I drive a Tesla so I come here only for the car wash, which is the best automatic wash that I have found in the Tri-valley to date. I don't like touchless washes. When done right and properly maintained, touch washes are the only way to get your car clean. This one (touchy-type) is nice because you pull in and stop and then the machines move around the car. It does a great job of washing and a good job of drying. There is a manual pre-wash if you like as well as towels for hand drying afterward if you want. But honestly, it does a good enough job for $10-12 that I don't do any of the manual stuff. read more

This new car wash at this Shell station doesn't assist you. When you are within the unit, no Stop or Drive-up sign shows up for the wash to begin. All other car washes display such signs. I moved through this car wash twice, each time the wash did not finish fully cleaning my car, and pushed my car out of the wash with soap still on it. Second time through I was given another code and same thing happened bc I was looking for the signs again which never appeared. There was no way to tell what to do when approaching the wash like as other car washes that say "stop, etc". I went back and explained the issue to the same cashier but I was told I had to pay again to use the car wash because she already gave me a free service. She addressed me angrily in the presence of other customers. I explained to her my car did not get washed and I had already paid for it the first time. She refused any further assistance. So I ended up paying twice to have my car washed because of an issue with their machine? I have been washing my car at this service center for years. But it now has a new owner and a new car wash and, they are not friendly or helpful! read more

Went to gas the car. Saw a sign for car wash option. Basic car wash $6.99 with fuel. $7.99 without. Chose the $6.99 just to get a rinse. Noticed I was charged $8.00 for the car wash despite paying for gas. I went into the store to bring it to the cashier's attention. He basically acted like I was bothering him for the refund! Border line was rude. Never apologized or said anything about going out to view the signage or that it would be corrected! My take, they are overcharging customers for the car wash and know it! Went in to purchase Tylenol for a headache. Took item to cashier and he said $5.48 I said it is $3.99. He still said $5.48. I told him that is illegal to charge more than the listed price. I had already gave him a 10 bill. He gave me my change and I walked out. Not realizing I didn't get my Tylenol until I got to work. I went back immediately and he wouldn't give me my purchase. Asked for a manager contact. He said come back at 8:00am manager will be in. Came back and tried to speak with her. A different cashier jumped into the conversation and wouldn't let me speak. Money was all good. Problem was I didn't get the product. All I wanted was Tylenol. I would never patronize this facility again. And I will tell my coworkers to be aware of this gas station/store. All this for $3.99 purchase. If this was my business I would definitely not make this an issue and lose customers and generate a bad review. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS STATION!!!! This was an absolutely ridiculous interaction with this Shell station attendant this afternoon. After frequenting this station many times over the last 2 years of living nearby, I will NOT EVER return. My son and I went to this station to use the car wash, and it stopped in the middle of the wash. So, although a bit frustrated, I calmly parked the car outside of the main entrance and left my 9 year old son in the car while I went inside to get refunded for my $12 wash. The attendant seemed pleasant at first, however, he couldn't figure out how to refund my card (even though I had just used it at the Car Wash pay terminal). He therefore told me that there was something wrong with my card and I needed to reach out to my bank to have refunded. So, even though this attendant couldn't figure out how to make the refund work, he's asking me to resolve this on my own. I said to him calmly that I wasn't leaving until I receive my $12. He then sat back in his chair and proceeded to call the police. Two other customers witnessed this interaction and were just as surprised as I was about his actions. Anyway, upon the police arriving, he said he felt threatened even though I was calmly asking for a refund and the other two customers backed up my story with the motorcycle cop who arrived. The attendant then said that he would give me a free car wash to make up for it - had he offered that at the beginning, I would have accepted and walked away knowing that Car Washes go down all the time, and knowing that I frequent this gas station all the time - that is until now. This attendant has no business being in the public service industry. He clearly does not know how to appease or give solutions to certain situations when they come up. Thank-you to the 2 customers and the motorcycle cop for being gracious and understanding that all I wanted was my money back - or in this case a credit. Even though I did receive a credit for this car wash - I won't be back - keep it! To the owners of this station - you have my $12 and that's the last amount of money you will ever receive from me and friends and family in San Ramon/Danville. read more

this Shell gas station is now operated by Cox Family Stores. the gas is the usual premium brand. the convenience store is way above the norm for convenience stores. each store has a clean restroom. this store is on the small side. there's a wide variety of chips, popcorn, snacks, self-serve beverages, craft beers, lotto tics, cigarettes, teas, etc. brew: "voodoo ranger: imperial ipa" (new belgium) 3.29, 9% alc. 19.2 oz. -boozy, got a buzz. tastes a lot better than malt liquor. -smooth ipa, nothing stands out about this brew. reasonable prices thru out the store. read more

