the 7-Eleven website says it's a 24/7 store. I was looking over the fresh snacks, and I asked the clerk how much the cake squares cost. He held up 6 fingers. Actually they cost $5.99. One of the 1/4 lb hotdogs looked okay, so i got a hotdog for $2.79. Now, even though the buns are individually wrapped, that doesn't mean they're fresh. The hotdogs are grade 1-2 on the edible scale. The mustard, relish and raw onions I added didn't help. Otherwise, it's a typical 7-Eleven layout. read more

Where can i begin in this 7/11. The staff are liars and rude. They are lazy and something needs to change like the staff and management. I went in there one day with my uncle to buy 4 pizzas. When we went to the counter. This dude checks our pizza and we ask if he can cook them. He looks dead into our eyes and says it's broken and wont turn onWhen clearly i can see its on and working. I have a bank called chime. The customer service for chime said i can hand the cashier my money and card to put money in my account. When i went to do it this dude said no we can't even tho i did it to multiple 7/11 and they had no issue doing it. This management and staff again needs to change. read more

This 711 has an extremely rude and lazy young man that works at night. He doesn't like to do his job and really tries to do his best at being in control of customers asking him to perform duties that are his JOB to do. Also he tried to give me back the wrong amount of change but I know what I gave him and I know what he was supposed to refund me. He would not show me my receipt that is my right to get as a customer. I asked him several times to show me my receipt and then I would believe that the change he gave me was correct. Instead of showing me my receipt he pulls 3 more dollars and some quarters as well. A very specific amount of change to give me while making claims that he did give me the right amount. read more

Normally, I wouldn't bother writing on Yelp for a friggin 7-11, but stopping there this morning did it for me. Pros: -The store is fairly clean and happens to be one of the few locations that consistently stocks Venom energy drinks. 99 cents a can while rockstar or monster is $2+. Can't beat that. At my job, we call it "gasoline for the people". -There's usually warm pizza slices and other food ready in case you feel like grabbing a bite. Cons: -CA's minimum wage law made every business cut down on labor hours as much as possible. When I stop by in the mornings, it's not unusual for a single person to be running the entire store after only one or two weeks on the job! -The number of panhandlers hanging out outside in the morning has gotten ridiculous over the last year or so. I get it. The store is open 24 hours a day. Some folks don't have so much as a car to sleep in. Or can't work labor type jobs that are easy enough to get. But goddamnit, you're not doing yourself any favors when I stop by the store just to have three people in a row come up asking for change. read more

i went to the 7-eleven at A street to cash out a lottery ticket and they ask me for my id and i gave it to them and the girl said i had to be 21 years old to cash out this lottery ticket but the rule of the lottery ticket says that you have to be at least 18 to buy or collect you winning so i went across the street where there is a liquor store to cash out my ticket. they let me cash out my ticket even tho i wasn't 21 but i was at least 18 and older read more

7-11 is not something I would write a review on. However, this place gives a huge convenience for me because it's literally only 2 blocks away from my house! A good stop before migrating to work to pump in gas and grab a quick coffee to go for cheap ($1.35 for small $1.65 medium and almost $2 for large) and snag a few creamers and maybe grab a small pastry as well. 2 donuts for $.99 cents! Filling and fattening. This 7-11 has all your basic needs: snacks, alcohol, toiletries, lotto tickets, cigarettes, lighters, misc. items, etc. This 7-11 is equipped with gas services to pump in fuel for your vehicles as well. It can get crowded in early morning around 7AM with a bunch of Mexicans. The lines may seem long but it goes out really quick! 1) Employees are prompt and friendly. 2) Close proximity to my house and is great to stop by on the way to work. 3) Iced coffee is just one aspect of the store. A St. behind the gas pumps is a 7-11 store. gas prices here on a par with am pm up the street and valero on hesperian. it may be crowded here cuz cash & credit pricing is the here, not a .10 cent premium. filled up with diesel (3.85) which is the cheapest i've seen in the bay area.. didn't see any circle K markings around here. saw the standard sales items on the 7-11 window. read more

