So difficult to use coupons at this CVS. Went to buy something because I was sent a $4 coupon by email. I took a screenshot so they can scan it easily without me having to log into my account at the store. They scanned, entered the number, nothing worked. I showed them the email and they wanted me to log into my account. The whole reason I took a screenshot of the coupon was so it wouldn't have to deal with this. Walked away because I couldn't spend any more time trying to save a few dollars in a $40 item. Went to another store and paid a lot less than what CVS would have been with coupon. I love all of the CVS stores in my area. Each one has a different selection of products and seasonal items. This particular location in the Safeway shopping center across from the Alameda County Fair is spacious, well stocked and always clean. Their seasonal selection is superb. I can always find something unique for the holidays. They have a variety of Halloween and pumpkin decor for this season. The staff is friendly, courteous, and helpful. read more

They just filled my Rx with a generic that is not comparable (isn't that illegal?), and then kept cutting me off and telling me I was wrong (rude and incorrect) when I tried to point this out to them. Prescription delivery. This happens to me second time in an year. Although the label says 180 the actual numbers was way less than indicated. This was for a BP drug. Although I explained to them for an hour over phone & in the pharmacy, the response they gave was that they count three times and they never are wrong. I finally had to pay $70 to get a refill. I was informed originally that only one of the two medications my daughter needed was available. I asked if there was a way to look of a location that had BOTH medications as my daughter really needed the ear drops. She stated they had a higher dose and she called to see if she could get that updated and told me that she gotten the OK and that both medication's would be ready in an hour. I sent my husband for pick up and they only had one of the two medication's available and on top of that the most important one; ear drops was not. I was not given a call or informed that they could not get it as the technician had assured me that they could get both of them. Pharmicist did not consult me on new medications. They were too busy working on prescriptions to stop for customers. And it took the cashier a long time to find my prescription and he had attitude, like it was my fault. I also could not read the tiny print for prescriptions. Ended up Googling them to figure out what I should not drink or eat or do before, during and after taking the meds, which turned out to be important. read more