Visited here Saturday 2/18/23 at 11:30 am with the kids to vacuum out the car. Went inside to get the $1.50 in change for the car vacuum. The lady working the register asked "Why do you need change?". I said "For your vacuum". She then said "No, I only have enough quarters to last the rest of the day. The Manager didn't get enough." I stared at her at her a few moments. She then said there is a bank next door you can go there to get change. I think she knew the bank was closed and it is even harder to get change at a bank nowadays. I offered to get her change, but she declined. She appeared to be looking forward to going through the rest of her shift telling people they were out of luck if they wanted to vacuum their cars. If this was the Bronx, Tiuana or Oakland I would understand. In low-income areas there is a history of passing bad bills and swapping bills when asking for change, but this is Danville! I realized this was one of the people that believes in the cancel culture, supports the cartels, and that people that look like me are the problem. I have worked all my life, my parents all their life, and grandparents before them to make this nation what it is today. From her actions I believe she is looking to import the corruption and ideas from where she is from and she realized that I am one of the ones opposed to that. Cramp little station right at the on ramp to north 680. Has a mini mart and car wash. It's hard to get in and out of this station if it is busy. The car wash is good because they provide towels to dry and rub down your ride. The best thing about this station is the speed of the pumps. They are much faster than most gas station pumps in the area. read more

Why do some employees feel like they are doing the public a favor by showing up at work? I needed some air for my tires. I went into the store and asked the 2 workers if they would turn the air on for me? They said "sure". I went back to the air station and of course the compressor isn't on. I waited a couple of minutes and then returned back to the store and asked once again if they would/could turn on the air for me. This time the worker grabbed the remote start for the air and said here yah go...as he smiled... Guess he thought I needed more exercise..? Anyway, I filled the 2 tires on the right side of the car w/o any issues. When I attempted to fill the tires on the left the compressor acted like it didn't have enough pressure to fill the tires! It was the same result with either tire on the left hand side. After wasting enough time I got in my car and drove across the street to the Chevron station where the air compressor works like a champ! If you need anything automotive do yourself a huge favor and don't waste your time at the Shell station. Just go across the street to the Chevron one. In the end, you will be glad you did. read more

I dislike this gas station. It is in the most convenient location for me right off the freeway, right side of the street as I am going to work. However, it is the tiniest, most cramped station you could think of. There is no room to get into it and no room to get out. And usually completely filled up. I stopped trying to get gas here a year ago. There are other gas stations on my way to and from work. One of the mini-mart employees here is apparently incapable of understanding basic common sense. I went in for a quick snack for my drive home, as this location is convenient for me since it is right before my entrance to 680 N. I selected two candy bars that have a tag listing them as $1.99 each, or buy 2 for $3.69. There is a graphic printed on the candy bar wrapper itself that states "2 for $3.33" I've made this exact purchase several times before and have never had an issue. I'm being rung up at the register and see that the candy bars are coming up as $3.33 and he scanned the bar in twice. I pointed out that this is wrong, and the employee just shrugged and told me that that's how the register is ringing them up (and that I can grab a different candy bar if I want. WTF) I point out the pricing on the wrapper itself AND the tag on the shelf and how he likely only needs to scan one to get the correct price for two. He shrugs again and tells me that's how they're ringing up. So...he thinks that even though the tag says that one is $1.99 and two is $3.33 (or $3.69, I would have even been okay with that) that it should be perfectly acceptable for me to pay $3.33 for one. Meanign I would pay $6.66 for two. Uh...what? A line was forming behind me and I a. was hungry and b. needed to get going so I ended up only buying one bar, but at the price of two due to the employee's inability to grasp a basic concept or modify the pricing. I'll be going elsewhere for gas and food from now on, regardless of how convenient the location is. It's always a hassle to get in, park and get out anyway. read more

Mark and Sonia are both lazy gas attendants. It's like the least qualified job you could possibly land and they are both unfortunately terrible at it. Sonia instead of helping the three people in her line decided she was done and off for her shift after the second. Mark not knowing his hand from the cash register took a total of five minutes to scan the first item and then proceeded to grab an item not supposed to be scanned and was told that but decided to do it anyway and then say "oh I have to voided it now" proceeds to take another five minutes writing out the void instead of moving the line like any gas attendant with a sense of time would do. I had to leave the gas station before buying my one drink on this 110 degree day thanks to Mark and Sonia. But I'll take my money else where and fill up this company gas at another establishment. I visit here regularly and this is my very favorite Shell gas station. The location is easy to access if you are heading West on Crow Canyon towards 680. Perks at this station are the car wash, extra long hoses to allow pumping from either side of your car, always clean with brand new pumps that operate perfectly, and lots of fresh water for washing your windshield. The workers inside are friendly, as far as gas station operators go. The only downside is the lot is very small, so there tends to be a jam up when it's busy. Due to the awful traffic on Crow Canyon, it's hard to get back on the street during rush hour. This traffic affects all the businesses along Crow Canyon and is to be expected, but I still lowered to a 4-star rating due to the overcrowding difficulties. read more

This is a terrible place to fill up if you have a motorcycle. Most stations seem to be able to shut off the pumps even with a M/C, but this place, no matter how you hold the pump, never shuts off, pours gas all over the tank. Wastes gas, money, and it's a lottery: sometimes a pump will be fine for a while, then BOOM, a gas flood. If you like roulette, this place is for you, but not for riders who care for their bike...and cash. read more

Wow I'm really impressed with the level of service I got here today.I think his name was Adam. He said we have the best car wash in town and that I should try it. So I did. I bought the $7 wash and headed to the wash. They have a scrub brush for the wheels before u go through.I really liked that.so wash complete. Red light turned green and was off so I thought, Then I noticed a bucket of fresh clean towels as part of the service to dry any sopts that remained if you were inclined. So I did. He was right.