I would give it zero stars if I could I NEVER write reviews I'm also very easy to please. But today pulled into the parking of this gas station to get some air for my tire. I swiped my card and nothing happened, so I decided to go inside and ask if I could pay in there they said Yes. They charged me $1 and some cents and I went back out to find that the machine still wasn't on. I walk inside again and told them the machine wasn't on they ignored me! I walk back outside to see if they had turned it on and nothing so I went back inside AGAIN and they ignore me again ! Man, what happened to this place? Guy behind the register was on phone with someone for over 5 minutes. Guy in front wanted to get something hot behind the glass but the cashier stood there talking to the person on the phone, eventually getting it for him. My turn...I prepay for gas and get lottery tickets, asking for the promo $5 deal that was advertised on top of the register. I kept pointing to it but he had trouble pulling it up...punched everything out separate. He then charged me regular price. I pointed to the sign again. He looks and sees that the promotion expired in late April (it's June 5th). I finish pumping and go in for change. One dollar and 30 cents. He repeated it too. Seriously, what the heck is the deal with this store. I've been to this location twice now and both times I'm met with a sign that says "CLOSED We will be back @3:30am." The first night I came it was 3:15 am so I had to wait 15 min before I can go inside. The next day I'm there again thinking maybe it was just a one time thing, but there it was again. The same freaking sign! I was there at 2:20 am this time and was not about to wait over an hour for them to open. I don't understand how a 24/7 store would not be open for business... I can't believe I'm writing a review for 7-11! It's so bad here, I just have to. I come to this 7-11 almost every day I'm going to work...simply because it's on the way. Every time I leave this place I am maddened by the complete lack of professionalism! I realize this is 7-11, and standards shouldn't be too high. There's a guy who works at this location who wears a turban...OMG! He is horrible!!! He could care less about the customers. Last week while a few of the supposed employees were chatting amongst one another, I stood at the counter in front of them for what seemed like forever! Finally I asked if someone could ring me up? Turban guy (who is unnecessarily rude EVERY TIME I'm here!) began to ring me up and just walked away! Ummmm....REALLY?! I had to ask again....can I buy this stuff? I was in retail for 25 years....this is pathetic! Also, the 'hot food' items are never fresh or even ready to buy. If you have pictures on your windows advertising chicken wings or pizza, shouldn't you actually have those items ready to purchase? I only come here because it's directly on the way to work...but I'd have to say it's pretty much the worst 7-11 EVER! They don't stock much on their shelves either. Nearly all of the 7-11's I've been to have simple grocery items that people would buy, this place doesn't. Word to the owners of this place: teach your employees to give a crap. This store finds away to make you spend more money than you need to, for example I purchased gas today and asked for $5 cash back and they said no, and tried to hand me a Reese's Peanut Butter bar to make a purchase to get cash back, and I said I already made a purchase. I just bought gas and swipe my card in front of you what's the problem? and he insisted that I buy something else just to give me $5 back. The internal staff has to be the most ignorant people I've met. Just trying to get gas and when I swiped my card the machine stayed to go inside and see cashier. The staff then told us they can take credit or debit cards because their machine inside is not working. The man then told us to go back outside. So If the machines outside do t work and the machines inside don't work then he should just tell us cash only. If you don't have the money to up keep your 7-11 because it is a franchise, then don't own one. 7-11 is a Japanese franchise and don't stand for inefficiency like this. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Number 1 problem with this place is the owner and absolute lack of customer service. I paid cash for a fill up at this gas station. The pump was broken. When I walked in to tell the owner and cashier, I was told that I was wrong and that the pump was working. After making multiple attempts to reset and pump with no success, I insisted that they either give me my money back or move me to another pump. The owner refused. Finally the owner came out and tried the pump himself and saw that it was broken. Instead of apologizing, the owner said I broke the pump and then went on to say that I should apologize to him! I could not believe it. I told him he should apologize to me because I am a paying customer and that I had gone into the store 3 times to tell them it was broken before he would come out to inspect. Even after that, he added insult to injury by saying that he was a tax payer and owner and that my family (who he has never met) was probably on welfare and social security. I left that gas station crying and could not believe what I had just encountered. NEVER NEVER NEVER go to this gas station!!! IF anything goes wrong, the owner will NOT accept responsibility for a broken gas pump and you'll probably be blamed for it not working, and insulted on top of it! read more