After many years of being a customer at a different CVS, I moved so now this location is my CVS. I have always had a good experience but was sad to leave my old CVS where everyone knew my name. I phoned to get an RX filled that maybe need a new scrip from the Dr., but the employee ( I think Anoosh) asked me all the right question to problem solve and it turned out I didn't need a new scrip. I'm not sure WHY, but CVS changed the way we connect wirelessly when using the photo booth. I remember coming here earlier in the year which I was able to navigate just fine without having to ask anyone for help. This time I wasn't able to connect wirelessly/automatically like before. I kept getting an error message saying, "Unable to Connect" on my phone. I asked this guy working at the cashier for help and he was amazing!! Very knowledgeable, friendly, calm, thought outside of the box (USB cable). We need more CVS employees like him. Just like the same problem I was having at the CVS on Santa Rita near Trader's Joe I wasn't able to connect both wirelessly or manually (entering password which changes per session) on my CVS App on my Android phone. The guy tried to help me too, but the screen on the computer wasn't moving forward. Finally the guy was like, "Let's try using the USB cable because then all the photos will appear though slower," and I said, "Okay," and sure enough thinking outside of the box this guy was able to help me!!! Which meant I was able to help my middle school son complete his project by being able to help him print out photos. If you have an Android phone + using photo booth these are the steps to take. 1) First go through all the needed steps on the photo booth. IF I remember correctly, one would click on: A - Prints/Enlargement B - Sizes (I chose standard 4x6) C - Print in seconds D - Border or No Borders (I chose No Border) E - Android/IPhone (Android) Then would ask you how you would like to connect with choices of USB, Wirelessly/Manually or Bluetooth. Click on USB connection. Using your Android phone, go to your phone setting then click on Wireless Network and find the matching Wifi Network shown on the photo booth as shown in the list under your Wireless Network phone setting. Click and your Android phone should now be connected between the photo booth and your Android phone. From here, connect the correct USB cable to your Android phone as if you're going to charge your phone. Look at the screen on the photo booth to select which file you would like for the photo booth to upload from your Android phone. Be warned phones connected via USB cable will upload slower compared to how fast photos upload when connected wirelessly. If you have used CVS photo booth before then I would just assume one would know how to navigate the photo booth, but if you don't it's easy to use. All you have to do is click on each pictures (red box) you would like to buy. Each picture you click on will have a "-" and "+" which is used for quantity purpose. If for some reason you change your mind about wanting different sized photos one could simply click on "more options" on the right side of the photo booth screen to edit/change size of your photos. One could also crop photos too. Once you are pleased with your choices of photos you can find them in your shopping cart (bag symbol) top right corner. Clicking on your shopping cart will take you to the next page of summary. If you are pleased you can click on the photo booth screen to let the computer know you are done and ready to print your receipt + photos. Keep the printed receipt because you need this to show the cashier how many photos you printed, sizes and for how much you owe CVS. Paying for my pictures up front I once again bumped into the kind guy who helped me. I told him, "Thank You for helping me again," which he said, "No problem." I told him, "I had just come from the CVS location on Santa Rita near Trader's Joe where I had the same connection problem. Instead of getting helped by this girl over there she instead blamed it on the "wind." The guy laughed and said, "The wind has nothing to do with NOT being able to connect." I laughed too saying, "See? That's what I thought. What this girl told me didn't make any sense to me so I came straight here. For my future trip, I will just come to this location. Made sure prescription came in an hour before their lunch. Arrived 10 min before their lunch. They told me they hadn't filled it yet because my insurance didn't cover it. I said I I'll pay for it only 32.63. They said I would now have to wait because their lunch starts in 4 min not enough time to fill it before their lunch. My wife is now having to wait an extra hour in pain because of their incompetence to fill a 6 pill prescription in 4 min that they could have filled earlier but thought 30 dollars was a reason no to fill it. I can't speak to how well this pharmacy performs with prescriptions, but I can share what I've experienced with other aspects of this store/location. It is very clean and well kept. It actually might have a fighting chance to pass Christy A's bathroom inspection!!! All of the employees here are friendly and helpful. Since it is located in a busy complex, parking can be slightly challenging right around lunch time. But then again, that is an easy fix right? Just DON'T show up during the lunch rush!! :) Conclusion: Great staff, super clean, no parking issues (*outside of lunch hours*), and take note here folks, as this puts them over the TOP: They carry 8 out of the 10 Ice Breakers Ice Cubes Gum!!!!! Pharmacy is Unprofessional & Clueless 1- Tried to get a shingles vaccine - a very rude man (pharmacists?) yelled to the counter "either she has a prescription or she's over 60". First, that was rude. Second it is WRONG. The current recommendation is over 50 without a scipt. Shouldn't the pharmacist know this?? How many less than 60 yo's did he turn away?? 2- Dropped off a prescription 5 days before it could be filled and was assured the system would "flag" it to be filled accordingly. Wasn't flagged. They had to order the medication. The medication was "dropped off" the order. All in all the prescription I dropped off 5 days early wasn't dispensed until 7 days after the fill date -- a 12 day swing! 3- The cashiers are rude and condescending. And why?? They are working at a chain pharmacy and I am just trying to get my meds. The the attitude (especially the black lady) is off the charts. I've moved my prescriptions. And, just like his brother, CVS Pharmacy at 3010 Bernal, Pleasanton, CA, this pharmacy is just as bad!!! Another corporation that puts the money before the lives of people is just begging for a wrongful death lawsuit. I followed my old pharmacy in Pleasanton that closed because I knew the pharmacists, techs and clerks. Sadly, it didn't take long to see that the powers that be demanded MORE MONEY without hiring enough people to accommodate the customers. The LAST CVS Pharmacy I attempted to do business with was at, 6750 Bernal, Pleasanton, CA. That's right!! Two CVS's on the same street. I battled with pharmacists at both pharmacies. I saw two pharmacists at this location. Mistake after mistake and deliveries that were once free, pushed me "out the door". I now receive my rx's by mail and have no issues. It's nice to know I don't have to worry about miscommunication, drug errors and zero accomodations. It's sad that Longs philosophy is no longer with us, because CVS SUCKS!!! read more

The receptionists at this CVS are so rude to customers. CVS just lost a customer today. If a company does not even provide basic training to their store employees, then they don't deserve my business. I was looking for a particular medicine. CVS.com showed me that the medicine was available at their Bernal Avenue Pleasanton store. I could not locate the medicine so I went to ask the lady at the counter. She said it is not available, without even checking her computer. I told her I checked online and it tells me it is available at this store. She very rudely told me that just because it says so online doesn't mean the store has it. I hope they fire such rude store clerks. read more

The lady who did the passport photos was awesome - I needed passport photos for my kids for their US and Japanese passports. I saw that CVS photo computer actually had templates/requirements for a bunch of different countries. It didn't take very long and we had everything we needed. The absolute worst pharmacy and staff I have ever encountered. They first refused to fill a prescription my doctor wrote earlier that day because it may conflict with a scrip the SAME doctor wrote a week prior. They then were unable to verify the prescription after 6 business days and 8 calendar days. Absolutely incompetent. I have filed a complaint with the State Board of Pharmacy against the technician and the pharmacist. I fully intend to file complaints with CVS as well once their customer support is open again. I fully intend to ensure this CVS gets new staff and training and the existing staff don't care and are incapable of doing their jobs fully. I am also filing a grievance with my insurance carrier at their request and highly suggest anyone else dealing with them to do similar. read more

Definitely won't be using this pharmacy again. First time I went, there was only one person working and she was quite busy. I was the only person in line, but didn't get waited on for quite some time. Second time I tried calling to verify some information, and I waited on hold for 10 minutes an no one answered the phone. I then called back and was transferred to the general line and asked if there was a problem at the pharmacy or perhaps with the phone system. The person in the store said that she didn't know, they may be busy, and transferred me again. Another 5 long hold ensued before finally having the phone answered. When I asked the cost for the prescriptions, she again put me on hold, and when she answered, only gave me the cost of one of the meds and then hung up on me.
