He rides his bike to work every day and he purchases three Dunkin Donuts Cafe Mochas, two Minute Maid lemonades and a sandwich for lunch from the convenience store at Rotten Robbie. Normally we stop into Rotten Robbie on East Ave in Livermore a few times a week for icees. We stopped today for a cool treat because it is 100 degrees out. I've never had to wait outside with my child when we go because he is accompanied by an adult. We proceed in per the usual but today Tim was at the door and he was extremely rude. Told me to get out and that parents now have to wait in line outside with their kids. I said "you've got to be kidding me". he said "nope, new rules get out". Needless to say that he could have spoken in a different tone and not be completely rude and he could tried a different approach. We walked right back out and we wont be a patron there anymore. I can't believe how it has changed since Shelley and Becky (who were running it) left. Do better to train your employees Rotten Robbie! read more

Rotten Robbie in Livermore has to be the cleanest store I've ever been in. I usually stop in at some point 5-6 times a week, and there's always someone cleaning something. Whether it's the floors, the glass ......something. The clerks are always friendly, and this is why I'm a repeat customer. read more

It's ok. It's good to have around- but it's certainly not cheap. I try to hit Costcos for gas- or to use my Safeway points for gas discounts. When I really need gas and the light is on, I'll go here- but mostly, nope. I try to go somewhere that's a better deal most of the time. Also, drivers seem to get confused here- not sure why, but I've seen some very weird driving tricks here- so be careful. read more

Rotten Robbie is well know to most LLNL employees I know. It's in a great spot, has a great inside, and is typically the cheapest in town! I haven't been during a time when all the tanks are occupied, but I don't know why. It's easily $0.10-0.20 cents less than others around. Inside is nice. 5 stars only for the fact that this is the best and most customer-service oriented gas station that I have ever been to. I know that kind of thing shouldn't matter, but when you fill up your gas tank maybe once a week or every other week at the same place, you start to become familiar with the staff, and every time they have been nothing but polite and pleasant. The prices are not bad either, this place is a very short drive for me both from my work and home, so it's kind of nice not having to worry about: Where am I going to get my gas? They have a pretty big selection of food inside, typical drinks, snacks, and etc. But they also have groceries, and I can see how that would be very convenient for some people who don't feel like making the drive to Safeway, Something I like is that they usually have a 3 for $2 deal of some sort on their energy drinks, which used to be a necessity when I worked long hours while going to school, it saved me more money than I would have spent if I had bought them regular price. Not many cons that I can think of. This is my go-to gas station for pretty much every occasion. The only one that comes to mind is that they close earlier than other gas stations, so if you need gas, you'll have to go to Shell or Safeway. read more

An elderly customer, a patriarch of a local ranching family, took the time to mention to the manager that their pump debit machine had been broken for some time. The manager told him to "shut up"! When his daughter went in to check on this, no apology was offered, and the manager denied it happened despite several witnesses. Then he asked how many more family members planned to complain! I come here for gas because they are very close to my apartment and they are usually the cheapest around. The staff inside the convenient store are friendly. I used to really like this place but they seem to have issues with their pumps being out of order all the time now. I really find the loud tvs built into the pumps annoying. This gas station is conveniently located near my house. The gas prices here are lower than most gas stations, with the exception of Costco and Safeway. I have only been inside a few times to pay for gas or buy soft drinks, and the staff was friendly on those occasions. The area where this station falls short is the availability of working card readers and working pumps. About 50% of the time I have to drive around the gas station to find a working pump/card reader or wait for one of the working few. read more

Next to Tiffany's Dance Academy, I am always talked into a visit by my daughters after their classes. The highlight of the visit is affordable sodas, filled by the new Coca-Cola Freestyle soda fountain. I work nearby and will often make a trip out of my way for a soda when I return from lunch. The facility is clean and the staff is quite friendly, familiar with me and my children as we're regular customers. read more

I grew up with this gas station most of my life and they haven't changed it at all. If you want to stop and go inside the convenience store then this is a great place because the people inside are friendly and helpful. If all you want to do is drive up, insert your credit card and fill up you may want to look elsewhere. The prices are very competitive but the card readers on the pumps are some of the worst I have ever seen. Because they are in the neighborhood I would prefer to shop here but stopped many months ago when they had problems with credit card numbers being stolen. Last night I was almost home when I decided I really needed gas so I stopped again. First pump wold not read my card. Moved to second pump and missed the sign the reader is broken pay inside. When I moved to the third and saw the same broken reader notice I decided I really did not need gas and went on home. Not going back soon. The bottom line is you have a good chance of actually going into the store if you stop for gas even if you don't want to. read more

It's hard to support a local neighborhood station when 25% of the pumps are yellow bagged at any given time and the rest have iffy card readers. They no longer will take your credit card and charge the amount used to fill up. You have to give a set amount. No more of this BS. read more

Paid about 44 bucks in premium gas for my car. Went inside to ask them if they could flip the switch so I could utilize the air after getting my gas. The response was, "or you could pay" from the female employee and the male employee just snickered. This is the only gas station I have gone to since moving to Northern California, since a fellow employee said they were local friendly and the most affordable and this will be the last time I utilize them. The gas pump played some kind of horrible comedy radio or something while my tank was filling. It could not be shut off. I gave them no reason to think I was brain damaged enough to want to hear this. I will never return. read more
